FINALLY it has happened to me, I'm so Happy! I have been on the hunt for a good Thai place close by to us for awhile now. Since moving a few years ago I have tried a few places and they have all not been places I would return to..... but saw this place today and decided to give them a try for lunch (takeout). SCORE and Double SCORE less than a 15min drive! We got three different dishes to try- Pad See Aw with duck (so happy they offer duck!), Drunken Noodle with Beef, and Pad Thai with pork. All were delicious, with great flavor, tons of different fresh vegetables, and the proteins in each dish plentiful. Drunken noodle was probably my favorite- spicy but not so much so, perfect. Excited we finally found a winner for Thai food locally and I can say we will be regulars, wanting to try more of the menu!

Absolute deliciousness in every dish. I've tried many of their dishes, including the drunken noodle w shrimp, garlic chicken, fried dumplings, thai tea and more. Each has its own unique flavor, bursting with spices. Offerings are colorful dishes that are large portions and satisfying.

Okay so we just moved to Monroe from California a few months ago. One of the big concerns I had before making this big move was not having good Asian food nearby. I'm Chinese/Cambodian and my husband is white. I love to eat Asian food. We tried this place yesterday for take out and it was probably the busiest day ever because I ordered online but still to wait almost an hour for our food. The food was worth the wait. Best Thai food I've had in CT so far. I liked it so much that we ordered takeout again the next day (good thing we didn't have to wait too long the next day). I've tried their papaya salad, garlic chicken, chicken pho, beef pho, beef jerky, pad Thai, and ginger chicken. Their pad Thai was just okay but everything else was delicious. Excited to have found our go to Thai place.

Did a pick up order for Pad see ew. Service was great. This dish was delicious. I added some chili oil and it was perfect. Not too spicy. I would go here again for take out.

Boat noodles has excellent homemade broth and i believe not many thai place sell this dish. Strong aroma from the broth, chewy noodles if you can the the heat it's very addicting. I ended up ordering non spicy and have chilies on the side. The pork is little try. Meatball was good and bouncy. Love this very much overall. Crispy pork belly has very nice dipping sauce comes with it, i can tase the lime and little sweet and sour perfect to pair with the poke belly. Tapioca ball is ok something new to try, it's sweet dish kinda like Chinese mochi balls Pineapple fried rice smells very good the combination of spices, very aromatic Drunken noodles is yummy, the duck meat tend to be dry (beef one is better ) great deal when coming for lunch. Appetizers are small portions, which is great you get to taste little of everything. Fried wonton and fish cake is good, both are not Strong in seasoning but has a perfect dipping sauces. Mango sticky rice is excellent, sticky rice is not very sticky type, i guess it's cooked with pandan leaves, salty coconut sauce not too sweet , I'll get one order by myself next time. They'll only sell it when the mango is good so grab it when u can. Would definitely explore more food next time. Very nice boss lady!

We drove a long distance here and arrived at 8:45, only to then be told we couldn't be seated because the kitchen was already closed. We pointed out the person who answered the phone said the kitchen closed at 9:15. The person who answered said she misunderstood and thought we were asking about take out. However, when we then asked if we could take out (at 8:45), we were again told it was impossible since the kitchen was already closed. So how does the explanation that she thought we meant take out even make sense? Of course, we had wasted a lot of time driving there and were then stuck scrambling for other nearby options at that hour. This alone would be a reason for never coming back.

When stopping in for pickup, the smaller sized dining room was nearly full...and for good reason. We ordered crab rangoon, papaya salad, larb, beef pad see u, and chicken pad thai. The portions were generous and we'll have food for another meal. The pad thai and pad see u were both very tasty and noodles were cooked perfectly. The crab rangoon was unlike any I've ever had because there was real crab meat in it, not the imitation "krab" like at many other asian restaurants. The papaya salad and larb were clearly fresh, but just lacked a little something. At other Thai restaurants they seemed to be a little more flavorful. Perhaps a little more dressing next time. If that is their standard preparation, then next time I'd request a little more or try something else. It won't stop me from coming back and trying it again. Strongly recommend.

One got the sense that the other diners that evening felt much the same way. It was a weeknight, and with a lower customer load than might be the case on a Friday or weekend, she had ample time to spend with each party, regaling us all with fun conversation. It goes without saying that the company in one's own party makes a whale of a difference, and in that regards I could not have asked for better. This is to take nothing away from the food, which was absolutely delicious, flavorful and mercifully not too spicy - our aging gastrointestinal systems are sadly just not up for the violent torment from a chilli assault like when we were younger, and felt invincible. The mango rice dessert - enough for two to split - was sublime. And the town of Naugy itself - for both of us an unknown quantity til that evening despite having whizzed past it a ton on Route 8, hammering down the famous Naugahyde River Valley - is intriguing. Naugatuck offers gorgeous and fascinating architecture from the last two centuries at least, evidence of thriving mill-driven industry in years past, very easy access from the highway, and lots of close on-street parking, at least on a Thursday evening. BYOB if you are that way inclined, as they don't have a liquor license. Will we be back to Chiangmai Thai? Abso-frikkin-lutely. I've you've already been, then go back again, and soon. If you haven't had the pleasure, get moving now and thank me later.
