I wish I could give these guys 10 stars as my experience here was phenomenal. I came here with two of my friends after visiting Sleepy Hollow two weeks ago - not only did we have the most delicious meat and cheese board (American cheddar - epic, no joke, delicious and I'm from England), we had pate, and probably one of the nicest red wines I've had in awhile. I took half a pound of the cheddar home it was so good to share with my family. The best part though was the two guys at the shop - I'd go back just to chat with them. Truly the highlight of my weekend!

I stumbled upon Simard & Co. while exploring Nyack for the day with a few friends. It brought me right back to being in Paris, from the cheeses to the fresh artisan bread. The owners made us feel right at home. They were so knowledgeable and happy to give us samples. We ended up sitting down in the cozy dining area and had ourselves a lovely afternoon. As stuffed as I was I still bought cheeses, crackers and bread to take home. If you love cheese and charcuterie this little place is perfect for you!

Who could have imagined that Simard (the D is silent) and Co could get even more heavenly. Well, it did. As of 12.6.19, this Nyack gem now has a wonderful bistro of wine, cheese and charcuterie-the eclectic selection is well thought out, delicious and sublime. Cow, Sheep & Goat cheeses populate the blackboard menu. Interesting sides include, anchovies, olives, cornichon, and Macon's almonds. Special additions on this day were, wagyu beef, iberico jamon, and parmigiana stratavechio. The charcuterie menu which we didn't take part in featured: prosciutto Di parma, chorizo iberico, acorn fed mon serrano, dodge city salumi nudja and soppressata. Wine for every cheese at your enjoyment. A little bit of France can be found on S Broadway in Nyack on Hudson - Bon Appetit

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. If you're in the Nyack area I highly recommend stopping by Simard & Co. Both Joe & Scott are very knowledgeable about the items they sell but additionally are so kind, hospitable, and loads of fun. If you are ever with a group I highly recommend doing a custom tasting at the shop. You are able to pick cheese, meat, wine and more. Our girl group had a blast and cannot wait to go back!

Delicious take out salad. A bit pricey -- Manhattan prices without Manhattan. Perhaps a positive for some, and a negative for others.

Some of my local go-to lunch spots were closed today because of snow, so I popped in to Simard and Co for a sandwich.

The dishes that this team puts together in that kitchen are absolutely magical and filled with flavor. I discovered them a few years ago when I had a craving for fresh homemade pasta. The pasta is made fresh daily and also sold by the pound for take home meals. I don't get the pleasure of dining in often because it's always packed when I visit but this time there was a lonely table waiting for me. The restaurant is small and intimate. Casual but perfect for a date night or solo dining. In the summertime they have picnic tables outside to dine at as well. The focaccia bread is made in house daily and is served warm with a drizzle of good olive oil and flakey salt. Don't ever skip out on the bread!! The cucumber salad was inspiring. The cucumbers were served on a bed of hazelnut fava bean hummus??? Excuse me? My mouth is still watering from looking at the photos. It was so fresh and tangy. The pasta dish was warm, filling and cozy. It settled in all the right places and makes you feel warm and fuzzy. The chocolate chip cookies are also a must!! I'm not sure if they use cake flour or something because the cookies are crunchy on the edges but think and chewy once warmed up. They are not skimping on the chocolate inside either! Overall my meal was perfect, I cannot wait to dine here again to taste the love and magic that goes into each dish. PS- the menu is mostly seasonal so try what you can before the menu changes!

I love this pasta shop so much and can't wait to be back in Nyack to enjoy another one of their incredible pasta dishes. Be sure to try their piccolo negroni (absolutely incredible!) or if you're feeling something more light go for the not a spritz, you will not regret hehe. Upon entering, it feels like you're in a local mom & pop shop in Mexico. The decor and tables are vibrant and colorful. Not only do they sell hot food but items you'd find in a Mexican supermarket as well. The complimentary Chips & Salsa were super tasty; the chips were warm & crisp and the salsa was fresh & mild. The tacos are massive and loaded with toppings! The Carne Asada Tacos were savory, smoky, and flavorful. The toppings provided some freshness and balance to each bite. The Fish Tacos were a good try but less enjoyable. Although the fish was fried perfectly, it was unseasoned; a little salt & pepper would have went a long way. There was also way too much lettuce that masked the fish and the tomatoes were a bit unnecessary too. I loved the orange sauce it came with however! We tried both sauces (green & red) which were absolutely delicious and a must add! All in all, great try. Stick with the meats when you come here and enjoy some tacos!
