Ots not the first time we ve been there. And usually all 4 Pho soups are great. Today 3 out of 4 were great. Mine had beef slices overcooked to smithereens and tough as nails. I love pho... and I have recently tried Tibetan food and loved it, sooo Tibetan pho? yeaaa gonna have to eat it!!! I ordered the Pho Tibet Special,,, it was such a icy cold day this hot soup brought me back to life it was sooooo good! SO GOOD! If we went on food alone this would be 10/10 but I am so disappointed with the service!! Like? There was only one other table dinning when I went with my group of three, I am assuming they probably have a lot of online orders and that is why it took so long for the food to come but it was not just the food! The staff themself took so long to come take our order and did not even look in our direction that I had assumed I had to go up to the counter to order (which you don't they come to your table), and when we did order they forgot our summer rolls, they forgot to bring us water, and forgot to bring us silverware... come on... I don't want to be a hater! Eventually we got the summer rolls and silverware but I never got water? they brought water for the rest of my table though lol. Damn, this place lives up to its rating. At first, I was a bit alarmed at the price of the dishes, but I quickly forgot about that as I ate. It's not only the food that delivers a 5-star experience, although the banh mi is just damn perfect, fresh and spicy (if that's your thing) like it should be. My wife was super satisfied with the vegetarian protein (seitan) one that was marinated to perfection. The staff was so thoughtful! We were trying to squeeze our meal into 30 minutes or less, and even without us mentioning that, when we ordered the momos, the server let us know that they would take about 10 minutes to prepare. Even though we skipped them, we were grateful for the heads up...this used to be customer service 101 but has become difficult to come by. Great job! We need to come back and have a proper meal, but for now, I can say this is one of the best banh mi I've had! read more

Finally got to try here, since sort of hard to tell when they are open, no displayed hours. Was given a table in the corner, so let's say I was not noticed much. For the food, never had Vietnamese lime iced tea, but it was lightly sweet and refreshing, beef pho was very flavorful, particularly the broth, plenty of noodles and a decent amount of beef. For the beef momo, never had til today, sort of reminds me of soup dumplings because of the shape, they were good, pretty flavorful and plenty of filling. This place was such a fantastic surprise! First, there were so many vegetarian options to choose from, which is always a great start. It was my first time having Banh Mi, and WOW. I ordered the Veggie one, and the flavors and texture were so on point. Everything was so good and fresh! The Veg Spring Rolls were probably the best ones I have ever had (and note that I am crazy about spring rolls), mainly because of how fresh they tasted! Service was good and very fast. We were treated incredibly rudely by the hostess this afternoon 07/26/26 at approximately 2pm when my husband and I entered with our two golden retrievers service dogs. Both wear red service vests with tags. We chose this place because they had a billboard outside that advertised an assortment of gluten free food, and I have celiac disease. The restaurant was nearly empty.. I am disabled and handicapped. Why two service animals? Because the older one, 8.5 years old is nearing retirement (age 9), and the younger one (3 years old) is taking over the outside duties of assisting me in walking, picking things up for me, etc. The younger one observes the older one and does exactly what the older golden does. When we entered the restaurant the hostess immediately refused to serve us and said "This is a private business and does not allow dogs. I tried to explain to her, very calmly, that she these were my service animals and denying me access was a violation of my rights as a disabled person re: ADA regulations. She told me she did not need to do so. I said "Let me try to educate you about ADA legislation." She turn around, went to the bar, sat down and with her back to me loudly said "I don't need any education, this is a private business I do not have to serve you. I'm worried about people who are allergic to dogs". That is not permissible under ADA so I asked her for a business card and told her I would be filing a complaint. Without looking at me she said they didn't have any cards, so I took a photo of the menu. As we were about to leave the two couples who were in the restaurant, told her they did not mind the dogs. As we went to the door the hostess got between the door and us and said "do you want to sit here?" I told her "Are you denying me access or agreeing to serve us?" She pointed to a table and said we could sit down there. When we sat down our Golden's took their place right next to me and laid down, as they are trained to do (see photo). They never moved the entire time. Not only was the hostess rude, but the gluten-free options advertised were not gluten free -- again after telling me the foods were not gluten free -- this same woman told me "most people are fine after eating the items." The entire experience was unbelievable. We ordered the safest food available, and honestly were too aggravated to enjoy our meal. No respect for a person with disabilities, no understanding of the risks involved in serving gluten to a person with celiac disease, and no apology for treating us so rudely. The two other couples commented on how incredibly well behaved our goldens are (our girls never moved until we got up to leave). The food may be good, but the service is atrocious. And yes, I will follow through and file an official complaint. read more

