Food 4/5 Service 3/5 Ambiance 3.5/5 Value 3/5 Found some pho in New Paltz that was actually pretty decent! The broth in the Pho Tibet Special was good - super rich and packed with Tibetan spices. The braised beef rib in it was the highlight, it was super tender, and that pineapple dipping sauce on the side was a great add and worked really well for the meat. However, for the price, the portion was tiny. After finishing a whole bowl I was still hungry haha.

Finally got to try here, since sort of hard to tell when they are open, no displayed hours. Was given a table in the corner, so let's say I was not noticed much. For the food, never had Vietnamese lime iced tea, but it was lightly sweet and refreshing, beef pho was very flavorful, particularly the broth, plenty of noodles and a decent amount of beef. For the beef momo, never had til today, sort of reminds me of soup dumplings because of the shape, they were good, pretty flavorful and plenty of filling. Definitely a interesting first try this cuisine type

This place was such a fantastic surprise! First, there were so many vegetarian options to choose from, which is always a great start. It was my first time having Banh Mi, and WOW. I ordered the Veggie one, and the flavors and texture were so on point. Everything was so good and fresh! The Veg Spring Rolls were probably the best ones I have ever had (and note that I am crazy about spring rolls), mainly because of how fresh they tasted! Service was good and very fast. On a non-vegetarian note, my husband was also obsessed with his Lemongrass Chicken Bahn Mi. We certainly will be back soon.

Food is delicious! Honestly I wanted to give them 3 stars bc the service, every single time I've gone there has sucked. Inattentive and shit attitude lol. Idk what's up w them. Atmosphere is mid, so I think I'll just stick w take out next time.

Love Love Love this place. We stopped in here on our way home from a upstate trip. I was so excited to see a place that had momos and Banh Mi. I grew up near a Vietnamese area and have missed authentic Vietnamese food. Food: We ordered the spring rolls - they come with mint leaves and lettuce to wrap them in before eating. It's been so long since I had authentic Vietnamese spring rolls. They tasted delicious, came out fresh, well seasoned, and the sauce paired with it all perfectly. For entrees, I got the veggie Banh Mi. It was so good! They made it spicy like I asked and the tofu was perfectly marinated and seared. The bread was the right amount of crispy and everything was perfectly balanced. We also got the soy protein rice dish. Loved it as well! The tofu was well seasoned and marinated and it was saucy enough to eat with the rice. Atmosphere: A casual spot that anyone can come and eat at it. Service: Everyone was very friendly and happy to answer questions. Service was also quick and food came out fresh but fast. Price: Very reasonably priced especially considering the amount of food we got.

Every time I'm in New Paltz I want to slurp down a hot bowl of pho here, as this is one of my favorite pho/Vietnamese restaurants. The bone broth is slow simmered with herbs & spices and is exquisite. Great momos and banh mi too. The owners are Tibetan hence the name, but this food is as authentic and top notch as they come in both Vietnamese and Himalayan cuisines. Love also the spicy & sweet heat of the house chili in oil that sits on every table. Food comes out quickly and prices are very reasonable. I haven't been here in a while and the service isn't as warm as it used to be (though not bad by any means) and the waitstaff seemed harried, but it's a college town and people come and go. This area is popular for hiking and outdoor activities, and will continue to be one of my go-to's when we are up here.

I stopped by this place after walking around New Paltz and aren't I glad I did! At first glance, you'll notice the very cultural (and quite beautiful) decor. I was seated immediately and, after looking at the menu for a bit, I decided on the Photibet special salad. It came very quickly and the meat on top was streaming hot and once I added the sauce that comes along with it (I chose the spicy sauce) it melted in my mouth! The salad itself is made from an assortment of shredded vegetable and fruits, which included green mango and papaya, which were fresh and crunchy! I finished off the meal with their signature Tibetan lemonade which came with a lime slice and mint leaves. Overall, this place was a unique experience, from the setting to the food, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to expand their palate!

Brought back so many memories of Tibet / Nepal / Vietnam - yummy momos (dumplings) - also got a vegan soy protein pho and beef banh mi and double fried chicken breast banh mi. Felt like we were in Asia. So good.

For a change of pace, I tried this place out today. I ordered shrimp summer rolls, lemongrass chicken salad, mixed momos. Shrimp Summer rolls-Tasted fresh, pretty good Lemongrass chicken salad- The chicken itself was ok, the chicken didn't have any lemongrass flavor but was cooked ok. The dressing was nasty. Mixed momos: bleh, taste like those frozen xiao long bao you buy at a chinese supermarket. They tasted nothing like momos. Waste of money. Service: Not particularly helpful, was nearly empty and they tried to pressure me to sit at bar instead of a table. Overall: Likely won't come back to.

I don't usually review a place after just one visit but I was so blown away by my meal that I had to give Pho Tibet 5 stars right away. I had short rib banh mi and it was superb. I split a shrimp salad - I don't know how they cooked the shrimp but they were so flavorful and had a roasted taste to them. I also tried the momos sampler which was a nice way to try all three of their different momo options. The service was very fast and the restaurant was spacious yet cozy. Prices are very reasonable and the meals are nice and filling. I will definitely be coming back to try more of this menu!

We really liked take out from Pho Tibet! We had the shrimp spring rolls, vegetarian pho, veg bahn mi and some momos. Everything was flavorful with a generous portion sizes! The seasoned textured soy protein was tasty as well. Pho broth was flavorful and came with all the fixins securely packaged. Fresh bread in the bahn mi, too. The interior is cozy casual and super convienent main st location. We'd definitely head back for another meal!

Besides pho and banh mi, the restaurant also has a variety of drinks. My family and I shared a fried pork spring rolls and it was delicious! Perfectly crisped and meaty without being too overloaded. As for the pho, my sister and dad got the sliced steak pho and my mom and I got the grilled pork chop pho. The sliced steak was overcooked and the grilled pork chop was not as flavorful as I'd like. The pho was decent but not the best. The service was great as the server came to check up on us every now and then - refilling our water as well. Water is complimentary but tea is extra charge. There is one restroom for customers as well. As we were heading out, we decided to order drinks to try. We got a Thai iced tea and a Vietnamese coffee. The Thai iced tea was good - not too sweet with enough tea flavor. Ideally, I would like a little more tea flavor though. As for the Vietnamese coffee, my sister and mom enjoyed it very much. If you write a Google review, you can get a free drink of your choice too.

As an alumni returning for a weekend visit, I was initially disheartened to discover that my beloved local Thai house, Lemongrass, had closed its doors. However, fate had a delicious surprise in store for me and my friends as we stumbled upon Bangkok Cafe, only to realize it was under the same management as Lemongrass! From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in the comforting aroma of authentic Thai spices and the welcoming ambiance of familiar faces. Each dish we ordered transported me back to my school days, with every bite reminiscent of the culinary magic I had come to cherish at Lemongrass. While every dish we sampled was incredible, the Pad See Ew stole the show! I love Thai food and have been to many amazing restaurants but this pad see ew will always be #1. The noodles are perfect in every aspect - size, shape, and texture. What truly sets Bangkok Cafe apart is not just the outstanding food, but also the affordability without compromising on quality. In a world where good food often comes with a hefty price tag, Bangkok Cafe remains a beacon of accessible excellence. The service is also always top notch. Everyone is so friendly and the food comes out quick! When my dad and I finally came in, the waitress asked if it was for two, and I said no, for four. When my mom and aunt returned, it felt awkward knowing the restaurant had a restroom but didn't allow them to use it. That was very rude and disappointing.
