This is, hands down, the best Chinese food. Not just in the area, it's just the best. It's worth the drive from Poughkeepsie, we've tried many other Chinese places in town and they definitely don't come even close to this place. The place is geared to take-out but it does have a few tables and it was very clean. The prices are great and the portions are colossal. Everything tastes really fresh and the sauces really have a lot of depth of flavor, really. Check it out!

    Definitely a nice find

They answered the phone , "Yes we are open to 10pm" so we make a bee line to Yeungs Kitchen. This place was packed with people picking up orders and more coming in as we waited for our food. Super busy spot off Dutchess Turnpike just past Adams. We ordered Fried Dumplings, Shrimp Toast, boneless spare ribs, General Tso with veggie lomein and Sweet Sour chicken. So far hands down best Chinese food since moving to Dutchess County. It's a bit of a drive from Hyde Park and we pass 3 other Chinese restaurants but I honestly think the food was amazing and not greasy. I will Definitely try them again and hope to make this my go to Chinese take out place. PS they are open Christmas and New Years.

Nice change of pace to find a place that good to customers and starts the food fast. I barely waited 5 minutes and my order was ready, as like wow less than usual 10-15 minutes standard. Plus thanked for my order as well. So for the food, shrimp were cooked perfectly same with broccoli and bathed in plenty of sauce, so glad they were not cheap with it, skewers were tender and flavorful. Even though it took a shorter than usual time to it, there was no loss in quality. I did notice this first place I found not to offer a soup with lunch specials, was bummed about that, but on the flip side their lunch specials were cheaper overall price point.

Happy Wok always has good cuts of meat and their sauces have the right balance. The food is never too greasy nor too dry. Their vegetables are fresh and give the right balance to all the meals. Maybe since moving to NYC I have frequented too many low-end Chinese restaurants, because none of them are as good as Happy Wok. All I need to do is go visit my father who still lives near Happy Wok and try their food again to reconfirm how good their quality is. Don't get me wrong, Happy Wok is still Americanized Chinese Fast Food, not authentic chinese food, but it's the best in its category around.

It appears that they do a lot of takeout, as there were only three tables inside the restaurant. It's obviously a family run place, because of one of the children was playing with their toys off in a corner of the kitchen. I decided to go for the shrimp toast, appetizer, and the lunch, special of shrimp and lobster sauce with vegetable fried rice, and wonton soup. The food came quick, and it was absolutely amazing. The shrimp toast was crunchy, and had a lot of filling in it. You could definitely taste the shrimp. There were six of them in the appetizer, which was very generous for the price. I was going to take a few home with me, but I couldn't stop eating them. I finished off the whole appetizer. I loved the shrimp in lobster sauce. At first, I was confused, because it was like an egg drop soup with shrimp in it. I thought it was going to be a Brown sauce. Then I realized, that's what lobster sauce is I was confusing lobster sauce with oyster sauce. The soup was creamy, rich, and delicious. There were "only" four shrimp in the bowl. I say "only" because those shrimp were huge! They were tender and delicious, and a very generous portion. The fried rice had a good flavor to it as well the rice was not under or overdone, and they were generous with the veggies.. I ended up taking home some of my shrimp main dish, and all of my wonton soup. The wonton soup reheated, wonderfully, the broth was delicious, and the wontons were tender. With a large amount of delicious filling. The price for everything was absolutely reasonable. I would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you!
