I live in San Francisco and make sure to visit this restaurant every time we're in town. The pizza is incredible! The baking process comes from Italy and it's very specific. Had a couples dinner at Mille Luci last night. Our friends had been there a couple of times already and wanted us to try it. We walked in and the first thing I noted is the intimacy of the setting. Truly a cozy and beautiful restaurant. All of the staff were friendly and professional throughout the meal. Our waitress was especially good, she had a strong knowledge of their menu and had developed favorites to recommend. We had the burrata appetizer and the cheese and meat antipasto for appetizers. We also had Caesar salad and the arugula salad. The burrata is a highlight, it's definitely high quality. Everything was solid quality. My friend and I shared two feet of pizza. The Snow White was excellent ricotta and hot honey and the Pesto Scamorza had great smoked provolone flavor. The crust itself is quite good. We also had one gluten free pizza. We were pretty full but the desserts were too tempting to pass up. The waitress let us know that the owner gets the cannolis from a Brooklyn bakery, they were outstanding. The pistachio ricotta cake was also a hit! If I had to recommend anything, it would be finding a way to add grilled chicken, shrimp, and steak options to the salads. To start, we had the Caesar salad and garlic zeppoles. The salad had a generous amount of shaved Parmesan on it, as well as a few anchovies, which I like. The zeppoles had nice little mounds of minced garlic parsley mix on top, and some great marinara. For pizza, we got a 1 foot margarita, and a 2 foot vodka margarita with sausage and onions. Both were superb, with great cheese, and a nice crispy undercarriage. The onions were finely diced and sprinkled evenly, and the sausage was quite tasty. We finished with some mini cannolis that appeared to be freshly filled for us. Great service, appetizers and drinks arrived promptly, with the pizza coming like 15 mins following that. Best Pizza in Rockland! The pizza by the footb is a great concept, saw a few large groups getting 4 ft pies. We got the Nonna's Meatballs to start, they were great. We then got the San Daniele, which was delicious. For desert, we split a peice of ricotta cake and a couple of cappucinos, delicious and perfectly made. Great Service. Searched on line for a restaurant in the vicinity of our hotel and came across this hidden gem. We are originally from.Brooklyn and have eaten our share of pizzas.
