    Calamari. No flavor, just breading.

I got my food to go. Everything from the steamed buns to the calamari seemed to be store bought. The calamari is definitely way over priced for the generic Sam's Club appetizer they serve you. The duck buns were good until I noticed all the little blue fibers that were covering them. Like they were handled with or steamed in a deteriorating blue cloth. Tried to zoom in with my camera but my phone camera is not good quality.

Curry bowl with Cantonese noodles (ramen-like) and teriyaki chicken

I came for lunch and was very pleased with the friendly service who recommended my meal. I ordered the curry bowl which has a well spiced broth and I chose the Cantonese noodles plus teriyaki chicken. It arrived to my table fairly quickly despite the lunch rush. Great umami taste; only complaint was lots of peppers and onions for my liking so I would suggest asking for fewer veggies but the amount of noodles, broth, and chicken was perfect. I didn't really get anything Mexican so I can't comment on the fact that this place is a Asian/Thai-Mexican fusion restaurant but I can confidently say the Asian side is well done. Mostly plastic utensils and bowls so completely casual, almost fast-food like experience. Affordably priced for the taste and amount of food you actually get. It was pretty well portioned and I ended up packing some of it. The food comes in microwave safe relatively fancy to-go containers so it was convenient to pack up my leftovers by just asking for a lid. All in all a great experience and delicious food.

Bulgogi beef Asian bowl, kimchi, and fried chicken lotus buns

I really enjoyed this spot. The proportions were filling and had fresh ingredients. Ordering process was quick and easy and I appreciate the covid precautions! Makes me feel safe eating take out from here. Wasn't expecting the fried chicken to be like chicken tenders however still tasty. I would go back here and honestly wish I lived closer!

lotus buns with Korean bulgogi and flaming wontons

came here for dinner first time here. so I was greeted by the staff and offered suggestions on the menu and even told anything can be edited for my taste. so I was browsing the menu and I was not rushed and ordered the lotus buns with Korean bulgogi beef and flaming wontons. the staff brought out my food very fast and man was it a sight. the flaming wontons were spicy, but not overpowering, full of flavor and plenty of filling. the lotus buns with Korean bulgogi beef, the buns were soft pillows and very sponge like soaking up the sauce left over from the flaming wontons. Korean bulgogi beef, was flavorful and tender, wish I had more in the buns. staff was friendly and asked how was the meal after I finished and thankful I had patron them. overall, a great experience for a first impression.

Is there an option not to be served in disposable/plastic containers? the food looks great but I am deterred for environmental reasons.

This super orange spot however, is hard to miss located on Old Route 299 in Highland, NY. And the interior at Órale M., is just as colorful with Mexican ceiling banners and wall murals. At $16 or so for small, 'street-style' shrimp tacos, they were a bit more than what I wanted to pay- but hey...seafood prices right? The doubly-ply tacos were filled with diced and succulent+seasony shrimp. The right amount of veg was nice too. I've been to Mexican spots where tomato+onions+cilantro overpowers the protein- but not here which I liked. Shrimp tails were cooked with the cut up shrimp and not sure if this was an oversight(?) or, just how they do(?). The meal was comforting at least..... without the tails of course. My diluted-looking horchata had wonderful taste- but, service was nice and so were the complimentary chips and salsa.

As an alumni returning for a weekend visit, I was initially disheartened to discover that my beloved local Thai house, Lemongrass, had closed its doors. However, fate had a delicious surprise in store for me and my friends as we stumbled upon Bangkok Cafe, only to realize it was under the same management as Lemongrass! From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in the comforting aroma of authentic Thai spices and the welcoming ambiance of familiar faces. Each dish we ordered transported me back to my school days, with every bite reminiscent of the culinary magic I had come to cherish at Lemongrass. While every dish we sampled was incredible, the Pad See Ew stole the show! I love Thai food and have been to many amazing restaurants but this pad see ew will always be #1. The noodles are perfect in every aspect - size, shape, and texture. What truly sets Bangkok Cafe apart is not just the outstanding food, but also the affordability without compromising on quality. In a world where good food often comes with a hefty price tag, Bangkok Cafe remains a beacon of accessible excellence. The service is also always top notch. Everyone is so friendly and the food comes out quick! Needless to say, Bangkok Cafe has effortlessly claimed the title of my favorite Thai restaurant, a position it will undoubtedly hold for many years to come.
