Have had Grandma pies & regular cheese pies from this pizzeria. Both are good. Any time I have been there, those working there have been friendly and helpful. read more

Pies were delicious. One of the best pizzas in Rockland. Everything was ready and on time for pickup, and even helped me out to the car.

I hadn't been to Pakulas since 2010ish - and I'm happy to report that it's STILL the best pizza in New City. I had a margherita slice, and penne slice; both were delish. What's also cool about this place is the staff. These guys are incredibly friendly, and talk about some really funny/interesting stuff. I spied some Sicilian slices that looked fire; I'll try those next time. read more

I always get my salad from Pakulas. Everything is fresh. The grandma Pizza slice is the best I have tasted: 10/10. Service is quick, and they also deliver. The owner is chill and he is always there. read more

I grew up nearby so when this spot opened I gave it I shot and I remember it not being great. Tonight I was stopping by a place nearby so out of convenience I gave it another shot. Not good. The pictures speak for themselves. The Buffalo chicken slice was only half covered in toppings (the rest is literally covered in NOTHING). Their plain cheese slice is completely floppy..no crisp. I will not be back. read more

I don't care what the other reviewers say. This is damn good pizza. Yes, the crust could stand to be a bit crispier, but the sauce is really good and the fact that the crust is not super thick like other pizzas in the area, will keep me a regular customer. read more

The food is not consistent at Pakula's.I ordered an eggplant parmigiana wrap which is common Italian dish. The young man felt comfortable giving me very dried eggplant with no sauce, a chunk of unmelted cheese with 3 pieces of roasted peppers. Totally disappointed. read more

Pakulas Pizza - a slice of pizza on a paper plate - Pizza Near Me - New City, New York

Just got a plain slice , i know things got expensive but it doesn't justify the pizza being paper thin with NO CHEESE or barley any sauce. I asked for another slice and got the same outcome. I'd rather pay more money for a real slice not a piece of paper thin dough. read more

needs better quality of food and improve service. Made with fake cheese, comes all orange, floppy, chewy and pretty much all grease. 0/10, strongly advise against spending money at this place. read more

I got to try a whole lot of pizzas from Pakulas at a family event. We must have ordered over fifteen pies. Honestly all of them were very good. The waffle fries pizza was certainly the most unique. The flavor was robust and made for a very filling pizza. My favorite though was the sausage pizza. I have no idea what kind of sausage they use but they should keep using it! I'll also give a shoutout to that meatball slice. The plain pizza is plain. Get toppings man! read more

Rude manager and, by proxy, bad service. And try to keep the place clean. Never ever again.

Ordered as pizza delivered to our home. They seemed busy when I phoned but pizza was at my door in 35 minutes!! Solid pizza! Would order again. read more

Picked up a pizza with mushrooms and green peppers Very good pizza. We we're looking for a Pakulas bakery which was in this location many moons ago but I'm glad we found this pizza place instead read more

This was our first time ordering from here and we were impressed!! We ordered a Sicilian pie (1/2 pepperoni) and jalapeño poppers, both were delish! We'll be ordering again! read more

From the food to the service even inside the store everything is excellent. honestly might be the best pizzeria in new city.

I highly recommend! All of the food is outstanding, and the lasagna is too good to be from this planet. I promise you will not be disappointed with the quality and the taste of the food. read more

Pakula's is ALWAYS on point! They have the same amazing quality all the time. Their salads are AMAZING. I'm changing their name to "Awesome Salads" And they always deliver earlier than promised! Keep up the good work guys! read more

The fresh pizza was stellar and the delivery was fast and hot. The price was great too. The meat pizza had what i like to call "midwestern" sausage, not at all like New York Pizza sliced sausage. More the frozen, fast food kind. If they'd done the good stuff I'd be giving 5 stars for sure! read more

Good pizza from this place! We tried 2 different varieties of square pies. Both were absolutely amazing. read more

Pakulas is my go to place for pizza, food and salads. Rob and the rest of the management and staff are always friendly and the food is always fresh. My family and friends always go Pakulas. Good pizza! We ordered three different pies and the delivery was relatively quick. We got a plain pie, a waffle fry pie, and BBQ chicken. The BBQ chicken was definitely a good choice. Overall, no complaints. Definitely order from here! read more

This place has great sandwiches for an excellent price. I had the shrimp parmigiana and my friend had the chicken parmigiana sandwich. Both were great. The hero roll was perfectly toasted. The sauce and cheese were great. They didn't skimp on the portions. Service was fine also. read more

