After reading all the great reviews was curious to give them a try. We ordered shrimp fried rice , chicken and broccoli in garlic sauce and fried wings. For both orders the rice was soggy, clumpy and compacted ! Both were BLAND BLAND BLAND ! Not even soy sauce could help them. Shocking how many great reviews this place gets. This place used to be good but has really gone downhill. General TSO chicken tasted overly sweet and the chicken was extremely tough and hard to chew and threw it out. Chicken lo mein had a hair in it and we threw that out too. I would have went back to complain but we had already had to go back after they forgot to give us our general tso chicken and I wasn't about go back a 2nd time, I just won't go back ever. read more

Disclaimer: I worked here for about two years while in high school. To the review below that accused this place of being filthy - No. This place will always have a piece of my cold, shriveled heart. Dave and Amy are pretty much family. It's where I picked up snippets of both Cantonese and Spanish (mostly how to say "chicken," "broccoli," and "oh crap I burned the flesh off my hands"), and learned how to put together the components of wonton soup in under a minute. It's also where I dealt with the illiterate ("Does the pepper steak contain, you know, actual pepper?" once queried a sincerely puzzled little old lady), the massively jacked (12 ounces steamed chicken, 4 ounces steamed broccoli, a quart of brown rice, hold the brown sauce), the crazy (one beanpole of a man once waffled between the hot and sour pork, the sesame chicken, and the flank steak for 10 minutes, only to sadly order a tiny pint of white rice), the very rude ("Um can you make the lobster sauce without those tiny pieces of carrots and peas?" during a fire drill of a dinner rush), and the very kind. The food is always fresh and yummy. They have many healthy choices as well as the usual Chinese fare. Dave, the owner, is always warm and friendly. They do cater to a large crowd of body builders but it doesn't interfere with their tasty cuisine or wait times, as the other review says. It is always busy on the weekend nights but the food is worth the wait. It's a shame that there's no delivery! My favorites are chicken with broccoli and shrimp with cashew nuts. Made a pickup order to go 6pm on a sat, and I was surprised how not busy it was, but 3 people behind the counter were talking and I was asked for my order immediately. They are very nice people, I believe it is a family run restaurant. Then I then I began to look around. Waiting about 7 min, I realized how dirty it is in there. I think that any Chinese takeout place that I have been too is about that dirty. There is alot of dust in clumps on the soda machine vents, the fans, the ceiling air filters, the big menu above the counter with the pictures, the floors and walls have stains; it just looks dirty. I got my order, and left. When I opened my general tso extra spicy combination, the most noticeable thing was yellow rice, yes yellow. Dont get my wrong, I like yellow rice...but usually when Im eating Spanish food, and there is usually something in it. Their pork fried rice is basically yellow rice and a few pieces of pork; there is no onions, vegetables, sprouts, or egg in it, just plain yellow rice. It was flavorless. The general tsos was not as spicy and hot as I hoped for considering I asked for "extra spicy". The taste was average with any Chinese takeout place I have been too. The chunks of meat were not the highest quality, but it appeared to be white meat. Some chunks of the chicken were mushy, some were crunchy. Overall, taste was on par with any other take out place. The sauce was very thick on it, but they did add sauteed onions and peppers to it, which I normally do not see anywhere else. I did like this, others may not. Egg roll too was average like any other take out place. The portion size is enough for two people. Bottom line, I have had better pork fried rice just about anywhere, I didnt order yellow rice but thats what I got. The general tso was average with anywhere else, take your pic. This place is a little more than other places for the same item. I decided I will not be going back there. Service and take out was quick, but honestly, the food was only average, costs a little more than other take out places, and I never realized how dirty it was in there. Love this meal for lunch. I love their specialized chicken and steak specials. Also they do a homemade sauces which are confident and a nice touch. I always call my orders in and I never have to wait more than 10 minutes for my order to be ready. I've gotten the rest of my office hooked on this place. I do love this place but I had to take a star away because I feel being made an idiot of. if you look through the photos I posted on here or their online site via diet section, they do indeed have actual potatoes as side options. I had ordered beef with string beans and potatoes in brown sauce and when I had someone pick it up, they were told they don't carry potatoes and were given a whole dish of beef and just string beans with a side of french fries. I had to pay extra for the fries since they didn't carry potatoes as well? that's odd. I have three photos posted here, one with actual steak and large potatoes. I'm only taking this personally because I've been incredibly sick all day and needed something to coat my stomach. however, I'm not entirely disappointed. the french fries they provided at extra cost are indeed the largest fries I've seen in my life and they were not pre-frozen and fried; they are in fact freshly made. read more

Based in some feedback from this site, I ordered some takeout last night. Basic stuff: Chicken w. broccoli, Chicken w. eggplant, and Beef Lo Mien. I hate to trash a place, but lord was it AWFUL! Mushy broccoli..and chicken for that matter. The eggplant was cut into huge chucks and not cooked thru. Even the Lo Mien (how can you mess that up?) was a gooey mess. I know that Lo Mien is not supposed to be al dente, but this was like Spaghetti-O's out of a can mushy. Maybe I just caught them on bad night, but man was this disappointing! read more
