Pre-ordered for pickup after noon on a Friday. It was a fairly large order for 8 people and included several types of drunken noodles, pineapple fried rice, panang curry, a few orders of spring rolls, thai iced teas, mango sticky rice, and chicken satay. Everything was packed perfectly and nothing was missing. They even provided a cardboard cup holder for the drinks. At the counter, you can take your own cutlery, napkins, candy, and chopsticks. Everyone enjoyed the food. Mine was shrimp panang curry and I also tasted some mango sticky rice, thai iced tea, chicken satay and duck drunken noodles. They do have a smaller lunch portion, but I opted for the regular size which was enough for 2 meals. The panang curry hit the spot and had just the right spice level for me. The mango was perfectly ripe, thai iced tea perfectly sweet, chicken satay was tender and came with 2 sauces. The duck drunken noodles were cooked perfectly and there was a good duck to noodle ratio, but not really spicy. I did notice the restaurant was a bit cold inside, but I got takeout so did not stay to eat. Would love a way to pre-order pickup online - the websites available would only allow delivery ordering. The fried dumplings were delicious, the Tom Ka soup was absolutely breathtaking, and the entrées- Pad Thai & Mixed Seafood Pineapple Fried Rice left me with the desire to go back. Solid choice for Thai food. Stopped by on the way to Storm King Art Center (which is only a few miles away) and had a very good lunch. We had Spring Rolls and Steamed Pork Dumplings to start and Beef Pad See-Ew and Pork Massaman Curry as entrees - all were great with the minor exception that the pork was a little dry. I used to be a frequent customer. Until on one unfortunate visit I ordered the papaya salad. The waiter said it would be too spicy for me and brought out rice with it. I did not ask for the rice and could have taken the spice without needing to eat the rice. To my surprise when the check came I was charged for the rice! Finally got around to trying here since drive by all-time and Thai places are rare to find that Soley Thai specialized. It's pretty quiet and chill here, sat in to try the food over taking it to go and it degrade in travel. I have to say the guy that runs counter was very nice and always attentive to me and the other patrons. The chicken satay was very good, the chicken was cooked perfectly and still very juicy with every bite and well-seasoned, I love the peanut sauce that I poured over the chicken after ever bite, really good skewers for sure. Now Pad gra prow, all the veggies were cooked great and plenty of seafood since I got the mixed seafood option, and even the seafood was cooked just right, great stuff, but wish was spicier since it was rather mild, despite it being listed as a spicier item on the menu, not that brown soy sauce mixture was not good. A great surprise. We walked up an appetite @ Storm Kings and from Yelp review le (thank you my people!) we decided to try this place. It was 3pm that odd time between lunch and dinner when a lot of places close. The place was empty and didn't look like much. The thought crossed our minds that we might be making an epic culinary mistake. But this place is a gem. The food was served fast. The gentleman who served us mentioned he works for his family and he was the boss until he got married (;) now his wife does the cooking. The steamed pork dumplings were great, the chicken satay was good too but 2 of the 4 tenderloins were cartilage-y (is that a word-you get the point ;) but it was flavorful. They yellow curry was delicious and the cashew chicken was good. Tasted a bit like too much soy sauce/salty. White sticky rice. We look forward to further exploring their menu. read more

So delicious and never disappoints! I definitely recommend the red thai curry and chicken pad thai. The portions are huge too. I have had Kanda for takeout in the past but I went here yesterday with six of my friends and we were able to reserve a table for indoor dining. They have great COVID protocols--they disinfect everything before and after and are strict with facemasks if you are getting up to go to the restroom or not at the table. The waiter/owner was so friendly and the service was extremely quick. All of our food was ready in about 15-20 minutes! OK. I've been back here a few times and I've really tried to find something on the menu that tastes like Thai food but it just isn't there. The food is boring, there is no chili, no galangal or ginger, none of the typical Thai flavor profile that makes Thai food distinct from all other Asian foods. I really wish there was a really authentic Thai restaurant in the valley but my search has yet to find one. Honestly, it might be the best thai place I've had north of NYC... our group ordered chicken pad thai, the pad see ew, a couple curries, and spring rolls, and all were DELICIOUS. I had more than enough for 2 meals as well... because who DOESN'T want yummy thai food the next day. A couple of thai iced coffees and a delicious meal, then we were on our way back to Albany. For a Thai place upstate, oof this place exceeds expectations and is definitely on par with those in the City-- I'd come again if I were to go on another hike nearby (FYI for those who go on the Storm King hike). I stopped by, along with my group of 30+ people (needless to say we took over the whole restaurant) on random Sunday afternoon. They were definitely understaffed and were not expecting us to come-- but took it like champs, they were super professional (and when I say they, I meant literally the one waitress that was on staff taking our orders and serving every one). The food took some time to come, but if you were a regular group coming in, I'm sure the wait would not be long at all. Now that I've established how great their service was-- on to the food. The Thai food that I like to eat is super flavorful AND THE THAI FOOD HERE WAS SUPER FLAVORFUL. I ordered the Beef Pad Thai and it was great, SO GREAT. Having lived in East Asia for 20 years, this is what I can say with certainty. I'm not a big fan of Thai food (allergic to coriander), but this Thai restaurant was absolutely spectacular. I came in with such low expectations, and I walked out not only satisfied but truly impressed with how authentic, reasonably priced, and attentive the service was. Why this restaurant is not in Manhattan, I don't know, but the Thai chef and Thai owner seem to be wasting their talents in a small town. Everyone who's adventurous and who likes to try new things should eat here. They've been in business for three years, and I'm embarrassed to admit that I just tried it now. I wish I ate here sooner. My entire three-course lunch came to only $8.00! Unbelievably good, and the elderly couple sitting next to me also lived in East Asia (Bangkok, actually) and they were equally impressed. read more

I've been meaning to try this place for a while, and finally did. I'm already looking forward to going back. The flavors were all fresh and wonderful. I had tom yum soup which came with 4 shrimp in it (most other Thai places give you only 2 or 3 shrimp). As an entree, I had the pad gra prow with chicken. The serving was large and I really enjoyed it. Probably the best in the area for authentic Thai flavor, and the waitress was nice.
