The last time I went to this local landmark was about 25 years ago. As a resident of Rockland for 40 years, Martio's was the go to Pizza spot. Simple decent island food. It's a local favorite but some of the dishes are close to fast food now. The pizza is still very good. Though it's not the same Martio's of the late 80s it's still Worth the visit to try out

    5$ pepperoni slice

5$ for a pepperoni slice, manhattan prices. The taxes dont add up to what youre spending. The employees are nice, professional.

So far...Best Pizza I've ever eaten!! So authentic & delicious. I burned the roof of my mouth eating it so fast. Great ambiance & nice service.

Aesthetic and vintage joint that seems to be operating their pizza restaurant out of what was an old school movie theatre. Their pizzas are made out of a fire oven that gets the crust nice and crispy. Each slice a little shy of $3 and was heated up quickly in a brick oven. Service was friendly and the business appeared to adhere to COVID guidelines wearing masks and providing sanitizer. This location looks like it would be a really cute date spot but for now, will settle on just taking a few slices to go. There are some parking spots on the street and it is easy to order ahead and just pick up. Pizza was really tasty, it had that char you look for when craving brick oven style pizza but was a little bland for my taste.

Interior: large, good for small and big groups. Dim lighting with great wood work embedded into the wall Brick oven pizza- We got this with pepperoni, sausage, and peppers. This came hot lightly burned around the edges ( this is how the brick oven pizza is suppose to be) the dough was soft with the perfect amount of each topping. Service: so fast! We were in and out within 20 minutes. They would always come in and check on us Unfortunately my camera was glitching when I took the picture of the pizza so it came out blurry and unclear. If I ever come back to New York I will definitely be coming back here.

Great pizza. Difficult parking but we are professionals and make it work. Fresh parmigiana cheese makes a HUGE difference.

I regret that decision. It's was dry with little cheese. I could only recommend the pizza I would not bother to order another entree. Here. In fact, I was one of their first customers to order when they first opened (was over an hour late - didn't complain off course, since I have been in the business). Now mind you, this has nothing to do with $$ whatsoever, but just a comment on how businesses are run now a days with a lack of logic, decency or customer service. It's indicative of our current culture, which is sad to see. So, quick story - we have accumulated numerous "pizzas cards" that they distributed in the past (collect 12 / get a free pizza; btw, we have so many) etc.. etc... Called in an order, but was told they stopped doing that (which is fine, I get it). Again, not the $$ - its like $20.00. But just the culture of a haphazard way to run a business/organization. (BTW - This person has no idea how long we have been customers :)) And we see it throughout now. I would expect that from a Dominos/ Pizza Hut etc., not from a community establishment. But anyway, just wanted to get the off my chest. There are many other options for pizza, but customer service is so important. Take some advice from an old timer - you need to use common sense when dealing with customers :)
