I went there several times with two girlfriends of mine. We had Shrimp Chow Mein, Pepper Steak with Onions, Seafood Delight, Diet Soda, and Iced Tea. You can't go wrong. Everything on the menu looks great. The restaurant is mostly takeout but the tables fill up quickly. It is a "Mom and Pop," restaurant, but they are very nice and put their heart into it. It's your average Chinese take-out in a strip mall. There are tables off to the side. But, it's now take-out only. I should have stuck with one of the usual entrees, I opted for one of the chef's specials. Shrimp with bacon. It's been a very long time, since I had it. It seemed like a long time to prepare, 20 some minutes. It was a raft of shrimp with bacon fried in an egg batter over long strips of onions, peppers, baby corn and snow peas in a sauce reminiscent of the tomato based onions you get with a hot dog. Not for chopsticks, difficult enough to manage with a knife and fork. Not bad. But, nothing to write home about. read more

Really. Good Chinese's food. I usually go to the location in Newburgh. It's hard to find good consistent chiease food in the Hudson valley. Green garden is probably the most consistent upstate that I have had. The food is always great. I only eat chinease 2 to 3 times a year. I'm glad I stopped into green garden tonight. I ended up ordering a combo sesame chicken. It came with fried rice and a egg roll. The total price was $9 and change. There was a lot of chicken. There was so much food I only could eat one third of the meal. Most of the meal was chicken. Overall. Upstate chinease can be hit or miss. Green garden is very consistent and all of there locations. I was impressed with the food I received tonight. I prob will go to the Newburgh location because it's closer. But I would recommend coming to green garden for your next chinease food fix. The people at the restaurant are accommodating. I usually order a meal with many changes, which is always correct. I recently ordered shrimp lo mein; it was dry and sitting there for a while. Love this place so much we drive passed two other Chinese places on the way to get here. Their pepper steak and wonton soup are the best. They really know what they are doing. They have a sister location in Fishkill that is also excellent. They accept credit cards, the other review claiming cash only is out dated. read more

Great quality Chinese food! Quick service and a really nice staff. Great place for evening cravings. My only gripe is that i ordered spring rolls and received one containing shrimp. I really hate Chinese takeout but I was really craving it tonight and I'm a long way from Flushing :( This was the closest take out place. It's really not for what it is-a take out place. The decor is actually really clean for a take out place and the cooks are actually Chinese. The food is typical of a take out place. The crab ragoon wasn't that crispy though. On a plus side--they offer brown rice :) They sadly don't deliver but for a order of $20 and more, you get a free small pork fried rice. I had the hot and sour soup and it was actually really good--not oily and super salty like usual take out places. read more

I am in my car outside this restaurant, and it's exactly 3:05pm. I went into the restaurant at 2:55 and looked at their menu for a couple of minutes to place a take out order. When I attempted to place my order for 4 lunch specials to go, the employee looked at me and pointed to the clock and said I was too late, lunch specials end at 3:00. I thought he was kidding, but he was not! The clock was actually right at 3:00pm. There were no customers in the restaurant while I was there, and now I understand why. They clearly do not want their business to succeed with this AWFUL attitude and poor customer service. Obviously I will not be back. read more

Nothing over the top special, but was definitely delicious! Quick and pleasant service, although when I went it was slow. But I did notice that even though it was a slow time of day (midafternoon), the food was fresh, unlike some other places I've gone to.
