Sought out this restaurant after several friends recommended after a trip to the Danbury mall. My party ordered several appetizers such as the lemon grass spring rolls hot and sour soup and red curry mussels all were amazing and perfectly prepared. The main course was Pho shore which was a trip to heaven sizzling lemon grass chicken and vegetarian stir fry, all in party where more than satisfied with the portions and quality of each dish. Their chicken pad thai version is so delicious that we had it twice in the same week. Every bite just leads to the next and before you know it, you are close to having no leftovers for the next day. Their crispy wontons were too fried and oily and thus unappetizing but there are other interesting plates to try from their menu. The fried rice was also well-received. read more

We were mostly satisfied with this restaurant. The soup, spring rolls, and dumplings were delcious. The ginger chicken dish was decent, but the chicken texture was just okay. Some of the bowls had chips on them, so I would recommend updating these. We will definitely return. read more

Pho Vietnam is consistent IMO. Service is fast and friendly and I usually go after 1pm when it's less crowded and busy. I love the curry chicken soup, very comforting. And I also love getting the caramelized pork, tasty and satisfying and always ask for extra greens. read more

This. Is one of the worst place I have been for pho. Dirty table and seating. I don't know where all these reviews coming from. It is unpleasant place to go for lunch or dinner. Local Health Department needs to monitoring and check all the protocols and codes. Really not good . A small yet uniquely decorated restaurant, where arched wood ceilings set a cozy ambiance. With only a few tables available, small groups are probably best. But our group of seven found a large table available toward the back. The service left room for improvement as our meals were served pretty far apart. Ideally, we would all be able to slurp our soups together without fear of anyone's getting cold. Also, our dishes were initially served to the wrong people, requiring a bit of reshuffling--not a deal-breaker, but certainly appreciated when it doesn't happen. Apart from that, every bite was delicious, and everyone was thrilled with their meals. The classic Pho was a favorite, praised for its fresh ingredients. I'm on a bit of a red curry kick, so I wanted to try the Mi Coconut Curry; each slurp was a delight! The egg was well done, but I believe a medium or soft egg would have elevated the dish even more. The lychee black tea, though a bit on the sweet side, was a refreshing companion to the soup. The highlight was the Lemongrass Pad Thai, which my husband found impressive due to its unique flavors. So, I had an uncomfortable interaction with the host earlier today. I place an order for a pickup, and it was the chicken bun, extra shrimp and a drink. When I got there my bag was on the table but there was no drink. I felt the bag several times thinking my drink was inside, but it wasn't. The host look at me, and I stated that my drink wasn't there. She proceeded to tell me that the drink I order they didn't have the ingredients and I wasn't charged. I tried to explain to her that I was charged for the drink. She reviewed the receipt and was explaining to me that I wasnt charged but the receipt clearly broke it down that I was charge. She was very dismissive and insisted that I wasn't charged. Although I tried to continue to explain this to her, but she wasn't listening. I didn't have my phone on to me show her the breakdown because it was in my car. So, I took the food and went to my car. I looked at my order on my phone, and it confirmed the charge. So, I went back to show her that I was charge but her demeanor was very offensive and dismissive. So, she eventually did a mock order, and it confirmed that I was charged for the drink. So instead of apologizing she annoyingly says, "what do you want". So, I said either a refund or a drink. She had an attitude as if I did something wrong. She made my drink and handed it to me. She never apologized, nor gave me eye contact or anything. I asked her if she was upset with me because of this error and she explains to me that I was aggressive when I came in (which I absolutely wasn't aggressive at all). I tried to have a conversation with her to have a clear understanding, and she just cut me off and said, "okay bye". There was another woman that worked there who was apologetic, and I thanked her for acknowledging me as a person. I can't help to think that the host was biased against me because of the color of my skin, sometimes deep down inside you just know. She spoke down to me, she dismissed me as a person and paying customer, and she didn't take any accountability of their error. My interaction with her made me cry. Small restaurant, but seems to do a good mix of both dine in and take out. Short rib dumplings were tasty as were the fried spring rolls. The bubble tea was frozen and very delicious. They didn't serve alcohol but it appeared to be BYOB if you wanted. Entrees were large portions and very filling. Service was friendly and everything came out fairly quickly. I recently ordered some food to go, Hot & Sour Shrimp soup, fried egg rolls, and Sizzling Lemon Chicken, all of which I've had dozens of times. The fried egg rolls have changed dramatically. They now appear to be from Costco, totally devoid of good flavor, texture, and appearance. Big mistake to change your food instead of raising prices. I won't get them again unless they revert to the original recipe. The soup was very oily for some reason, and the Sizzling Lemon Grass Chicken was so oily I couldn't even eat it. They both also made a nasty yellow mess I'm guessing the regular chef is not cooking at this location, but may be at their new location. Pretty disappointing. read more