I am giving Pakulas an average rating due to their pizza. Ordered a large pie with half plain and the other half with two toppings. The pizza crust was good, as well as the toppings, but what brought the whole thing down was the cheese. Biting into the slice brought back memories of the lunchroom pizza in my high school. Basically a rubbery, tasteless mess. Since I live close by I will give them another try, maybe one of their specialty pies or sandwiches. read more

I work in the area, I called in a lunch order a house salad with chicken cutlet & a BREADED chicken cutlet with mozzarella & roasted peppers wedge, the salad was correct but the wedge came with grilled chicken, I don't mean to be a pain in the ass, but I WANT what I order, I want what I order, I'm paying for it, so I sent it back, 20 mins later they dropped off the correct order, only problem was they just added a couple of pieces of breaded chicken cutlet on top & placed the grilled on the bottom, so I blew $8.00 because I threw it in the garbage. NEVER EVER AGAIN will I go there. read more

Ordered for the first time and it was good. I ordered the pan pizza and the crust was fluffy and the cheese was good. Will definitely order again, will order something different...maybe the Chicago deep dish. read more

Mmmmmmm, stopped in here and ordered a slice. Then I had another. Really wanted to go for the trifecta but I was too full. Their pizza is delicious and judging from the way the rest of the food looked, I was more than impressed. The only problem is that I was in the area for a specific reason and they're far from home. If they were closer, they would absolutely be my regular pizza place. Kudos. Can't wait to stop in again next time I'm in the area. read more

Best pizza in all of Rockland. Have the buffalo chicken pizza or the margarita slice. The garlic knots are heaven. Don't forget to try the fricken chicken. This is the home of the fricken chicken. Tell 'em Rob sent ya. Or Jeff. read more

The Firecracker slice (bacon, onions, fra diavolo spicy sauce) will knock your socks off! When you're done being naughty with that slice, have a Grandma slice, that is also a gem. Can't go wrong with the specialty slices. Chicken Caesar salad pretty good as well. Good service. read more

Great pizza. Definition of NY thin crust. Tried eggplant, white pizza, cheese, mushroom and onion and pepperoni. Outstanding. A real treat. I highly recommend Pakulas. I wish we had a place this good where I live. read more

Rob and Matt and the whole staff are always friendly and make delicious food. Always trying new and exciting creations. Was recommended to this spot when I worked in the area about 10-12 years ago and still drive 20 mins out of the way from my home to get their high quality and delicious food. They have so many great pizza creations, amazing sandwiches, dinner entrees, and an incredible, extremely fresh choose your own salad bar with so many options. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place. Their sandwich platters are great for any occasion. Everyone I recommend gets hooked. read more

Pakulas is an awesome little pizza place in New City! I have tried a number of their different pizzas and have never had a slice that I didn't like. They also have a great salad area to where you can choose your own ingredients to make your own salad. The rest of the menu is quite good too with a number of selections, but I would recommend the Freakin Chicken...very tasty! The staff is also attentive and great to talk to. Definitely one of the better pizza places in New City and Rockland overall, go check them out! read more

About 6 yeas ago we became aware of a new business that had opened in our town of New City, N.Y. As a lifelong resident of Rockland County of a certain age, the name Pakula"s conjures memories of incredible sugary smells, the best Birthday Cakes (my favorite, the Tropical Custard Pie) and trips to the bakery and the Kosher Deli next door for hot dogs and Pastrami sandwiches on special occasions. So when I saw the name Pakula's, I hoped that this iconic and long closed Bakery had been resurrected. When I discovered that this iteration of Pakula's was a Pizza restaurant I admit to feeling disappointed but my hopes were lifted when picking up a pizza I learned that one of the owners was indeed the grandson of owners of the Bakery. So, they make consistently very good to excellent pizzas and we keep going back to soothe that pizza itch. But this past Father's Day I decided to use Pakula's to cater our gathering. All the food (garlic knots, chicken Francese, sausage-onions and peppers, Penne ala Vodka, Eggplant Parmesan, chicken wings and a garden salad were fresh, hot on delivery(not the salad) and delicious. It was a pleasure to not cook for the day and most importantly, each of my guests was happy with the food. While we will continue to get our weekly pizza from Pakula's, but I heartily recommend their food and will not hesitate from ordering food for parties in the future. 2 Hoover read more

I want to love this place, but I just can't. The pizza is great, but it's so filthy and dirty inside that I just can't get past that. If you don't care that the place is filthy and the service is rude, then by all means enjoy! read more
