We visited Little Buddy for the second time and wow, still great as it was the first time around. It's a nice little cozy spot in Stamford with great tasty Thai food, great prices and superb service. We had the steamed chicken dumplings which were absolutely delicious. It's small inside but nice and clean with Asian decor. There's limited amount of space so it can be noisy depending on who's sitting next to you. However we definitely recommend checking out Little Budda. read more

Little Buddha is our go-to Thai restaurant. We've eaten inside a few times but mainly enjoy delivery from them. We've never had an issue with Little Buddha. The order is always correct and the food arrives quickly and hot each time. We have been regular costumers for quite a few years now and this is something Little Buddha should be so proud of- correct orders every single time! The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious! Never have we gotten a questionable piece of meat (like we often find when eating at our local Chinese restaurant) or an off putting flavor. The quality is great! The spice levels aren't consistent but that's not a real issue for us, personally. What this means is that if my fiancé orders hot drunken noodles, he may get way more spice than he did the last time he ordered the meal. The spice is always there but could be hotter other times. If you don't like spicy, always aim for mild because the hot is...well, it's HOT (which isn't a problem in our household. Bring on the heat)! I highly recommend their Tom Kar soup (preferably with chicken), drunken noodle, Pad Thai, massaman curry, potato curry puffs, Tao Hoo Tod, chicken satay, and their Thai iced tea (these are always our go-to menu items). read more

Im from out of state, but I've ordered from little buddha a few times now when ive been in town! Last night a friend and I both ordered pad see ew for dinner. We were hoping for delivery, but the time was quoted about an hour, so we opted to just pick it up- in which the food would be ready 20 minutes after we ordered. I'm happy we did this- the food was hot and ready when we arrived! The food itself was DELICIOUS. Flavors were on point, and the noodles were cooked wonderfully. I have only ordered takeout from Little Buddha and it will likely stay that way, given how tiny the restaurant is and how close in proximity the tables are to the greasy-smelling kitchen. Although I have had much better and more authentic Thai food, their food is above Stamford standards and hence the reason why I continue to order from here when stuck in this city. I usually go for the Thai boat beef noodle soup, a rather pricey option for its ingredients, but it is one of the better noodle soups I've had in Stamford. I do like the fact that they are generous with the beef. I've also tried the roti canai and papaya salad, which were mediocre, but satisfies ones cravings. The same can be said about the pad thai, pad see-ew, drunken noodles and the shrimp laksa noodle soup. If you are looking for some authentic Thai food, don't order from here. We stoped for lunch, Tum Yum Soup was the only deserves to rate, the curry serve with Roti Canai was terrible taste. We really loved Little Buddha! After trying several Thai restaurants in the area, we settled on Little Buddha as our favorite. However, we had a customer service experience that might cause us to break up with them. Their online ordering is solid, but sometimes you can order for delivery ASAP and other times you have to schedule it. Usually, not a big deal. We ordered ahead of time for a scheduled delivery as we have many times before. Our scheduled time came and went and we waited and waited and waited. After 30 minutes, we called and we were informed that their online "schedule order" is not accurate. They don't begin to look at online orders until 5 pm. This isn't posted clearly on their website and there is no way to track the progress of your order. The person on the phone wasn't kind in their explanation and instead told us it was our fault and we shouldn't order that way. About 40 minutes after the "scheduled" time, our order arrived. The delivery driver was gruff and muttered something under his breath upon drop off. Even if the online ordering caveats were clearly posted on the website, there is a gentler way to handle customers. Little Buddha, your food is great. The peanut sauce is delicious and I think if ordering from this place more than I'd like to admit. However, you customer service and communication need some work. read more

My family and I love the food from Little Buddha. My favorite is the Nasi Goreng dish, a savory/sweet fried rice dish with an egg on top. Sooo good. What's funny is that I almost never eat just fried rice from anywhere. But Little Buddha brings it up a notch and I devour it. The kids love the Thai ice tea, the dumplings or potato curry puff. They do a good pad Thai, but for something different, get the Hakka noodles! Hubby likes the crispy chicken, which is their version of General Tao's chicken but with thinner strips of chicken and finely chopped chilies. And you have to try the mango sticky rice for dessert. Was hungry so we decided to give this place a try (for take-out). When we first opened the door, we noticed there was this smell that smelt like an old asian supermarket. Looked up at some reviews and everyone raved about the fried okra, so we decided to order that, the ginger fish and a beef noodle. After we placed in the order, we noticed that they were doing a special about ordering an entree and you could get an app (the fried okras) for $2. On the fine print of this sign, it says it must be mentioned upon ordering. First of all, not sure what kind of special promotion this is, when they have signs everywhere about this $2 promotion, yet when we were talking about this, the waitress didn't say anything or adjusted our bill. Little Buddha is a small restaurant. Authentic in the sense there's a Thai waiter and in the background I hear Thai movies or tv. With 9 small tables it could be somewhere in Bangkok, I've been to places like this. I ordered chicken satay and shrimp Tom yum soup. The first was not more than 3 chunks of grilled chicken with some curry inside. I had to ask the waiter to add cucumber to the vinegar condiment. Was he thinking I wouldn't notice? This satay is not to be recommended: too chunky, way too dry. And even when the waiter said "tell me next time so I can take it off?" Seriously? I complain about it and you still let me pay for it? Tom Yum soup scored higher. It wasn't the best soup I've ever had, definitely had better in both USA and Thailand. The Thai food is the best I've had in America. I can honestly say it's AUTHENTIC because I just got back from Thailand 2 weeks ago! The Pad Thai was my favorite dish.. UNTIL TODAY! I tried the Pay See-Ew steamed tofu & veggies. My boyfriend usually gets the railroad fried rice which never fails! They give you so many veggies & so you feel just a little bit better & not like you're cheating when you're on a diet LOL! This place may be small but they've managed to decorate it so it doesn't feel like you're dining at a takeout. They have a pretty extensive menu considering the size of this restaurant. They have a dedicated veggie section that is made without animal products (win). We ordered the spicy okra, green veggies stir fry and the railroad fried brown rice (vegan-style). Went here a couple weeks ago due to a craving I was having for chili chicken. It's close to my job so I gave it a try. The staff was welcoming. The sitting area is small, but that's fine for a grab and go place. The order was ready in around 5 min. For the lunch special I ordered the lunch chili crispy chicken, with a side of rice. This chicken was served with the a thick sauce, and the crispy chicken was very chewy. I was happy with the service so I'm going to give it another try, maybe the chili chicken chef special is what I was looking for. I'll keep you posted. read more
