Yummy tummmy. Food is so good here. Huge portions. Cold noodles with sesame is huge. And could be a meal. My first time at this restaurant. This possible might be the last. I will start off as it's a Friday evening and it's raining. So I expect to be little slower than normal because of the weather. Well I ordered my food inside. I didn't order online or over the phone. So when the man answered the phone while I was in there said it's about 30 mins for ordering. I don't pay attention to that because I'm inside restaurant and ordering. Now most places will have phone orders in one area and inside order somewhere else. Nope not here. They literally make food as the orders come regardless of how they are placed. Which I find interesting. Now after I order and pay the man says "hang tight, we'll get your order soon". I move to the side and wait. I'm also thinking like other Chinese restaurants do because you ordered inside they put your ticket on that side. After about 25 mins of waiting at this time, I'm also double parked and car running waiting for my food. I see the man loading the tickets up. I asked at this time how much longer for my order. He says oh it's up here it shouldn't be much longer. I now ask how much longer because I'm double parked. The man says they didn't start yet, but you can go park your car if you want. I tell him no, if it's started then please refund me my order. Y'all would never believe the next thing that happens. The man turns to the who I assuming is the manager of the restaurant and says "She wants a refund". Not one did he say this, it was 6 times he said this because counted. I had too regroup myself before I became belligerent. I said "first I'm a man". I am a full beard wearing man. I'm 6'0 280 lb chub. So I got man boobs okay but again I'm literally all man And "yes I would like a refund, the orders hasnt even been started". I told him I was double parked again. The woman who is running the kitchen over hears this and says 2 min we doing it now. The man then says to the woman "you can cancel her order, she wants a refund". I say again I'm a man sir. I have a mask on my face but also because I'm full bearded and my beard is very healthy and long, why is you calling me "she/her". I'm confused. I could have acted in a way that wasn't going to get no where but for the police to be called. My food was now done 4 mins after this. When the man went to give me my food. He caught himself cause he was about to it's her but he caught it. At this point I'm sure if my mask and sunglasses wasn't on, you would see this big black man turning red from literally acting out of character. Now the food. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is because the fried rice is very bland, and the boneless spare ribs were too well done and fatty. We have tried numerous dishes, and everything else was great! I was in the Duchess County area for business and was looking for a restaurant that had more traditional Chinese dishes. So I asked a few friends in the area and they recommended this restaurant. I stopped by for lunch and realized they had ramen, different noodles, soups and generally more dishes then your average Chinese place. Was craving ramen so I got their beef ramen. All in all order was ready in about 10 mins. After enjoying my meal, I'd say the taste, quality, and size all are very reasonable. MSG thru the roof, ridiculously bright red pork bits in your rice and egg rolls and those unidentified fried chicken meat blobs drizzled with whatever; plain with sauce on the side, it's Sweet and Sour, drizzled with reddish sauce: General Tso's, sprinkle some sesame seeds it transforms into Sesame Chicken, and so on. I must confess, I love it. Honestly, I crave places like this. A menu with 400 different (but the same) dishes, the rear illuminated menu glamor shots of Happy Family and other exotic culinary inventions swimming in "Fragrant Sauce" fills a need. The order routine; grab the correct menu (Lunch or Dinnner) from the counter. Extract a pencil from the plastic soup container full of raw rice and circle the items you want, hand it to the cashier who will shout your order to the cooks, hand you your ticket and turn the cash register display your direction with the total. Have a seat and watch your fellow diners, largely local IBM programmers (or local large IBM programmers) who have been specifically warned by their cardiologists NOT to eat here. A number of folks that dabble in Mandarin will do their best to extend a greeting or even order in the tongue of the owner; the folks behind the counter are not impressed. When it comes to certain food types (i.e. Chinese) I tend to stick to favorite "go to" spots, but sometimes I'll feel adventurous enough to try something new. Tonight was one of those nights. Late night meetings and awful weather put me in a general tso's with pork fried rice kind of mood. Decided to stop in on the way home and check out something new. On the outside and inside its your typical takeout spot. Nothing fancy but gets the job done. I put my order in and it was ready in less than 10 minutes (beware there's a $10 credit minimum, so i had to throw on soup in addition to the combo). Overall the quality of the food was good and had some nice flavor to it. The chicken pieces were a bit on the thinner side compared to other places where its a bit chunkier. Despite that, the chicken was still tender and well cooked and the sauce wasn't overly oily. Compared to the other locations I frequent, this one didn't seem stack up, but it certainly wasn't too far off. I'd come back and give it another go. read more

I was last at this resturant a few months ago. I went out of my way to go there last night as the food WAS always great . Upon arriving I noticed that the interior had been a little bit updated and the staff had changed. The staff was polite and made sure the order was correct. I was on a budget and knew how much I was planning to spend. The bill came up about $5.00 more than I was planning to spend. Looking at the menu I see all the prices had gone up from $0.30 -$1.50 per item. I got home with my food and had a hard time recongnizing the items that I always get. . I was very upset to see that the Chicken that I normally love was now in a red sauce rather than brown and the chicken was now very thin and breaded, I wanted to bring it back but my kids insisted I would be being a "Karen". I tried it hated it and ate very little of it. The lomein was also very flavorless and seemed dry. The egg rolls we not crisp or hot and the ingreidients did not seem fresh. I have had positive and negative experiences with this place. When there is a lady or young women (daughters, maybe?) working the counter, the service is great. There is a man who often works the counter/register who I find to be quite rude. The food is pretty good. I order online quite often. I recently ordered 3 entrees online and when I got home, found that 1 of them was incorrect. I assumed it was an issue with the online ordering. Nope. The receipts from that visit included the online receipt (which was correct) and their receipt which was incorrect. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I really liked there food until I got food poisoning when I ate one of there chicken dishes. That was the only thing I ate that day. They have to start going by health codes keeping there foods at the desired temps before it's cooked. It was hard to tell the chicken was bad because the sauce that it was in. I can tell when meat is bad but when it has sauces to cover the stench then we all are taking a chance. I have an intestinal disease and it hit me hard. I hate giving ban reviews but I just want everyone to cautious. If a baby or a child would of eaten it they wouldn't survive the bacteria.! To the owner of this restaurant please teach your workers to go by health and food rules. The place isn't that clean either and don't go to the bathroom unless you have a hazmat suit on. You can tell a lot about a restaurant if bathroom is filthy if it is than what does there kitchen look like. Today's review is based upon not being able to get served. Normally I like this place but today I did not have more than three dollars in my pocket. They refused to take my debit card. They said they wanted a $15 minimum. My meal was about six dollars. I will now boycott this place for at least one year. Very rude and unprofessional. When asked to review the tapes, she said they were too busy and gave me an attitude. However, I forced them to review it. After they review the tapes, realized they messed up, gave me my change. No apologizies, nothing, just asked us to leave. NEVER EVER going back again. Note this restaurant is "Peking Restaurant V" and is not another location of the Chan's Peking on Raymond Ave. The first couple times I ordered food was good, but my last order was just OK. I ordered Szechuan shrimp and the the mixed vegetables included giant pieces of green peppers. This is obviously just a filler and really hate when Chinese restaurants do that. read more

First tried it almost a 1 1/2 ago. Didnt care for our orders, found the food to be bland. Tried again recently ordered the Seafood Singapore Chow Mei. Got a container full of noodles with 3 small shrimps and 2.5 small scallops, barely saw any crab meat. Definitely should have had more seafood. read more
