Food (5/5): - Ordered the summer rolls and the pho tai - Enjoyed both! Portions were huge Service (4.5/5): - Mostly a self service type of place but they were kind and friendly! They didn't really stop by our table too often but they did give us water refills at some point Ambiance (5/5): - This is just to ur typical casual mom and pop chain. Nothing too fancy or intimate

One of the few good Vietnamese dining options in Wappinger Falls! We got the vegetarian egg rolls, Beef pho, and Chicken Pho. The vegetarian egg rolls were nice and crispy, but overall pretty bland without the side sauce. The Chicken Pho was fresh and I really appreciated the large portion but also felt it was slightly bland. The restaurant is well decorated with a large Christmas tree in the front. The seating area is very spacious and each table has privacy curtains, too. The staff was very friendly and very patient as we were the last ones out. They also helped us properly pack leftovers so they wouldn't spill. Overall, 4.5 for service and ambiance, 3.5 for food

Came here for a quick lunch and had a wonderful experience. Super homey and cozy vibes, fast and friendly service, and delicious affordable food. I got the pho tai which had plenty of meat and noodles--even with my big appetite I couldn't finish the whole bowl! Convenient location as well with plenty of parking.

The place is hands down the best pho around! I live in Middletown and have to drive 45mins to eat this but it is so worth it! The portions are huge and the flavors are on point! The restaurant is located in a strip mall and the inside is clean and orderly. There's the normal sriracha, hoisin sauce and also a special hot sauce similar to sambal (homemade I think). The owner (I think) is cool and super friendly and Viet for sure. You just know, cause he can pronounce the names of the dishes properly in Vietnamese and not like us Americans haha. I usually get the special pho and the broth is out of the world. It so flavorful and has so much depth. The vermicelli are also amazing (I don't usually order it but love to steal a bite from my friends). Definitely recommend it! Best pho around!

Stopped in early afternoon for some quick takeout that happened hang out and chat with the staff. Very friendly folks who took a quick break from their lunch to help me out. I did not getting a bahn me, spring rolls, Vietnamese iced coffee and some shrimp chips. They threw in a couple extra for me which I thought was very cool. The ambiance's super elegant and a quiet atmosphere. Rather soothing if I may say so. Definitely feels very comfortable in here. Even the boots have little privacy curtains if you need it.

After our hike at Breakneck Ridge trail, we stopped by for lunch. Delicious foods! Very authentic. The restaurant is clean, and the customer service is great. We love it here.

Came here for lunch with my daughter & her friend. My daughter is new to Vietnamese food. She fell in love with the pho with one of their home made sauces in it (hoisin). Long, he helped us with all the different dishes and explained each one to us that my daughter quizzed him about. Like the other reviewers stated, it's small and intimate. Very clean and the staff are amazingly sweet. They did open up their second location and my daughter plans on going there with her coworkers. The food is definitely enough for two meals. Not over priced either. We curry chicken was absolutely amazing. Not over spiced. The seafood rice also fantastic. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Delicious every time we visit. Owner stopped by our table and informed us he is opening a smaller, second restaurant by Vassar college on Lagrange and Raymond ave tomorrow and invited us. I hope the new location offers my favorites and retains the quiet, romantic ambiance. We're having the vermicelli and xiu mai, special beef noodle soup with boba tea

Prepared pho in the lovely large bowl it was delivered in

Got delivery and would like to recommend this place. Delivery was as promised and food was hot and delish! I ordered fish pho and it was full of large shrimp with plenty of rice noodles, bean sprouts and fresh basil. The tub of broth was generous and full of flavor. It could have been shared, but being the person that I am, I ate it all. Summer roll shrimp appetizer contained three rolls with a lovely dipping sauce. These I shared. Great find!

This is the real deal! When we lived in Hong Kong, we ate Vietnamese at least weekly. Our boys relocated from HK when they were 2, 4 & 7. When we arrived, I could barely contain my excitement, while our younger boys - now 13 & 15 - looked at me oddly. My eldest wasn't with us. When the pho arrived, my youngest smelled it and said, "I remember this! We haven't had this in a long time." When my middle one tasted it, he said, "Holy Vietnam!" Unlike in Hong Kong, the portions are ginormous. I usually ordered two Vietnamese chicken salads for myself in HK, but today, I couldn't finish the one I ordered. Lots of fresh, crunchy vegetables. Come hungry. We'll definitely be back!

This was a really disappointing meal... the shrimp wasn't fully cooked, the summer rolls were wet, and the vermicelli was bland.

