It may be a franchise, but it doesn't feel like one. The staff doesn't have you waiting around, before bringing cold water, menus, and ask if you'd like to order drinks. They have a traditional menu with Japanese entrees. There's a discounted lunch menu where you pick one item in each column. Of course there are sushi and sashimi a la cart, or an arrangement of several types on one plate. The food is delivered promptly and plated beautifully. What is supposed to be hot, is hot and what is it supposed to be Cold, is cold. The way it's supposed to be. The entrees are delicious and very filling. The plates and bowls have a Japanese feeling and their name on them. The interior has Japanese style art on the walls and noren hanging by the kitchen and restrooms.

First time checking this place out while in the area and enjoyed a really nice lunch. I tried the beef ramen and it was tasty and comforting. Prices comparable to most other ramen spots. Service was excellent and place seemed clean. Wish the menu had more dim sum/ appetizer options but the ramen selection was nice.

This is the Wappingers location, plenty of parking in the back, a modern design , clean and airy location. We loved it. Our waiter Leo?? Was such a smiling young and polite young man, not much of a "  conversation " but enough to get the job right. Brought cold water and the menus right away, very attentive to our table. Nice menus with pictures. Food was delicious We started with the Shanghai Soup Dumpling ABSOLUTLY delicious and the Short Ribs quite good too. My Stir Fry Ramen with pork was finger liking good, quite a big portion. My husband had the Stir Fry Ramen with Chicken also a delicious, huge portion. My friend had the Yaki Udon, thick noodle she loved it. Her husband had Donburi, and it wasn't all rice, he seemed to enjoy every morsel. All in all it was a delightful evening, with outstanding food. We will most definetly be back. Their ice tea is home made and quite good. Incidentally, they provide you with forks and chopsticks.

First time here extremely authentic. Very clean and very welcoming

The ramen was good-looking. The crispy chicken ramen was okay. The noodles were cooked firm, and the chicken was bland but crispy. The Niku ramen was flavorful but could use more spice and an authentic chili flavor. The broth was sweet. I'm not sure why bacon, or maybe it was thin-cut pork strips, but it resembled boiled bacon. I was expecting thick slices of pork.

This is the practically raw, giblet-shimmering gross beef that I didn't like! This was the 'beef' in my kimchi beef Ramen!

We stopped by during a snow storm for a Saturday night out to try out the new Ramen house nearby! Great parking, clean restaurant, pleasant workers. Very beautiful, modern design. The waiter was a quiet shy oriental young guy. I ordered the Kimchi beef Ramen & my wife had the fried beef Ramen. We also ordered the hot tea for each of us. Much to my disappointment, the tea was Lipton's decaf green tea! (see pic) I mean I understand this isn't a Michelin 3, but at least give me the little tea pot and the little cups, you know? I want to pretend I'm in some exotic location not having some lame lipton tea! I would have stayed home for lipton tea. Not a big deal, but noted. Anyway the food came out very quickly and there was lots of it, great sized portions. The beef in my Ramen looked like raw giblets, it's like they shaved ray beef and just put it in the hot water. (Gross-see pic!) Also it's nice when eating noodles like this to get the little plate of mint leaves, mung beans, sliced jalapeños etc to put in your Ramen noodles.. that was missing... Also my kimchi was unremarkable. I will say the broth was very spicy & flavorful, quite delicious. My wife enjoyed.her fried beef Ramen for the most part but she was also feeling g as if her beef was not cooked enough. Most of our food went uneaten. Perhaps a trip here for lunch is in order, maybe if we try their gyoza (fried and we'll done, please) I will say our tab was extremely inexpensive coming in at only $37, so yes we may try a lunch here.in the future but we went home a bit sad tonight!

Finally, a ramen place nearby where the broth is actually rich and reminds me of the stuff i get in manhattan! Their dim sum also look super good, although pricey. I got their soup dumplings and they were decent too, great flavor. Only con is their dumplings stick to the paper in the steam baskets a little, wish they used cabbage leaves instead.

