So my biggest gripe here is actually the food. I'm not sure I can nail down exactly what I don't like about it, but it does feel pretty "greasy" vs other Thai joints. I realize that what I'm saying there is kind of strange given that Thai food is by its nature fairly greasy. Like I said, I don't get it myself lol. Anyways, the service was fine, I didn't have an issue with it. It was take away after all. Ambiance is good. I realize I can't give anything really definitive here... so I will just say it just didn't taste right. I've had Thai from hundreds of places, and this one definitely gets straight to the bottom for me. It's just an opinion here. So I'll just leave it at that. Sorry. 2 Stars at most. read more

I wish I could give it 4.5 stars, but I went with 4. The location in monroe is a good one. The atmosphere could use an upgrade. It is a simple, small restaurant that with some renovations could be beautiful. The pros... the food and value! The portion sizes are plentiful. The flavor is incredible. The massaman curry with shrimp was one of the best I have ever had. They have Boba (their version of boba) which made my kids happy. The prices are fair. 4 of us ate well (two apps and each a meal, and 2 boba drinks) for $90 + tip. It is a really great addition to a small town and I can't wait to return! FINALLY it has happened to me, I'm so Happy! I have been on the hunt for a good Thai place close by to us for awhile now. Since moving a few years ago I have tried a few places and they have all not been places I would return to..... but saw this place today and decided to give them a try for lunch (takeout). SCORE and Double SCORE less than a 15min drive! We got three different dishes to try- Pad See Aw with duck (so happy they offer duck!), Drunken Noodle with Beef, and Pad Thai with pork. All were delicious, with great flavor, tons of different fresh vegetables, and the proteins in each dish plentiful. Drunken noodle was probably my favorite- spicy but not so much so, perfect. Excited we finally found a winner for Thai food locally and I can say we will be regulars, wanting to try more of the menu! read more

Seems like it's famiky run and they are very pleasant and polite The Pho Ga Is more of a chicken soup, not really a rich broth w deep flavor. It's very salty and my rice noodles were kinda thick and I'm not used to that. If I lived in town I'd go, but I wouldn't travel for it. read more

Okay so we just moved to Monroe from California a few months ago. One of the big concerns I had before making this big move was not having good Asian food nearby. I'm Chinese/Cambodian and my husband is white. I love to eat Asian food. We tried this place yesterday for take out and it was probably the busiest day ever because I ordered online but still to wait almost an hour for our food. The food was worth the wait. Best Thai food I've had in CT so far. I liked it so much that we ordered takeout again the next day (good thing we didn't have to wait too long the next day). I've tried their papaya salad, garlic chicken, chicken pho, beef pho, beef jerky, pad Thai, and ginger chicken. Their pad Thai was just okay but everything else was delicious. Please support this business! Everyone that works there is so sweet and the food is delicious. Whenever I feel sick or just want something comforting, the first thing I want is the thom kah gai soup from here. Along with that, the crispy tofu is excellent! In Monroe for the next 3 weeks and had to try this new spot! It did not disappoint! We got takeout - veggie curry puffs and edamame (we ordered a side of hot oil to toss in) as an app. The curry puffs are unique and delish, probably a little better fresh out of the fryer bc they'd be crispier but the flavor was great. We both got the hangover pho and holy moly... yum. The shrimp was perfect (not usually the case in noodle soups). And the broth comes with ground pork and chopped peanuts. We ordered it spicy - do NOT order extra spicy unless you are 100% you can handle it. We are regular pho/ramen and Thai eaters that order everything spicy and we are not sure we would even order the extra. It was so. freaking. good. We will be back to try the rest of the menu over the next few weeks (likely trying dining in!). read more

Overall extremely good. My only complaint would be the spiciness can be very inconsistent. Sometimes things can be way too spicy or not spicy enough when ordered at the same spice level. That's not enough to knock off a star, however I would like if this was looked into. read more

Great food is back!! Had loved the original Tai Berry restaurant at this local, then was somewhat disappointed in consequent tai venues there. Since reimagined as Tai Mi Noodle, great tai flavors and spice have returned there thanks to the current owner and cooks. On multiple visits there food has consistently had great flavor, and when requested, heat. Tonight our tai stirfry, curry, and drunken noodles were outstanding. Went here with family after a bike ride nearby. What a great gem of a restaurant! Got a few appetizers then the Tamarind Duck, extra spicy Drunken Noodles and Beef Pho for the kids who can't eat spices yet to share. The food was incredible (several notches above our town's Thai restaurant if I had to be honest)! The Tamarind Duck was so flavorful without it being overly sweet - the duck skin was perfectly crispy and the meat tender. They used fresh-made noodles for their Drunken Noodles (not dried ones) the jiggly texture of the glistening rice noodles were just perfect! Bonus points for fresh jumbo shrimp that snapped with each bite. Beef pho was also so flavorful - comfort food very well done. The kids ate so much - but were still asking if they could go back for dinner (sadly we had other plans) The owner was so nice - was beaming with excitement for his new restaurant. Very delicious and well prepared Thai take out! The pineapple rice with shrimp was a great sized portion that my husband and I split and still had leftovers. Very fresh, and perfectly seasoned. We had the spring rolls for an appetizer and they were also delicious. The bubble tea was a little too frozen for my liking and that's the only slightly negative thing for me. I was so excited that a Thai place opened up near me, and I've tried various items from this restaurant. The flavors are all there but unfortunately, the meat is always overcooked. I can't explain it it's like so dry that it's disintegrating. The pad Thai is bad, the drunken noodles are below average and the spicy basil fried rice was absolutely tasteless. I was there with a friend on weekday evening when the owner was there. we found the food delicious, fresh and very well done. He and his son were very attentive and friendly. It was a very nice evening. I went back a few weeks later for an early dinner. Only the son was there. Since I enjoyed my last meal there, I ordered the same thing. The soup was still good but the curry with duck was terrible. The curry was like soup and lacking in those wonder complex flavors of Thai food. the duck was hard, dry and in-eatable. It looks like it had been sitting under the heat lamp for the last 24 hours. I called the son over (his attentiveness had gone from a 10 to a 1). I showed him my problem with the duck and curry and asked him to tell the chef. He said nothing and walked away. when I left I was charged full price for everything. needless to say I found them very inconsistent. I'm not going back. read more
