Food here is normally average. Sadly, it's the closest Chinese for us. Picked up an order tonight, including a large order of ribs. As soon as I opened the box, I could tell the ribs would be awful. They were overcooked, black and hard like old beef jerky. The lo mein was watery. We called to tell them and they were indifferent. They offered to remake them, but we asked for a refund. Drove back to the restaurant, handed them the box. The woman looked at them, threw them in the trash and handed the cash back and said, "Here." No apology. No nothing. Rude service and bad food. So I think it's great they have daily special section on the menu since some of more pricey stuff can be cheaper there like the triple delight, plus with lunch menu it's nice they separate the meats into there own selections, also very cheap for a lunch menu since other places it's more. The triple delight was great, plenty of meat and the garlic sauce, again it was like almost 4$ getting off the daily specials then the chef special section. The fried fish was very crispy and not all did the meat looked like shrinked while frying, the tartar sauce was great and wish the cup was bigger to dip into. Never seen craw fish fried rice on any Chinese take out menu, so had to try it, to me it was pretty mid fried rice, decent but not great, as for the craw fish bits there was plenty and it had that imitation crab meat as well, so it was more like a seafood fried rice than just crawfish. We were looking for a decent Chinese takeout, and the Beijing Chef was ideal. We ordered Sesame Chicken for dinner, along with hot and sour soup. They said ready in 15 minutes, and and it was. The food was as expected, as was the price. Will definitely come back, although for takeout only. It didn't have an eat-in vibe at all. I gave it a 4-Star because I was hoping it would be different than most small- town Chinese takeout places, but it wasn't. It seems all their food and menus come from one source : old and boring. This is, hands down, the best Chinese food. Not just in the area, it's just the best. It's worth the drive from Poughkeepsie, we've tried many other Chinese places in town and they definitely don't come even close to this place. The place is geared to take-out but it does have a few tables and it was very clean. The prices are great and the portions are colossal. I used to go there all the time and loved their food. I usually order fried dumplings as an app. but a few months ago the dumplings were not cooked through and were like raw dough. Well, everybody has a bad day. So, on 2/24/21I decided to forget dumplings and ordered scallion pancake which I am sorry to say, was the size of a pancake and he hard consistency of a hockey puck, with no scallion taste at all. I had Gen. Tso's shrimp which was good but was topped with sesame seeds, and broccoli which was cooked to death. I think I will have to stick with entrees or find a different place. read more

By far this is the best Chinese food place in Dutchess County ! We tried other Chinese food restaurants from Fishkill to Hyde Park, but this place is the best! The egg rolls are hot, light and crispy, without all that oily taste. We love the chicken and broccoli and or the chicken and string bean, both combos are outstanding. Also my husband will sometimes order the sweet and sour chicken, which is very good too ! We always receive fast and courtesy service, even on their busiest of days. read more

I was passing through and it was dinner time so I stopped at one place and could get no service. Ok so let me take my business elsewhere. I find this place, there are customers in the dining room and on the phone. I place my order and pay. 35 minutes every one has gotten their food even people who came in after me. Since I am now literally the only person left in this place the girl at the counter asks me what I'd ordered. I told her that it was fried rice....not complicated and small so...why am I still waiting. They apologize as the guy in back starts to cook my rice! !!! ARE YOU SERIOUS? I am 45 minutes from home and in no mood to cook tonight so here I am. Super frustrated to say the least. Not a good feeling about this town as a whole. We usually love this place! Good food, quick service. Today was a disappointment! We placed an order for delivery, left my credit card number and was told about 20 minutes. 40 minutes pass and no food. I call and they tell me that they "tried to run my card" but it wouldn't go through. I read them the same numbers and it goes through. I ask how long it will be and they said they had the order for pick up. I state that I had asked for delivery and it's already been 20 minutes over the amount of time it was supposed to be. She tells me they are not "too busy" to do delivery. Ugh. So I go pick it up, wait several minutes on line. I ask the woman taking orders why they don't call people if they have issues with the card and she stumbles through and says that she did call and I didn't pick up. This is false. I get home and half the order is wrong. The best part is we ordered steamed chicken and broccoli. I get a pint of broccoli with no chicken. On my receipt, it says steamed chicken and broccoli, no chicken. Ummm, IF I wanted that, I would have ordered just steamed broccoli so that I didn't pay $6 for a pint of steamed broccoli. It will be a LONG time until we go back, if ever. Very disappointed in the service tonight! read more

This is a good restaurant...flat out. It's Chinese take out in the A&P plaza and I like it a lot. The staff is quite nice, which is rare for a take out place in the Hudson Valley. They have a list of Cantonese specials that you don't find around. The Salt & Pepper Shrimp is DAMN good. This is the worst Chinese food restaurant I've ever been to. There was a long black hair found in my boyfriends chicken wings. My sons sweet and sour chicken was doughy and tasted old. My crab rangoons tasted like the oil was bad. I ordered 12 and only ate 3 which i'd normally eat them all. The restaurant was filthy. And the staff were all rude and one of them actually yelled at me for wanting my money back for all of this and after i brought the food back. We were very pleased with our take out order! The (Gluten free) tofu and mixed vegetables was delicious.