We are not from the area or state but passed by randomly and saw Ichiddo as we were driving. We were so excited to see the menu on their windows and they offered dim sum all the time. Everything we ordered was delicious. I've had many soup dumplings but these were the best I've ever had! There was flavorful broth and meat inside the soup dumplings. Usually, the broth gets absorbed by the dough but not these. Every bite was juicy, flavorful with an abundance of broth. Pork shumai with shrimp and crab roe was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The har gow (shrimp) was probably my least favorite item I ate. It was mediocre but not special. The crispy duck rolls were delightful; crispy outside with moist filling, served with Thai chili sauce. The spicy miso ramen was the star of the show! The flavorful, savory broth that had all the umami notes was truly a work of art. The spice level was enjoyable to the palate. It had slices of tender pork that melted in your mouth. The ramen noodles were perfectly cooked and soaked up the delicious broth. There was a soft boiled egg, fish cake, nori and scallions. I could've easily had another bowl! We ended our delicious dinner with bean paste sesame balls. They were crispy on the outside but soft in the middle with the perfect amount of sweetness in the middle with the bean paste. Honeydew yakult was very refreshing. Service was wonderful. We got sat immediately and our food was made fresh because it didn't come out immediately and you can taste the freshness in every dish. The dumplings weren't frozen or premade. We also didn't wait long for our food. We got through our entire meal in an hour from start to finish. The restaurant is very clean and tidy. I love all the Japanese decor. The prices are also very affordable, especially for Hudson Valley. I highly recommend this establishment and can't wait to go try more dishes.

I was so happy to see Dimsum on the menu until I saw the prices! Way more expensive than what you get in the city! So I opted for the seafood ramen lunch special for $17 which came with a choice of 2 sides. Service was quick. The place was clean with a lot of tables. I read some of the reviews before coming here and they were right, the broth was not hot enough and was a little bland. So I was very disappointed. I decided to try their sesame balls despite the price - $8.49 for 2 pieces since I was already here hoping that would make it better. Unfortunately it also missed the mark. I saw other people order noodle dish and fried rice and left with clean plates - maybe those taste better. I really hoped this place would be good.

The development there has come a long way over the last few years, making it a great destination for a quick lunch or a sit-down dinner. Plus, having plenty of parking in a modern, well-maintained square is a massive win--no circling the block looking for a spot here. While the name promises "Bao," I haven't ventured into that side of the menu just yet. Why? Because the Ramen is too good to pass up. The Meat Soup (Ramen) is my go-to. The broth is rich, savory, and clearly made with care. It's the kind of "fantastic" comfort food you want on a chilly Connecticut day. The meat is tender and the portions are satisfying. If you're in the Oxford area and looking for authentic flavors in a clean, modern setting, this is the place. It's easy to get to, easy to park, and the soup never misses.