I don't know if it's the friendly staff, menu variety, simplicity or how accommodating they are. Perhaps it's just all the above. That's why I love this place, PHO real! Slurping is encouraged (I love how it's even stated on their menu). Warm yummy dishes prepared at the moment. Bubble tea. Pho. Stir fries. Everything is so delicious. The best part is they are vegan, vegetarian and gluten free friendly. What I love the most is they will basically do any and all types of substitutions especially if you have any food allergies. I don't even want to tell you about this place. It's that good. I'd rather have it all to myself. Low key yet fun environment with some of the best noodle soups and huge pho bowls. What a hidden gem! The ambiance is very nice. Very clean. They have a water fountain sound in the background. Service very friendly, attentive and prompt. Eager to please. Prices are reasonable. Two things: The menu was a bit hard to read, if you are new to Vietnamese food. Check out the pics on Yelp. Otherwise you will take a bit to figure it out or need help. Per my experience: I really enjoyed the food. Delicious. However, I wish they would have specified that their bubble tea is actually milk, like a milkshake. Sort of ruined it at the end. I like the one on Eagle Road better. This one is run down and old and the ingredients don't seem as fresh. The sprouts for the pho look old and ready to go. They give you one time stalk of basil. We asked for a bit more sprouts and basil and they were so stingy about it. The only reason we ended up this location is because we accidentally ordered from here. Had high expectations from reading many reviews. Perhaps the Pho is great, but we chose the beef pad thai, pork fried rice and fried spring rolls. Spring rolls tasted good, altho pricy for two thin rolls at $5. Some beef in the pad thai was chewy, like gristly. The noodles on top also tasted not quite cooked. Maybe 1 min more would have been perfect. The noodles on the bottom were actually perfect. Baby bok choy tasted great, wished there was more. In fact, wished there was more vegetables overall. Seemed like it was skimpy on the vegetables. The fried rice was also crunchy, like the rice needed to cook more. Taste was good though. Service was good. They did come around a few times with water refills. Attentive. Friendly. Definitely think they used msg cuz I'm really thirsty now. If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food, I would not recommend this place. I would rate it very mediocre Americanized Vietnamese food. The broth was not fresh, the rice vermicelli (bun) was extremely cold. The staff was nice, but I think they need to be a bit more trained when it comes to bringing out your food. My personal experience is... you don't carry and hold the bowls at the rim of the bowl when serving customers. Unfortunately they were doing that all afternoon. As for authentic- the bun we ordered... that beef and its seasoning goes to a rice dish, not bun. And they serve pad Thai? Pad Thai is a Thai dish if I'm correct. read more

We come here fairly often. Great pad tai and pho. The service is usually pretty attentive, they come by to fill waters and check on you frequently. Love the bubble tea. The only not so great thing is how small it is. There's not a lot of seating so there is always a wait (shows how popular it is!) Even after a 30 minute wait you can still end up on two benches on a long table in between other people. Eating pho with chopsticks is hard enough for me, let alone when I'm bumping elbows with the guy on a date right next to me! And if you're seated on the end of the long table, you have everyone coming up and standing touching your back as they pay at the counter or pick up their take out. If you don't like strangers touching you or loud and crowded places, don't go to Pho Vietnam at a busy time. We put up with it because we love the food. It's also BYOB. read more
