This is one of my favorite spots, and I come here pretty often because the food is always consistently good. The shrimp pho is my go-to order--the broth is rich and flavorful, the shrimp is always fresh, and it's the perfect comfort meal. The seafood dumplings are also amazing. They're packed with flavor and always cooked perfectly. And I can never leave without getting a matcha boba. The matcha flavor is smooth and not overly sweet, and the boba is always just right. We tried almost all the different rolls, the Vietnamese egg rolls, the shrimp summer rolls , the pork summer , chicken rolls they were all delicious, but pricey .almost double than most places. Service was ok , but I could see they were short staffed , the kitchen worked well because the appetizers came out quick I must say , the food was good but , I wasn't to happy at all with the cleanness of the , bottom of were the floor meets the the wall it was virtually a dark mess the ambiance is sick and ugly not very attractive yeah I'll give a 4 for food but a 2 for cleanliness' I would have liked to have seen the kitchen , four thumbs up at least for the food . read more

Foods fine. Its tasty. But i feel the need to write the fact that the portions to cost ratio is atrocious. I used to live next to a lot of hometown Vietnamese spots like this in Honolulu and they're charging easily double here in Newburgh for what you get there. I mean seriously the $18 beef and rice platter was like a kids meal at McDonalds, you would have got away with it if there was just more Food but like hysterical one there with what i got. We stopped here on our way back home. The restaurant looks like your average Vietnamese restaurant, with plenty of seats. We were served right away and it did not take long before our orders were served. We started with the beef Banh Mi. Toasty bread with delicious beef! We shared it, and it was so good, that we ordered another one. Which we enjoyed after our Pho was done. My Pho with spicy broth was top notch, didn't have to add anything. The flavor was perfect. Nice Vietnamese restaurant with all the standard dishes. Love that the menu has pictures to go with the food so you know exactly what you are ordering. They also have bubble teas here! Beef Pho was delicious and we also had the shrimp pho and lemongrass spicy beef noodle. It wasn't spicy, but the flavor is nice. I've come here multiple times over the years, the service is always kind and while it's not the fastest (Vietnamese food is not a fast food in general) the quality is always high. I generally only get the brisket pho without noodles, and I usually also get another side of pho broth (delicious bone broth) on the side and it's only $7. Our food was good. In fact, the grilled chicken Banh mi sandwich that I had was really delicious! So why only two stars? ?? Well, first of all we visited it on a cold night- it was only 42° outside. But inside it felt like it was 12°! We were meeting friends that we had not seen for a long time and we tried to relax and enjoy our food - but sadly that is hard to do when you have to bundle up in your coats to eat, and SHIVER while you're trying to have a conversation! I mean, who wants to eat wearing their coat and gloves..? We mentioned how cold it was to our server and they said that they would check the temperature but nothing ever happened. It is really uncalled for to have a restaurant SO COLD that you cannot enjoy your visit or your food! The second problem was the timing of the service. Our food came out little by little and some of us decided to start eating so that our food did not get cold and we were about done before the rest of the group got their food! Not good... So I may consider ordering a grilled chicken banh mi sandwich to go... But I don't know that I could be talked into going back there!!! It's been a while since I've checked out this spot. As mentioned before I was a huge fan of the establishment across the River but that's mostly because I completely forgot this was around the corner from me. I've been here recently within weeks and I'm starting to get familiar with the staff and they are definitely very friendly and start my orders by the time I'm walking up to the door which is a nice touch. There's plenty of space indoors for a large group or just for yourself to sit in a corner and enjoy some great bun bo hue with some grilled pork summer rolls. The food is fantastic but if you're looking for something light and refreshing I recommend the salad with the chicken which is fresh, crunchy with a lime kick. read more

This place has my absolute favorite sandwich, the Banh Mi Saigon. The only problem is, you can only get it about once out of every five times you go. They also rarely have the flavor of bubble tea that you might want. If you happen to get lucky and they have what you are looking for available on any particular day, it's absolutely worth it. But over the last year they rarely seem to have it available. They should rename the restaurant "maybe we've got it but probably not." Which is a shame, because it was one of my favorite places to eat in Newburgh. read more

Decided to order some food to go, I was feeling greedy so I went with a few things. I ordered the chicken Pho soup, their chicken dumplings and the pork banh mi sandwich. The soup was served with all the ingredients separate (which I liked) giving me the option to add as much or as little ingredients as I wanted. The sauce that was provided to flavor the soup was a little off putting but overall the soup was average. The dumpling was not fried as I requested and was given to me steamed, although I prefer them fried they still had a really good flavor. I ordered food with 2 drinks , no ice and they gave me the cup a little more than half full. I only ordered no ice because they usually fill it up with so much ice I get very little juice. I did give them an opportunity to correct it. When the male server/cashier gave me my drinks I questioned him about it & he smiled and said "you didn't want ice." Their lemonade cost is $5.50 so I do not think it's unreasonable to ask them for a decent amount of drink with my meal. Their prices overall are higher than average. read more

I was soooo excited to finally find a Vietnamese restaurant not close but only 35mins away from me instead of an hour or more. Unfortunately I was soooo very disappointed. I ordered the Cơm Gà Nướng Sả (grilled lemon grass chicken) with Jasmine rice, summer rolls, seafood dumplings and chicken dumplings and no bueno at all. The lemon grass chicken was for sure not lemon grass bc I've had Vietnamese food before. The chicken looked more like chicken I would get at a Chinese restaurant. Definitely not grilled lemon grass chicken. Picked carrots and cabbage were not pickled or good either. Dumplings were soggy and summer roll was falling apart before I could even pick it up. And let's not talk about the peanut sauce that came with it! Sad to say not worth the money or the trip. It's a no for me. read more

Food is good until I saw the kitchen door open and saw that they don't utilize gloves or any form of proper state standards for managing food or making it. I waited an hour for two orders of steamed seafood dumplings, insane. Only to see that multiple people who came in after me were serviced.
