My mom and I visited for lunch on a Saturday and had a great meal! Nice menu with so many different options, most of which is homemade. The owner is so sweet and makes sure you're well taken care of while also running the kitchen. I thought it was cool that they had fresh coconut water available, as you don't see that too often around here! The food was tasty, and we definitely enjoyed the paradise Rama and garlic chicken. Tucked in the corner with limited parking you find Kay Thai Eatery. It has seating for about 25 customers, but it looks like pick up / take out is how most people get their food. It was our first time, and we were looking forward to some good Thai food. I assume Kay was in the kitchen, and she was preparing orders back to back. The food did not come out at the same time, but this was understandable with one cook. I loved the fact that you can choose your spiciness and mild hot is not hot at all. So next time we can take it up a notch or two. The Pad Mama Tom Yum was great. I had the seafood as protein and the only downside was the little pieces of shell. I had to chew carefully, just in case. Overall a great menu, and tasty food. read more

The BEST Thai food I've had. It's my favorite type of food outside of Caribbean food. I tried this due to other reviews and it did not disappoint. We did take out, it was mostly packaged well but something did start to leak at some point. The service was good and quick (not too quick as in fast food but quick enough). The dining area was small and quaint-- we definitely want to return to dine in one day. We ordered green Thai curry, masssaman curry, drunken noodles, papaya salad, and crab rangoon. Elite level Thai food here. We ordered a bunch of stuff to try it out. The chicken pad Thai was among the best I've ever had - sweet, salty and spicy all in one. Same with the crispy garlic chicken, which had real crunch and strong flavor. The potstickers were very good. The only thing I might skip next time is the chicken satay - it's the only thing that wasn't a showstopper. All in all, an excellent takeout meal. read more

This beautiful oasis transported my fiancé and I to Thailand. We have been meaning to try this Thai restaurant for a few years and finally was able to. The waitress was so sweet and hospitable. Oh boy were we prepared to be wow'd! We noticed signs on the table showcasing they offer FRESH young coconuts. We could not resist! It was chilled and so refreshing and satisfied our thirst. The coconut water was unlike any other coconut water I've tasted not even boxed coconut water which I know is not true coconut water, but close enough. I had a feeling she would confirm they were sourced from Thailand. We decided to order papaya salad (Must have at every Thai restaurant) w/prawns, Spicy eggplant w/beef, Khao Soi w/beef, and HOMEMEAD COCONUT ICE CREAM! The papaya salad was the best we've had! It was so delicious the juice from it was drinkable. We dont usually include the papya salad with prawns but decided to give it a try based on the waitress suggestion. The Spicy eggplant with beef was so delicious and had a nice sauce and was accompanied with rice. The Khao Soi was unlike any dish we've had at any Thai restaurant. It had a sweet, sour, and umami flavor with hard noodles and cooked in this curry sauce. (Im salivating thinking about it). We shared our dishes and were very full. We noticed they had a dessert we wanted to try but we knew there was no room and planned to return. The waitress asked if we wanted to try the coconut ice cream and we shared it and OMG it was out of this world delicious. It was so light, fresh, the bites of coconut melted in your mouth. It is better than ANY store brought coconut ice cream. Im 100% sure they use the coconut meat and water to make their homemade coconut ice cream. This is our new favorite Thai restaurant! One of the best Thai places in Fairfield County. Came here recently with my husband, both of us ordered curry. Both curries were fantastic. And I mean So. Good. We love Ruuthai in Bridgeport but wanted to give this place a try, and now we're going to have trouble choosing between them. Ruuthai wins all sorts of accolades in the area, so that's a compliment to Kay Thai. The owner came and chatted with us after we finished our meals. She's lovely and so passionate about the food.
