Our second time here was just as good as the first. We tried different dishes this time and they were still delicious. Service was still good. We will probably make it back there again.

This is our second time here, this gives me one of my favorite dishes sashimi. I ordered miso soup and the sashimi samples: it consisted of 8 pieces of sashimi.. I received my soup and sashimi with Saigon. Pickled ginger and wasabi. . All good. Unfortunately not everyone like this type of cuisine. We also had a complimentary fried pieces of fried chicken. It goes with the mustard. It was all good. Just my taste. Definitely will come here again

Great ramen place, so happy we got to finally try it. Customer service was exquisite, got assistance promptly after arriving and the waitress was patient with us trying to decide on what to order. The place was calm, great music was playing so my husband and I enjoyed it very much. The Kara-age chicken was crispy and flavorful for the appetizer. We got the homemade pork broth with ramen for our son, he enjoyed the noodles and the broth. (We were happy he ate since he's a picky eater). The pork belly in the Sesame Miso Tonkotsu was tasty and tender, my favorite part of the plate. The Kombu Chicken made my husband say this is his new favorite ramen place. I recommend this place if you appreciate great customer service and amazing food.

A new Japanese restaurant in town. Pretty good ramen and sushi. The ramen was really tasty, full of flavors, the best ramen I have ever had. The sushi was fresh, price was good. The service was good. Love the place, Definitely will be back

We were eager to try this place and went in the Saturday after opening with modest expectations considering it had just opened. First, we entered what was I guess the back of the restaurant (by the sushi counter right after you enter the mall) and there was some confusion if we needed to go up front to be seated. Finally, someone did notice us and seat us. The menu has a nice variety of Ramen, sushi, and hot and cold appetizers as well as drinks. Our drink orders were taken fairly quickly but drinks took a little time to come out. When we ordered, unfortunately, the appetizer we wanted was unavailable at which point our waitress told us several other menu items that were also unavailable after we tried to order our 2nd choice, which included ALL of the kitchen, entrées (which we were not ordering anyway) along with a few other appetizers. Perhaps that should've been mentioned earlier. They have no lunch specials. We had the pepper tuna tataki appetizer, which was more pepper flavor than tuna flavor. The sauce on the plate did nothing to flavor the fish. I ordered the Sushi for Me entrée, my son ordered 2 rolls, and my husband ordered ramen. Since we were seated near the sushi counter, we could see that our sushi was prepared and left sitting for a bit before it came to our table. The sushi was disappointing. Although it was beautifully prepared, the fish was flavorless. We are big fans of sushi and this missed the mark, especially with the rice not being sticky. The toppings on the nigiri were a nice touch. The tuna roll was nothing special, and I had to remind the waitress that my entrée came with soup, which she brought after the entrée, at which point I didn't really want it anymore. We had to eat slowly because my husband's ramen was MIA despite seeing people who came in after us getting served and his ramen came about 12 minutes later, though with apologies for the delay. He said the Ramen was not bad and the broth was flavorful enough. Overall, service was spotty and inconsistent, and the food was ok. We went in with low expectations understanding that this is a mall food court so although we gave it a try during opening week, we would not return. Hopefully the kitchen becomes better stocked and service improves.

Being that place just opened up this week, take with a grain of salt, on the first impression. For service they need to get more organized since I had get there attention to get seated, plus they really should assign people to tables, since I had one person take my order, than other asked me a few minutes afterwards if I needed to place a order, then another asking me if wanted drinks, when I already placed them, kind of disappointed they have fruit teas on there menu, but said they don't have yet. I will say despite the all over the place service, they were very nice and happy to serve. For the ambiance it's a way step over the ugly ass night club feel it had when it was pancake factory, it's more open and inviting. For the food, both the super crazy and spicy shrimp avocado rolls were delicious and fresh, plus very fairly priced too. For the ramen aka tonkotsu it was every I expected, spicy, savory, full body flavor richness, all the toppings were amazing and the char pork on top was melt in your mouth tender, but they for the ramen egg, they asked me if I wanted, so I was disappointed since a runny ramen egg would been awesome. Still overall the food, Is on point for there first week open. Just need to fine tune the staffing. Also this place has a to- go order counter, next to the auntie Annie's pretzels stand so if you're not into eating in, you can take home instead. Also I give them credit offering a 30% whole discount for there first week open, never seen a place try hard get that first impression fast. Definitely worth a trip.