From the moment we stepped inside Kpot, Kasey went above and beyond with service; she was so very kind and accommodating. Without prompting, she immediately created a space for me to keep my wheelchair safe and accessible without it being in the way at our table, which is always something I have to worry about myself when I go anywhere. I have dietary restrictions and she was very enthusiastic and willing to swap out the BBQ trays multiple times as needed. I never once felt like it was a bother. It was my loved one's birthday, and when we told Kasey, she completely understood the assignment. She made sure that we were having a wonderful time, was ninja-like in making sure our unused dishes were out of the way, she made wonderful, positive conversation that helped make our entire table feel welcomed + relaxed like we were old friends, and she had the most excellent timing with bringing out a surprise birthday treat at the end of our visit! I have never felt like a staff member at any place of business, no matter how wonderful they were otherwise, was as sincerely invested in making our experience unforgettable as Kasey was. at Kpot. Kpot is incredibly fortunate to have found such a warm, bright human being to work there. We went on a Saturday, and when any of us ever return in the future, we will absolutely be sure to come on Saturday again in hopes of having Kasey as our host again! The food itself was very good, and the value cannot be understated. It's a great bang-for-your-buck! Once you pay for the hotpot/bbq, you also have access to a variety of food by the sauce bar. (I specifically got some chicken wings and French fries and dipped them in the delicious chili sauce!) Every one at my table had very positive reviews of their food (which were, of course, only bolstered by their raving about Kasey! Seriously, I cannot overstate how this review is glowing because of her, haha! We all agreed that we will be coming back again, in a large part due to the service; KPot has found itself four loyal customers because of her. ) The food being brought to the table was also very timely. There were no delays and everything came right out, fresh from the kitchen. Absolutely nothing tasted bad or off. The atmosphere inside of the restaurant is pretty conducive to feeling social and open, yet perfectly private for your party. It feels like a really good spot to catch up with friends you haven't seen in a while, or to celebrate special occasions with a small group. I do also wanna mention how convenient it was to get food. They give you an iPad with names and pictures of all the food items. It is extremely easy and intuitive to use, and it's probably the best means of ordering food I've had at a buffet-style place. Very hygienic and timely! I truly cannot overstate how the excellent service made our experience as amazing as it was. The food is great and Kpot itself is, of course, quite nice, but the service elevated it into the position of being my FIRST choice when it comes to dining out with multiple people again. I wholeheartedly recommend dining here, if not for the insane value you get in terms of food, then absolutely for the excellent service -- be sure to come on a Saturday so that you're more likely to have such a wonderful, warm and professional person providing your service! Endless thanks, again, to Kasey. You made this experience what it was, and as someone who does not get to see my loved ones for occasions like this often, it means the world to me that we had such incredible service from someone that made everything feel special. I am so glad that we chose here as our birthday dinner spot.

The meats were fresh and tender, cooking quickly on the grill. The hot pot broth was rich and comforting, especially when loaded with vegetables, noodles, and your favorite proteins that you can choose from! One of the highlights was being able to switch between grilling and hot pot throughout the meal. The endless options kept things exciting, and every combination tasted different. The seafood was fresh, the vegetables crisp, and the noodles soaked up all the delicious broth flavors. (You add $5 if you want both) For drinks, I got Piña Colada and tried their bubble tea as well, Matt got Coconut mojito. (The server heard Coke and Mojito she immediately change it and apologized) The thing I don't like and could possibly improve is their appetizer, sauce and salad area. Sauce were good but apps only has few selection, like chicken nuggets, fries, etc. and looks like it has been sitting there. Nuggets were rubbery. Ambiance was okay, not that much people when we came in around 5. Place seems nice as well. But other than that it was a delicious feast from start to finish, with plenty of variety and something for everyone. Come hungry because you'll definitely leave full and happy! :)

The broth is excellent in both the Miso and Kuro ramen; the Kuro in particular was a standout, especially paired with the house-made gyoza. The kimchi tasted fresh, and it was great to see real wakame used rather than a shortcut substitute. The wait staff is a bit inexperienced, and the restaurant layout is awkward. Reservations are apparently recommended, and this isn't a place to visit if you're in a rush. Still, those minor drawbacks are easy to overlook given the quality of the food. Tanma's front counter space is petite with about 6 stools and giving you an eyeful of ramen magic in the kitchen. The izakaya is fun with Japanese rock music playing- which loosely reminded me of Kill Bill's 5.6.7.8's scene. Tanma's owner was thorough and gave hubs and I a crash course on bowl+spoon placement, aligning the wakame to be at the front, sipping the broth first, pulling noodles high and dipping them in and out the broth. And then just then you move your head closer to the bowl, so that you can take in the delicious ramen combo without spilling any and slurp it up. I've had ramen in Scarsdale with a clear veg broth, topped with crispy tofu, grilled tomato slices, Napa cabbage and other grilled veg. So getting an all-veg broth with a splash of coconut cream to mimic pork broth here wasn't what I expected. Getting an all-clear veg broth here isn't an option either- but what's important is we were assured it's a herbi-broth that's used. The kimchi, bamboo shoots and shredded cabbage toppings were nice- but I opted out of the vegan chashu instantly. Again, I was assured it's vegan- but no thank you. This was an experience for both of us- and we liked it. So whether you're a ramen pro or curious newcomers like my husband and I- and you're ready to dive into the deep end of this noodle soup pool, Tanma is the place.
