Located across from Danbury mall. People at my job have been ordering from here for weeks. It smelled and looked great, so I decided to order with them. I wasn't disappointed. You can order in person, or online and pickup like I did. Order was ready when promised. When you order takeout, they give you an insulated food bag to keep your order warm as long as possible. The food is great. There is a wide variety of corn dogs, wings, soup dumpling, etc. I got the wings, beef fried rice, and corn dogs. I messed up with my corn dog order. I ordered the mozzarella dog which I assumed had a hot dog in it. I was wrong. You have to order the half mozzarella and half hot dog for that. Lesson learned. The breading was tasty and had lots of flavor. The wings are very crispy and tender. Lots of flavor and looks good for presentation in the box. The beef fried rice was very good. Lots of beef in it, not just mostly rice. I will definitely order from here again. read more

First time here. Wasn't busy inside but take out was busy. Cute place and friendly staff. Got a pork and rice dish and it was pretty good. They have a server robot. Kind of made me feel as if I was in Korea. I enjoyed it. I'll have to go back and try other dishes. read more

Finally tried Papa Panda, and this review is based on takeout. Food was ready in 20 minutes after placing an online order, and everything was packaged well. The braised pork rice bowl was good; small pieces of cut-up pork belly were tasty, mixed with mustard greens brightened the dish. However, the ratio of meat vs rice is disappointing; there was a lot of rice, not enough meat. Miso ramen was just okay. Very strong miso taste vs the pork broth. I wasn't a fan, but the chashu pork and shoyu soft-boiled egg were perfect. It's not the spicy miso ramen that I'm used to. But I'm willing to try the tonkotsu and see if it has that milky, rich, intense pork broth that I'm looking for and update the review. read more

We were pretty excited to try this new place near Danbury Mall. It is located right next to the Cold Stone ice cream place. We were in the mood for Korean/Japanese and didn't want to drive to the nearest Bonchon. Looking at their menu, they had pretty much what we were looking for, so we ordered pork dumplings, udon ramen tonkatsu, gochujang KFc wings and some popcorn chicken as well. By the way, this is the kind of place where you order first then sit down with a table number and they bring it to you. The food came out lightning fast and it was pretty good all around. Dumplings and popcorn chicken were decent but the KFC with gochujang sauce and ramen broth were great. Messy chicken eatin' but so good. The pork in the ramen was okay but the broth and noodles were very flavorful and there was plenty of it. Didn't really care for the bamboo shoots but they were easily pushed aside. Place looked clean and well-lit and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The mango boba tea I got was good too! So glad to have this place around the mall. Sorry, mall dining options, we are very likely to skip you and drive across the street in future shopping outings. read more

If 1/2 stars were available this spot would be 3 1/2 stars based on delivery. I ordered a few appetizers the cheese egg rolls and scallion pancakes. The scallion pancakes were nice and greasy as they should be my guilty pleasure. I was confused by the cheese eggrolls? I expected them to be the egg roll version of a mozzarella stick. There was not alot of cheese and there was something else in it. Our dishes were both beef dishes - beef ramen and beef fried rice. We found both dishes to be lacking enough beef for the price. Both of our dishes did come warm / hot even though the delivery was a bit of a distance. The noodles and fried rice were both good. Im looking forward to trying tPaPa Panda's dumplings when I go visit their actual location. read more

Better than most Asian cuisine restaurants but thats just because I'm a spoiled new haven woman and danbury food never fails to disappoint me. 3 stars for the clean and cozy environment and really cool robot server. But the prices are awful. $10 for 6 tiny wings with hardly any flavor and the stir fried ramen is no different than a lo mein with a tall price of $17. After driving home from the holidays, my boyfriend and I decided to stop in Danbury to try some ramen. Food: Tbh I chose this place since Google ratings showed 4.8 (I was expecting something to be good). First, the tonkotsu, this dish was very bland, the broth was watery, no creaminess/richness like a typical tonkotsu. We described it as like watery flavored pork broth, it was flat and just was not good. We thought it was interesting they put ginger as a topping (the pink strands) it truly overpowered the dish when you got a bite of it. The pork was very very dry and super thick as well. All around the ramen was a hot mess. Then the pork buns, really interesting choices of cilantro, cucumber, peanuts, and the pork it was very off-putting when you took a bite. I'm not sure why, the flavor profile was not it - the cucumber was also very soggy/slimy. Service: We only ordered at the front and then a cook brought us our food, after we finished they do have one of those robots that deliver your meal to the table. Ambiance: It was cute on the inside with a modern Japanese flare. However, this place seemed more like a to-go place rather than dining in (which is what we did). Overall the ramen we decided to give it a 1/5 because it simply was not tonkotsu and the flavor profiles were just bad. I'd suggest trying a different ramen place in this area! read more

