Yaki Udon with seafood

This is the Wappingers location, plenty of parking in the back, a modern design , clean and airy location. We loved it. Our waiter Leo?? Was such a smiling young and polite young man, not much of a "  conversation " but enough to get the job right. Brought cold water and the menus right away, very attentive to our table. Nice menus with pictures. Food was delicious We started with the Shanghai Soup Dumpling ABSOLUTLY delicious and the Short Ribs quite good too. My Stir Fry Ramen with pork was finger liking good, quite a big portion. My husband had the Stir Fry Ramen with Chicken also a delicious, huge portion. My friend had the Yaki Udon, thick noodle she loved it. Her husband had Donburi, and it wasn't all rice, he seemed to enjoy every morsel. All in all it was a delightful evening, with outstanding food. We will most definetly be back. Their ice tea is home made and quite good. Incidentally, they provide you with forks and chopsticks.

It's sooo good. We just went back 2 weekends in a row. The soup dumplings, Gyoza and crispy chicken ramen are to die for!!

First time here extremely authentic. Very clean and very welcoming

The ramen was good-looking. The crispy chicken ramen was okay. The noodles were cooked firm, and the chicken was bland but crispy. The Niku ramen was flavorful but could use more spice and an authentic chili flavor. The broth was sweet. I'm not sure why bacon, or maybe it was thin-cut pork strips, but it resembled boiled bacon. I was expecting thick slices of pork.

This is the practically raw, giblet-shimmering gross beef that I didn't like! This was the 'beef' in my kimchi beef Ramen!

We stopped by during a snow storm for a Saturday night out to try out the new Ramen house nearby! Great parking, clean restaurant, pleasant workers. Very beautiful, modern design. The waiter was a quiet shy oriental young guy. I ordered the Kimchi beef Ramen & my wife had the fried beef Ramen. We also ordered the hot tea for each of us. Much to my disappointment, the tea was Lipton's decaf green tea! (see pic) I mean I understand this isn't a Michelin 3, but at least give me the little tea pot and the little cups, you know? I want to pretend I'm in some exotic location not having some lame lipton tea! I would have stayed home for lipton tea. Not a big deal, but noted. Anyway the food came out very quickly and there was lots of it, great sized portions. The beef in my Ramen looked like raw giblets, it's like they shaved ray beef and just put it in the hot water. (Gross-see pic!) Also it's nice when eating noodles like this to get the little plate of mint leaves, mung beans, sliced jalapeños etc to put in your Ramen noodles.. that was missing... Also my kimchi was unremarkable. I will say the broth was very spicy & flavorful, quite delicious. My wife enjoyed.her fried beef Ramen for the most part but she was also feeling g as if her beef was not cooked enough. Most of our food went uneaten. Perhaps a trip here for lunch is in order, maybe if we try their gyoza (fried and we'll done, please) I will say our tab was extremely inexpensive coming in at only $37, so yes we may try a lunch here.in the future but we went home a bit sad tonight!

Finally, a ramen place nearby where the broth is actually rich and reminds me of the stuff i get in manhattan! Their dim sum also look super good, although pricey. I got their soup dumplings and they were decent too, great flavor. Only con is their dumplings stick to the paper in the steam baskets a little, wish they used cabbage leaves instead.

We are not from the area or state but passed by randomly and saw Ichiddo as we were driving. We were so excited to see the menu on their windows and they offered dim sum all the time. Everything we ordered was delicious. I've had many soup dumplings but these were the best I've ever had! There was flavorful broth and meat inside the soup dumplings. Usually, the broth gets absorbed by the dough but not these. Every bite was juicy, flavorful with an abundance of broth. Pork shumai with shrimp and crab roe was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The har gow (shrimp) was probably my least favorite item I ate. It was mediocre but not special. The crispy duck rolls were delightful; crispy outside with moist filling, served with Thai chili sauce. The spicy miso ramen was the star of the show! The flavorful, savory broth that had all the umami notes was truly a work of art. The spice level was enjoyable to the palate. It had slices of tender pork that melted in your mouth. The ramen noodles were perfectly cooked and soaked up the delicious broth. There was a soft boiled egg, fish cake, nori and scallions. I could've easily had another bowl! We ended our delicious dinner with bean paste sesame balls. They were crispy on the outside but soft in the middle with the perfect amount of sweetness in the middle with the bean paste. Honeydew yakult was very refreshing. Service was wonderful. We got sat immediately and our food was made fresh because it didn't come out immediately and you can taste the freshness in every dish. The dumplings weren't frozen or premade. We also didn't wait long for our food. We got through our entire meal in an hour from start to finish. The restaurant is very clean and tidy. I love all the Japanese decor. The prices are also very affordable, especially for Hudson Valley. I highly recommend this establishment and can't wait to go try more dishes.