I particularly enjoyed the Vassar noodle bowl, which featured chewy noodles in a coconut milk curry sauce (allegedly Malaysian, more Malaysian "inspired") with BBQ pulled pork on top!! I would never have thought to combine these two ingredients, but they work beautifully together. It's a very warm and comforting dish, and the mint, cilantro, and radish garnish helps provide a bit of contrast. I liked the sour cream drizzle on top, too. I feel like this dish could really be fantastic if they adjusted the thickness and amount of curry sauce (the noodles are swimming in it like a soup) and provided more herbs and radishes on top. It could also benefit from a crispy topping to provide textural contrast. I've had other things from here that I've liked, but that weren't anything special. Like the Malaysian curry, their chicken tikka masala sauce also has a very runny texture, instead of the thicker richer sauces I've had elsewhere. And their bao buns are honestly not worth buying, since they have no hoisin sauce or creamy aioli/slaw element that binds together the rather dry meat, pickle slices, and scallions in each bun. They seem to exclusively be a grab and go kind of place, which makes sense to me as it's in a college town. Inside it's small and rather bleak, without any kind of decoration and not much seating. They take a pretty long time to prepare orders too, so plan ahead in case you're in a hurry.

I stopped…read moreby for lunch with my top-tier chum, a native of the Kingdom of Sussex who has been here before and has spoken highly of it. I don't know why I was surprised to discover this was in a strip mall, but that's on me. A nice one, at least. The place was relatively busy but we were able to secure a table easily with zero wait time. Pleasant vibes inside. I don't mean this as an insult at all but I was expecting more ethnic decor in line with the restaurant's menu - instead, it's pretty Americanized and feels like a classic suburban NJ establishment. I liked the painted brick on the lefthand side that has Blue Spice's logo/sign on it; spiffy. The bathroom was also a high point, which is...not something I say often. It was very clean and smelled nice, and I liked the dark cruise-ship lighting vibe. We decided to split the scallion pancake app, which was an excellent decision. I work in the city and regularly have this item from a place in Chinatown, and I honestly thought this was better, mostly because it was thicker/denser than what I'm used to. Super tasty and would get that again in a heartbeat. Giant portion as well - we split the pancake, which was roughly the size of a small pizza. My chum had leftovers there, I did not; so it goes with us. I've had a few mediocre chicken katsu experiences of late, so this seemed like a chance for redemption. I ordered the Akiko Curry entree, which was their spin on chicken katsu curry. Honestly wasn't my favorite. Again, a HUGE portion here and was only able to finish about 60% of it despite having a pretty legit appetite coming in. And the presentation value is excellent as well, as far as that goes. This could easily just be a personal palate preference, but I wasn't crazy about the curry itself (which had a weird tang to it) and didn't resemble the standard curry I'm used to with this dish. Also, as you can see from the attached, the curry is basically on the side of the dish, separated from the chicken and rice. Because of that, the chicken is on the dry side, which is my primary beef (pun?) with the item to begin with. So a miss for me, but I could see why other people would like this (and apparently do). The service was excellent, full stop. Our waitress was very nice and personable; she had strong command of the menu and you could see her consistently engaging with other patrons throughout our meal as well. She took several group photos so this is apparently a Kingdom of Sussex hot spot for that, which I wouldn't have guessed. She was so good both of us remarked on it multiple times during the meal, which is a rarity. But a great example of hospitality markedly improving an experience and making what was already an overall positive situation that much better. Huge marks there. Would definitely come back but would explore other parts of the menu once I feasted on the scallion pancake.

But recently last night they did not meet the mark. We ordered our food with no issues over the phone. We went and picked up our order and that was a breeze. Once we got home and started opening everything up and enjoying our food, we ended up not really enjoy enjoying it and through quite a bit out. I opted for the sweet-and-sour chicken with pork fried rice and an egg roll. I also got the sautéed string beans and a small vegetable lo mein. My vegetable lo mein was actually pretty good no complaints there. My sweet-and-sour chicken was fine as well. It was a little more doughy than I generally like, but it was fine. The pork fried rice that it comes with was dry absolutely dry. Some of the pieces were even kind of curled up because of how dry it was and or hard. I didn't really eat it. The egg roll it came with was actually not too bad. It had a spice flavoring. Very minimal kind of like cinnamon. I've had it before at other locations where I've had that taste. I don't mind it. The string beans were pretty good and that's where everything else became downhill. My aunt got chicken ciao with Angel hair and she stated that the chicken was like gristle. My uncle got sweet-and-sour shrimp and it was full of the batter. His shrimp fried rice also was not the best. It was as if they fried up some rice and then just added some sautéed shrimp to it. In the end, they threw away just about everything except for the string beans the container of white rice and the leftover lo mein. They kept saying that it's never like this and they wonder if there's a new ownership or anything of that nature that we're not aware of because the quality has definitely gone down. They said multiple times that they're probably gonna just have to find a new Chinese restaurant because this one just isn't hitting the mark now.
