Wow... I've given very few 1 stars, and it's even more surprising to me because given this was our favorite "go-to" Thai restaurant. Not sure if they were bought out or had a change in chef's but this food was the worst Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles I've ever had any time anywhere. I don't normally include pictures but have here. The Pad Thai is red. The chicken in the Pad Thai was overcooked as well. It was for my wife, she couldn't eat it because it tasted so bad. I said I'd eat it, and after two bites even I am tossing it out. This was take out, so as far as the service they were polite, friendly and courteous. Again it was take out so the ambiance was my living room. In a sad turn of events, we will need to find another Thai restaurant. 0 for 2 screams there is a problem here. Had the tom yum soup and it's good, with a perfect balance of sour and spicy. However, I can't recommend the shaken beef. The pieces were so small, overcooked and chewy, and had not much flavor, although the salad and peanut dressing that it came with were good. Last 3 times I've ordered the rice that comes with the order is half full. Prices keep going up and portions keep getting smaller. Also, $17-20 dollars for one meal and its comes with 2 ounces of protein so you're paying for some vegetables and half a container of rice. read more

Sorry this place is not for me , I know THAI food , this is not Pork Basil I usually order. This looks like Chinese pork dishes. Spring roll was ice cold inside so had to send them back. Unfortunately, I really tried to be a supporter of this location, but the noodles are always overcooked, the Paid Thai is not what it should be and that's how I judge a Thai food place at bare minimum that dish should be great. One time the summer roll had brown/rotten lettuce in it and the shrimp was fishy, it's never been green like the picture. It's very hit or miss... there's two items that are absolutely delicious so it's unfortunate that this place is so difficult when all you want to do is have lunch in the 30 minutes that you have for a break. They always have their credit card machine down. Their Apple Pay is not working, a lot of times they're closed when it's not posted. It's very unfortunate today they refused my payment method so I went to get another one and they gave my food away. They sold it to somebody else. I've never heard of a place doing that before, so if you want overcooked noodles to the point of a phlegm texture and you want rotten lettuce in your summer roll this is the place to go. If you want quality Thai the only place I can find that's good is in Ansonia it's called Bangkok room or Kay Thai Eatery jn Fairfield is pretty good. More of a 3.5 rating.....Craving Thai food and used Yelp to help us find Thai Delight. We ordered takeout with a few dishes to sample the menu a little more. Ordering by phone was easy and I was told it would be 25 minutes which it was. By the time we got there, we overheard them telling call in orders it would be an hour wait so they were busy and I suggest calling orders in early! As others have mentioned the restaurant is in a unique, slightly odd location but worth the stop. I would say we enjoyed 4 out of the 5 dishes we got so that is pretty good! The only miss was the sweet chili wings and from the photos you can tell they were dry and over fried. The Pad Thai and Drunken Noodle were good- I enjoyed the beef in the drunken noodle more than the pork in the Pad Thai which was slightly drier. Next time, I would opt for just beef in either of the noodle dishes. The drunken noodle was certainly spicy as they state and had great flavor. The Pad Thai was also good and had a good mix of authentic ingredients. The Hot Basil Beef entree was done well with a nice assortment of vegetables and a side of white rice (not shown in photos). It got my husband's seal of approval and he ate it all up! He enjoys spicy food and found the heat level to be just right. Often, he will complain spicy dishes are not spicy enough but he did not complain this time with the hot basil entree. Overall, a solid choice for takeout Thai food in the local area. We would definitely go back to sample more of the menu and repeat getting some of the entrees we ordered this evening again another time. read more

It used to be much better. I don't know if it was because it was a Monday night and they ran out of food from the weekend or its a Monday chef, but the rice was parboiled american rice, not jasmine. All the dishes with a sauce were watery. Almost every dish was supposed to be spicy and nothing was close. Not coming back. read more

One of the best restaurants in Newtown!! If you love Thai food you must check this place out. I've never had a bad meal here and I've eaten here a handful of times. The staff is super friendly always checking up on you which is always nice. I love getting the drunken noodles and Curry's here because they always have a great amount of heat to them. Restaurant is cute and cozy inside with a lot of customers calling in orders rather than dining in. I wish they would move closer to Main Street area in town so more people would know about them! We go by often enough as it is in an area I frequent. So, I am surprised to see that I have never left a review here before. The spice levels vary from 1-5, and boy, they are not kidding around, even with a level 4, I had to order two extra bowls of rice for my drunken noodles. I enjoy Thai cuisine and this one seems authentic enough. I only removed a star as the service various quite often. Sometimes they are really quick and get to you straight away, and then, there are days like these that took them at least 15 minutes to give us a menu and water. read more

I was delighted by the , authentic decor like a picture of King Bhumiphol and small placards advertising familiar Thai dishes both in English and Thai. The food did not disappoint. We started with fish cakes as an appetizer. They were like slightly thick silver dollars clearly made fresh and authentically fishy. My husband had pork fried rice and I branched out a bit. I had something called cashew nut 2 which consisted of cashew nuts, onions, mushrooms, celery bell peppers and pineapple chunks in chili paste. . Quite honestly I think I might've misordered as I sensed there was ketchup somewhere in the sauce. But this is on me, and I clearly liked it enough that I took my leftovers for lunch tomorrow. It's such a pain to leave a bad review for this place because I ordered regularly during the pandemic. Their salad and fresh rolls are delicious. But this time I found a dead fly in my food. This is disgusting especially when I expected to eat fresh and clean food in summer. I also noticed the roasted duck was not as fresh as before. So my mother has Incontinence and is elderly. which means she has trouble controling her bladder. We went into this place to ask nicely if we could use their restroom because of her medical condition. this Asian man says no we closed. Which is a lie. so we asked again. he became extremely rude and threatened to call the cops. so we left. We were willing to buy something in order to go but the man became enraged.