Fried chicken ramen. Broth not very hot. Underdeveloped broth flavor. Ramen was good consistency. Very light on the greens and other additions to the ramen. Fried chicken cutlets star of the show. Very light, hot and crispy. Pork ramen. Same as above. Pork was fair at best. Very fatty but tender. And what's with the corn in the ramen. That's for a cup of noodle. Which actually has a better taste profile than this ramen broth. Service was good. Waiter was very sweet and welcoming. Prices overboard for the quality they are serving. Will not return.

Way more expensive than what you get in the city! So I opted for the seafood ramen lunch special for $17 which came with a choice of 2 sides. Service was quick. The place was clean with a lot of tables. I read some of the reviews before coming here and they were right, the broth was not hot enough and was a little bland. So I was very disappointed. I decided to try their sesame balls despite the price - $8.49 for 2 pieces since I was already here hoping that would make it better. Unfortunately it also missed the mark. I saw other people order noodle dish and fried rice and left with clean plates - maybe those taste better. I really hoped this place would be good.

I got the soup dumplings which had a lack of depth. The broth had very little pork flavor and the fried shrimp dumplings were mostly filled with cabbage. To be honest I would've rather had frozen dumplings..There was nothing very authentic about these dumplings which I was disappointed by. I had to use a lot of soy sauce and chili oil because they were bland. The desserts are relatively small but my yuzu cheesecake had a WONDERFUL flavor. Very full of yuzu flavor. It seemed to contain actual zest and wasn't too sweet! The mochi was very very hard and wasn't chewy...don't get it. It was not good. The crepe cake looked and tasted homemade but had pretty thick crepe layers which gave it an off texture. My friend still enjoyed it for the balanced flavor.

Both were really delicious, not too salty or fatty and hot! I have had ramen in some place that could have used a microwave. As god as the Ramen were the pan fried House dumplings were amazing. I wish I had more room for another twelve. We're going back tomorrow !!

The broth is excellent in both the Miso and Kuro ramen; the Kuro in particular was a standout, especially paired with the house-made gyoza. The kimchi tasted fresh, and it was great to see real wakame used rather than a shortcut substitute. The wait staff is a bit inexperienced, and the restaurant layout is awkward. Reservations are apparently recommended, and this isn't a place to visit if you're in a rush. Still, those minor drawbacks are easy to overlook given the quality of the food. You'd have to drive into NYC to get better ramen. Highly recommended.

Plus, we were craving a soul-soothing, heart-warming bowl of noodle goodness to warm us up from the inside out. Tanma's front counter space is petite with about 6 stools and giving you an eyeful of ramen magic in the kitchen. The izakaya is fun with Japanese rock music playing- which loosely reminded me of Kill Bill's 5.6.7.8's scene. Tanma's owner was thorough and gave hubs and I a crash course on bowl+spoon placement, aligning the wakame to be at the front, sipping the broth first, pulling noodles high and dipping them in and out the broth. And then just then you move your head closer to the bowl, so that you can take in the delicious ramen combo without spilling any and slurp it up. I've had ramen in Scarsdale with a clear veg broth, topped with crispy tofu, grilled tomato slices, Napa cabbage and other grilled veg. So getting an all-veg broth with a splash of coconut cream to mimic pork broth here wasn't what I expected. Getting an all-clear veg broth here isn't an option either- but what's important is we were assured it's a herbi-broth that's used. The kimchi, bamboo shoots and shredded cabbage toppings were nice- but I opted out of the vegan chashu instantly. Again, I was assured it's vegan- but no thank you. This was an experience for both of us- and we liked it. So whether you're a ramen pro or curious newcomers like my husband and I- and you're ready to dive into the deep end of this noodle soup pool, Tanma is the place.