Love Love Love this place. We stopped in here on our way home from a upstate trip. I was so excited to see a place that had momos and Banh Mi. I grew up near a Vietnamese area and have missed authentic Vietnamese food. Food: We ordered the spring rolls - they come with mint leaves and lettuce to wrap them in before eating. It's been so long since I had authentic Vietnamese spring rolls. They tasted delicious, came out fresh, well seasoned, and the sauce paired with it all perfectly. For entrees, I got the veggie Banh Mi. It was so good! They made it spicy like I asked and the tofu was perfectly marinated and seared. The bread was the right amount of crispy and everything was perfectly balanced. We also got the soy protein rice dish. Loved it as well! The tofu was well seasoned and marinated and it was saucy enough to eat with the rice. Atmosphere: A casual spot that anyone can come and eat at it. Service: Everyone was very friendly and happy to answer questions. Service was also quick and food came out fresh but fast. Every time I'm in New Paltz I want to slurp down a hot bowl of pho here, as this is one of my favorite pho/Vietnamese restaurants. The bone broth is slow simmered with herbs & spices and is exquisite. Great momos and banh mi too. The owners are Tibetan hence the name, but this food is as authentic and top notch as they come in both Vietnamese and Himalayan cuisines. Love also the spicy & sweet heat of the house chili in oil that sits on every table. Food comes out quickly and prices are very reasonable. I haven't been here in a while and the service isn't as warm as it used to be (though not bad by any means) and the waitstaff seemed harried, but it's a college town and people come and go. This area is popular for hiking and outdoor activities, and will continue to be one of my go-to's when we are up here. read more

They were amazing today - made a very stressful day so much better by getting started earlier than they opened to make me a takeout meal. I stopped by this place after walking around New Paltz and aren't I glad I did! At first glance, you'll notice the very cultural (and quite beautiful) decor. I was seated immediately and, after looking at the menu for a bit, I decided on the Photibet special salad. It came very quickly and the meat on top was streaming hot and once I added the sauce that comes along with it (I chose the spicy sauce) it melted in my mouth! The salad itself is made from an assortment of shredded vegetable and fruits, which included green mango and papaya, which were fresh and crunchy! I finished off the meal with their signature Tibetan lemonade which came with a lime slice and mint leaves. The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming, the staff were kind and accommodating, and the pho was honestly some of the best I've ever had--truly delicious! We did want to share a small concern, though. We noticed that a $15 tip was automatically added to our bill without prior notice. We understand if this is the restaurant's policy, but we were a bit surprised, especially since we hadn't been informed in advance. I was actually planning to leave a generous tip myself, so it just caught us off guard. Mixed momos: bleh, taste like those frozen xiao long bao you buy at a chinese supermarket. They tasted nothing like momos. Waste of money. I don't usually review a place after just one visit but I was so blown away by my meal that I had to give Pho Tibet 5 stars right away. I had short rib banh mi and it was superb. I split a shrimp salad - I don't know how they cooked the shrimp but they were so flavorful and had a roasted taste to them. I also tried the momos sampler which was a nice way to try all three of their different momo options. The service was very fast and the restaurant was spacious yet cozy. Prices are very reasonable and the meals are nice and filling. I will definitely be coming back to try more of this menu! read more

We really liked take out from Pho Tibet! We had the shrimp spring rolls, vegetarian pho, veg bahn mi and some momos. Everything was flavorful with a generous portion sizes! I ordered the mixed momos and the spring rolls to go while passing through town. Granted I've never had momos before, but they were SO delicious! The different fillings were veggie, pork, and beef. They all had different flavor profiles and all were flavorful and juicy. The spring rolls (with shrimp) had a great crunch, and is served with some lettuce and fixins to ale wraps. All of the food was so good that we ate everything before remembering to take photos of the food. We'll definitely stop by again if passing by again! read more

We came here for lunch and there was no line and we got seated right away I believe I ordered the meat pho and it came with tiny portion (see pic) and a bit pricey for its quantity. The broth was ok. The meat selection was poor and just some slices of meat. It differed as i had in mind or what i would normaly get in New York I believe there is another pho place nearby called ipho. My husband and I went on a Sunday evening. The four shrimp summer rolls lacked sprouts and crunch. The peanut sauce reminded me of peanut butter. Everything fell apart as we tried dipping into this sauce. The grilled lemon grass chicken vermiceli lacked any flavor. The only greens were cut salad. No carrots, cucumber, or sprouts. We were offered a chili or ginger carrot sauce. The latter was the best. I missed the traditional sweet vinegar sauce. My husband ordered a Tsingtao. He received the bottle: no glass. Upon request, the server offered him a small jam jar. He also had to ask for a fork as he was not comfortable with chop sticks. The setting, next to the stream is beautiful. Service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant does charge an extra 3% for credit cards. We were disappointed. read more

The name of the restaurant caught my attention. I didn't even know the two could be a combo. I definitely know my pho but not Himalayan cuisine. The special pho I got had the right aromatic pho flavors. The beef was so soft and tender. I sadly didn't really taste the pineapple that they claimed to have in it. What a pleasantly decorated, clean and well lit establishment. We were treated by a very polite young gentleman last who got us our drinks immediately. She was patient as I was seeing my friend for the first time in 3 years. We must have chatted for close to 30 minutes before ordering but no one hassled us. We had the shrimp summer rolls which were delicious. Very fresh ingredients. I had the beef pho which had very deep flavors in the broth. It was scrumptious. My friend had the special which had beef brisket in it and he really enjoyed his first exposure to pho soup. We also had mango lassis which were refreshing on a warm and sunny late afternoon. Stopped at Pho Tibet for a quick dinner while in the area for a wedding. The name was a little confusing to me considering Tibet is like 3,000 miles from Vietnam... but it seems to be a predominantly Vietnamese restaurant that also serves Tibetan momos. I had chicken pho and it was quite good. The broth in particular was probably one of the most flavorful I've ever had. I will be thinking about that broth for a while! The atmosphere is quiet and VERY clean- to the point that it smelled a little of cleaning products, but better that than being unclean, right?- and the service was friendly and quick.