Wonderful atmosphere, would have never known the place was a game stop before. Very clean and attentive servers. This is a walk up ordering and then you seat yourself and they bring out your food. We did a tasting of quite a few items seeing it was our first time. Our drinks came first and mine showed up as a small and i had forgone my receipt to save paper but had asked for a large drink so my partner took it up and said we just wanted to make sure that i didn't pay for a large and another lady behind the counter said it's ok and just made the large without even looking which to me was great customer service! This is the type of service that has me going back to a place even before tasting anything. The first item to arrive food wise was the mozzarella dog, great flavor only issue was in the center core the cheese was still cold. The outside piping hot but that center left me wanting the gooey stringy cheese. Then the crab rangoons, very good normal crab cream cheese flavor but the wonton wrapper was thinner than usual which made the taste and palette feel cleaner. Then the pork buns which were on point in flavor, texture and warmth. Then the spicy miso ramen and for me I'm more of a Pho fan so i just had some noodles which were perfectly toothy and the soy soaked egg had perfect yolk umami. If you like ramen I'm sure this would be for you. Then the soup dumplings which were perfectly cooked and tasted amazing, i would get multiple orders just for myself! The Korean fried chicken wings with soy garlic sauce were last to arrive and they were molten hot and crispy. The perfect end to a Korean exploration lunch! We will definitely be back! read more

I've eaten here 3 times so far. I have had the pork belly bao, it was very good and flavorful. I've had the dumplings which are homemade, it was good but could improve. Today I am having the braised beef sou. So far the beef is seasoned very well and very tender. The broth is very light and flavorful. I'm really enjoying the this soup. They also make very good bubble tea. You need to give this place a try. The service great and the place is beautifully decorated. I really like this place better than the one in the Danbury fair mall. The one in the mall (the soup) gives me an upset stomach. This place doesn't. They must use fresh ingredients here. When I say fresh I mean the ingredients aren't pre packaged (premix). Example: hamburger helper just add your meat. read more

This Asian fusion spot is seriously one of the best meals I've had in a while. Everything tastes so fresh--you can tell they actually care about what they're putting out. Nothing feels rushed or thrown together, it's just consistently really, really good. The flavors hit without being too much, everything's balanced, and honestly every dish made me want to come back and try more. Even the presentation is on point, which just makes the whole experience better. And the staff? Super nice, polite, and genuinely attentive without being overbearing. I walked in and this place is new. Everything is clean and the table set up is nice. The owners of this restaurant are from New York do I expected the best. I ordered 2 spring rolls, pork soup dumplings and a ramen soup with braised beef. All I can say is BRAVO!!!! Their food competes with anything I've had in Chinatown in New York City. The service was great!!!! The lady that took my order and brought my food was extremely nice. A++++++++++!!!!!!!!! If I could give them 10 stars I would. We've been here a few times recently and honestly can't stop coming back. The food is so good that every visit we're excited to try something new, and everything we've ordered has been delicious. You can really tell they put care into what they make. The service deserves a special mention -- everyone is incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely goes out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. Our food always comes out quickly, which is a huge plus when dining with family, and the place is always very clean. My daughter absolutely loves their noodles, which alone keeps this spot in our regular rotation. I've now gone here twice and the food is really good. We've tried the ramen, corn dogs and Korean fried chicken, a couple of apps and the boba tea. I really like the taro tea and the soy garlic kfc wings are SO good. The only disappointment is that twice I've ordered the potato mozzarella dog and they've been out of potato both times. I've really been craving one, so I hope that next time they do have the potato. My baby really likes being served by the robot haha. read more

This place is really cool. We tried it out on a whim, and it paid off. I was glad to see that they have Korean food, which is pretty hard to find around here. I shared a mozzarella Korean corn dog with my brother and it was scrumptious. The dough wasn't sweet and the cheese was gooey and cooked through. We got various dumplings (some of which came out in a steamer) which all tasted good, and the fried rice. It comes with bean sprouts, which is yummy. The prices are not exceptional, but the restaurant economy has been pretty awful for a while now, so I've just accepted that I'll pay a lot. The ordering kiosks were down when we got there, but they'll likely be a good option for the antisocial crowd when they're up. As it stands, the cashier was good at their job. Noteworthily, there is a little robot who brings out some of the food. I would die for this robot. It can be a little cumbersome, but the charm makes up for it. Plus, the food comes out fast. The restaurant was nice and clean, and had a decent amount of space without feeling crowded. The location, while convenient, is not the best looking, but the place manages to feel cozy. Ultimately, I could not ask for anything more for this type of restaurant. Will it be the greatest experience of your life? No. Will it brighten your day? It did for me. read more
