a slice of pizza on a plate
    Joe P.

Decent plain slices but I prefer toppings. I got the buffalo chicken and while it wasn't bad by any means, there are other local options that provide far more chicken on their slice. I'm local so I'm sure I'll be back at some point.

    Gluten free white pizza

The new owners are great. I got a gluten free white pizza and they were so careful with my food. It even comes with a plastic pizza cutter so you can be sure the food wasn't touched with anything contaminating! I love their pizza and everyone is very friendly and easygoing.

    Burnt wings- don't go here

I had heard great reviews of this place and was looking forward to the pizza, to my dismay, I was thoroughly disappointed. The pizza was subpar at best and the wings were burnt. Definitely not going back there! Honestly speaking no self respecting Restaurant would serve a customer this!

    Extra large cheese pie. Yum!!

Nicky's 2 is absolutely my favorite pizza place in Rockland County. I constantly order from them because the food is amazing and the staff is really nice( something other pizza places in Congers don't have). I had ordered an extra large pizza, which was ready when they said it would be and was delicious. They never disappoint when I order from them. Their chicken Marsala roll is absolute bliss and their sweet Marion sandwich is really good too. If you're ever in Congers, I would defiantly stop at Nicky's 2!

Best pizza in rockland county, had a great lunch. Salad slice and a pepperoni slice, both were really good. Will be back.

I have had both the pizza and the chicken and pasta dishes and it is the best I have had in Rockland so far.

First off, inside is very spacious with lots of indoor and a few outdoor seating. The place is well maintained and clean. It gives off a western vibe with its wooden interior and bull decorations. At the same time, it maintains a form of elegance with the nice tables. Ambiance rate 7.5/10. My family and I ordered... 1. Fried Calamari: This appetizer was okay, tasted like it's classic dish. Rate 7/10. 2. Filet Mignon Quesadillas: This appetizer was very delicious! The meat was very tender and the tortilla wrap was nice and crispy! Rate 10/10. 3. Rack of Lamb: This dish was upsetting because there wasn't a lot of meat on the rack. Plus, it wasn't cooked to my liking. The sauce was okay, nothing special. Rate 5/10. 4. Rib Eye Steak: This dish was very disappointing since it wasn't cooked to our liking. Plus, the meat was very chewy. However, the presentation of the dish was nice. Rate 3/10. 5. Porterhouse Steak: This dish was mediocre considering it wasn't cooked to our liking. Plus, it was very bland. However, the way they presented it by cutting, grilling, and serving it at the table was great! Rate 5/10. 6. Creamed Spinach This side did not taste good because the cheese tasted spoiled, and it had a very soupy like texture. Rate 4/10. 7. Parmesan Truffle Fries: These were very unsatisfying since I didn't even taste a single drop of truffle. Rate 2/10. It's important to note that all our specialty meats were all cooked well done when we ordered it to be medium to medium rare. The staff were very nice. However, the service was extremely slow. It took about 45 minutes for our main entrées to come out. This was surprising considering we were the only people in the restaurant during our meal. Staff/service rate 5/10. Overall, I wouldn't come back to this steakhouse due to the mediocrity and insipid taste of the dishes we ordered.

What really set it apart was the live cooking station--fresh pupusas were being made right before my eyes. I couldn't resist and ended up devouring six pupusas; I was so stuffed I could barely move! I came with my family on a rainy Sunday, and although the parking lot was initially quiet, the place quickly filled up. We were warmly greeted by a hostess who explained that the meal included unlimited OJ, apple juice, and coffee (soft drinks and alcohol were extra). I ordered four birria tacos and four pupusas (two cheese and two mixta). They took about 10 minutes to prepare, but from my very first bite I was hooked. The tortillas were perfectly crispy without being overdone, and the hot filling, tangy slaw, and zesty red sauce were a match made in heaven. I even managed to squeeze in a waffle before ordering two more pupusas. The ambiance is fantastic--with bright, eye-catching art, a spacious layout, and impeccable cleanliness, it's become my new Sunday brunch go-to spot. The friendly staff truly make you feel at home, and the deal is unbeatable for anyone with a hearty appetite. My only regret? Not pacing myself! 5/5 stars - a must-visit for fresh, delicious pupusas and a fantastic brunch experience.

This Asian fusion spot in a nondescript plaza has a large menu with a lot of small plates/street food, baos (with varying fillings), tacos/quesadillas/tostadas, curry, traditional Asian dishes, poutine, burgers, noodles like pad thai and plenty of veg-friendly items. We most enjoyed the chicken empanadas (generous filling, good flavor), cod tacos, and vegetarian spring rolls. The tofu lettuce wrap didn't have a strong flavor even though it seemed to have a lot of sauce. The beef Jerky (a bit tough and chewy) and vegetarian dumplings were okay, but not favorite items. We didn't order any items that were larger portion and it's very easy to rack up the bill with $9-12 small bites. Inside, you could forget that you're in suburbia because this place is pretty trendy. There's artwork and words on the wall and the menu tries to be clever (succeeds in some ways but not necessarily to grammar snobs). There's a 3% surcharge for credit card purchases. There's a Chinese food restaurant and Taimoca coffee place in the plaza as well.

Going inside Grass Roots Kitchen was a breath of fresh air. The aesthetics put me in the mind of earth day and such beautiful paintings on the wall and flowers and greenery throughout. Grass Roots Kitchen offers have high tops dining as well as, regular dining, and outside dining. The dining area is pretty large, length wise and beautifully attractive. I ordered the egg and cheese biscuit with the help of the cashier, I didn't get her name and it's on the receipt but I threw it out. Even though this was not a vegan dish, who could pass on a collosal cheese biscuit. The egg was a nice accompaniment to this cheese biscuit also. The lady that gave me the biscuits said, wow! That smells nice. I thought she was giving me a compliment on the order until I sniffed the bag. Normally I don't do well with my sense of smell but, boy oh boy! That was a gooooooood smelling biscuit. And the taste, it tastes so good, it makes you want to slap yo momma. (Don't do it, it just makes you want to slap her.) You order at the register and they call out your name when your food is ready. They have a ton of vegan/vegetarian options, as well as a great breakfast/brunch menu. I ordered the egg and cheese biscuit. The cheddar jalapeño biscuit was delicious. It was buttery and dense. The flavors were mild, but the sandwich was the perfect portion size. I also got a side of the vegan bacon. It was rubbery and tough to chew. Would not recommend. My husband enjoyed the breakfast burrito. We also shared the buffalo cauliflower. The cauliflower pieces were well coated in buffalo sauce and very flavorful. I also got the Don't Kale Me juice. It was tangy, citrusy, and refreshing. The Deep Roots smoothie was also quite tasty. They have free self-serve water and the employees were quick to wipe down tables so they were clean for the next party. Looking forward to coming again!
