This was hands down the worst pizza that I have ever had. The staff were also not friendly.

I will admit I have been slacking on my reviews since I went back-to-back on vacation three times. This local pizza place is a hidden gem that was introduced to us by my Aunt Deborah (Debbie) Langer, who always orders pizza here for my cousins. They have been ordering from here for well over five years. I figured I should give this place a chance since my aunt spoke highly of it. Surely enough, this pizza place did not disappoint. In fact, we have made it our favorite pizza place to enjoy as well. The owners and staff are remarkably generous! They seem to also get along so well with their regular customers that it is like their recurring customers become a part of their family. It is amazing to see this hospitality and kindness in a restaurant setting. I personally love the creativity of this restaurant and how every time I come there is a new type of pizza pie or new menu item. It is truly unique that they take ambition to be brave, creative, and test out new food items. Keep up the awesome work and looking forward to the next time I eat in or order out! read more

I legitimately don't understand the lukewarm reviews on here (assuming they're from before the business changed hands) this is the closest to Fordham Pizza I've ever had. The garlic knots are delicious, my mom had a pizza burger and she said it was the best she's ever had, and they will make me a whole buffalo chicken pie even if I only need a slice and order ten minutes before closing, and the people are so kind. If a business changes ownership, the old reviews should be erased. You certainly don't come for the ambiance but the bathrooms are very clean. read more

Would give zero stars!! But not possible on this site!! Went into get dinner tonight and ordered a grilled chicken Caesar salad. When the salad arrive there was hardly any chicken on it Not even 4oz. !! when I approached the owner about the little amount of chicken that was on it she told me "You must be having a bad day!" and proceeded to demean me in front of other customers. " She told me I don't know where you get off telling me how much chicken to put on the salad!" I told her I would like my money back. Which by the way I had to go outside to another store to Use an ATM TO GET CASH. "Cash" only!!! I told her I was not going to ever come in again as she does not know the meaning of customer service. She said "I've been her more than 40 years I don't need your business!!"" I knew I should have left after I used the bathroom before ordering and it was In nasty condition and no hot water. Who in at least Rockland County NY goes to pick up food with no cash assuming the place takes credit cards??? A lot of complaints on this issue and I know of at least 5 places in Pearl River that only takes cash. I just assume they only take cash and bring cash with me. A ZERO would've been better fitting for this place...smh Just left Pizza City in Pearl River, NY after looking forward to trying their pizza since it's close to home. I ended up leaving soooo annoyed as the lady who was going to give me my order was soooo incredible rude and obnoxious. We had never been there before, hence didn't know they only took cash. My husband ordered the food on the phone and I went in to pick it up. When I went to give her my card to pay for my order, this lady gave me so much attitude, rudely pointed to the sign behind her that said only cash....as if I was supposed to know that they don't take cards before I got there. No one ever mentioned they only take cash on the phone. When I asked why someone taking the order didn't mention that to us on the phone, she had the nerve to say "what are we supposed to say hello, we don't take cards when we take orders". Totally unprofessional! No apology for the lack of info...nothing! I ended up leaving and told her she lost a customer after letting her know how inappropriate she was. IT GETS BETTER...she must've been PISSED that she lost the sale and has to waste food so she had the NERVE to call my husband back 5 minutes later to COMPLAIN about ME! At that point, I lost it... As soon as she heard my voice, she said "Oh shut the F up!" Shouting over me...Basically showed her true colors and how ratchet she is....totally disgusting! You couldn't pay me to go back to this place...never again and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone unless you wanna deal with the worst service ever. Based on their other Yelp reviews, you'll see I'm clearly not the only one she's disrespected and why they have poor ratings. Hopefully, they learn something from their experience with me and AT LEAST tell future customers on the phone that they only "take cash"....so they continue to waste food, money, people's time and lose more customers. Btw, we're happily enjoying our pizza and salad from Turiello's Pizza. It's worth the ride...they never disappoint. Being that this is right next to my gym, why not have a couple slices of pizza after working my butt off? Anyways, I have to say it was pretty satisfying. I ordered just plain cheese, because if a plain slice is good it can only get better from there! Can't wait to give some of there specialty slices a try in the future. I started working from home recently so I like ordering buffalo chicken pizza from here. Go there to pick up my weekly pizza and notice there's maybe a 5% chicken value on that pizza. So I ask for them to fix it. They then say all their pizzas are like this. I asked about the buffalo chicken slices that are on the counter having more than triple the amount. The lady comes out tells me to go fuck my self and tells me to leave. I didn't leave without my money back in my pocket. I'll goto the ten other pizza places around from now on. read more

We tried Pizza City and sure enjoyed it. We had a large pizza with mushrooms,chicken and Pepperoni. The crust was crisp and tasty. The Chicken was also fresh and you could tell it was cooked before hand before been added to the pizza. Liz and company were very attentive and personable. Solid if not unspectacular pizza place. Only vice is that they Don't take credit cards. Shouldn't present too much a problem, because the menu isn't very expensive, at all Owner with black hair, seems ok, maybe a bit quirky but most owners are. I was at the dollar store next door and the owner of this pizzeria came out cursing at people who were having a private party at the range next door. They got a pizza truck for theirprivate party. Every other word out of her mouth was the f curse and she wanted to kick the pizza truck out of the lot because she said he was taking business away from her when he wasn't selling pizza. She didn't even care that there were kids around and called the police on this poor innocent pizza truck guy. So classless. I would stay clear from this place just on the obnoxious behavior of the crazy owner. I took a video of her from my car because I have never seen such a horrible person treat people that way. She was even disrespectiful to the police officers. She shouldn't be in business with her vulgar mouth and if you have kids stay clear. Still can't believe she was threatened by a pizza truck. I really enjoy this pizzeria as a native to pearl river this is my go to pizzeria. The tomato sauce they make I will say is basic in flavor no crazy herbs or spice that really make it taste special but for me that's the way I like it. But you can tell the sauce is probably not homemade but that does not really bother me since the prices of the dinner dishes (chicken parm) are usually on the cheaper side (13) where most pizzerias charge about (17) Things to try- mozzarella sticks, chicken parm (substitute vodka sauce), Sicilian slice, and any of their speciality slices are quite tasty my personal favorite are chicken bacon ranch and buffalo chicken. read more

I love Pizza City. Used to eat here almost every day for lunch in high school. God, the restaurant has got to be 30+ years old. I remember playing video games in their old game room back in the day. I had a veggie slice it was decent but the sauce to cheese ration was hurting on the sauce end. However, the worst part was the lack of recycling plastic, tinfoil and paper all in the garbage. They dont care about the byproducts of their product so I doubt they care much about the ingredients. read more