Do stop by this Ramen restaurant after or before shopping until you drop. As a vegetarian I often struggle with picking items that I feel will be nutritious and delicious. I ordered garden salad with ginger dressing . The lettuce was very very crispy and the dressing was good. I also ordered miso soup, and vegan gyoza. I loved the gyoza. The final item was vegan buns( as if those pork buns can ever be replaced by a piece of grilled spicy tofu. For tofu lovers it could work, but as a former bacon and pork connoisseur, it was tasty but ....if you know you know. Pork is un replaceable as a former meat eater and current vegetarian. This place is comfortable, the service is great and the food is good. So do stop by and enjoy!!!

The new best kept ramen secret in the area. This place is in the mall-yes weird as hell, but it's the best tongkatsu ramen around! Go.

Very disappointed…read more Salted Cucumber appetizer average at best. Lacking flavor. Sushi rolls sampled were below average. Fried octopus ball were okay. Very hot and lacking flavor. Fried chicken ramen. Broth not very hot. Underdeveloped broth flavor. Ramen was good consistency. Very light on the greens and other additions to the ramen. Fried chicken cutlets star of the show. Very light, hot and crispy. Pork ramen. Same as above. Pork was fair at best. Very fatty but tender. And what's with the corn in the ramen. That's for a cup of noodle. I was so happy to see Dimsum on the menu until I saw the prices! Way more expensive than what you get in the city! So I opted for the seafood ramen lunch special for $17 which came with a choice of 2 sides. Service was quick. The place was clean with a lot of tables. I read some of the reviews before coming here and they were right, the broth was not hot enough and was a little bland. So I was very disappointed. I decided to try their sesame balls despite the price - $8.49 for 2 pieces since I was already here hoping that would make it better. Unfortunately it also missed the mark. I saw other people order noodle dish and fried rice and left with clean plates - maybe those taste better. I really hoped this place would be good.

I got the soup dumplings which had a lack of depth. The broth had very little pork flavor and the fried shrimp dumplings were mostly filled with cabbage. To be honest I would've rather had frozen dumplings..There was nothing very authentic about these dumplings which I was disappointed by. I had to use a lot of soy sauce and chili oil because they were bland. The desserts are relatively small but my yuzu cheesecake had a WONDERFUL flavor. Very full of yuzu flavor. It seemed to contain actual zest and wasn't too sweet! The mochi was very very hard and wasn't chewy...don't get it. It was not good. The crepe cake looked and tasted homemade but had pretty thick crepe layers which gave it an off texture. My friend still enjoyed it for the balanced flavor.

I was craving ribs, and…read morewhen I saw this place not only had them but also served hibiscus lemonade, I made the executive decision to have my family drive to Poughkeepsie from our bed & breakfast just to check it out. Worth it? Mostly, yes! Food: 4/5 We tried a little bit of everything, the Seared chicken breast - Hands down my favorite dish of the night. Perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and flavorful. Followed by the Bacon, egg, and homemade biscuit - A close second! The biscuit was dense and satisfying, and it had a really unique pesto-like sauce on top that made it memorable. Some other shout outs: 1) Orecchiette veggie pasta - Orecchiette is hard to find on menus, so I was delighted to see it here. It was a nice light option among our heavier dishes. 2) Jerk ribs - OK, so this is where my expectations and reality didn't fully align. They were well-cooked, but I'm a saucy girl, and these weren't as slathered or juicy as I'd hoped. That said, the rest of my table really enjoyed them. Also, that hibiscus lemonade? Chef's kiss. Refreshing and flavorful, and exactly the kind of detail that makes a place stand out to me. Service: 4/5 Now, here's where I was really surprised: one person was running the whole show. The head chef was managing the kitchen and the front of house--no servers, no extra help. Just him. For the amount of work that entails, he crushed it. Was it a bit slower than a staffed restaurant? Of course. But honestly, it gave the whole experience a humble, homegrown vibe that I appreciated. Also, it meant a lot to support a Black-owned restaurant and actually connect with the person behind the food. Final Thoughts: While we came for dinner, I could tell from the menu (and the vibe) that this place is really known for brunch. I'm genuinely curious to come back during brunch hours to see how the energy--and menu--might shift. Either way, it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for a spot with heart, flavor, and soul.
