Review for takeout only: a satisfying meal, ready when we arrived, and standard pricing. We enjoyed the vegetable ramen (a bit salty) and the shrimp tempura rice bowl - and loved the takeout packaging. They also have donburi, appetizers and other similar items. On a Saturday evening, there were a healthy number of customers in the establishment and the space looked clean and modern. The parking lot is shared with other places like Job lot, Chinese takeout, and near Wendy's.
It been a while since I've been back. Don't know what stopped me from eating here? My son and I had lunch, started with the fried octopus . He ordered the eel donburi and I the spicy beef ramen. The octopus light, crispy and just a light chew to the octopus. Yummy . My ramen was PLENTIFUL. The broth had just enough kick it didn't scorch my palette. So much fatty tender beef but I was expected more so a braised type meat, still delicious. The eel donburi looked good. I guess it was because my son ate everything except the lettuce. Staff was pleasant, brought the food to the table and attentive to clear any empty plates.

Ordered takeout here with a friend of mine. We ended up getting the same dish. The steak bowl. The steak was tender, and cooked well but wasnt as flavorful as I expected, but was decent. Came with miso soup as a side. The presentation was nice, packaged in a warming bag so it stayed warm, for traveling with it back to her house. Service was quick and ordering was made easy. Will definitely try other things here based on experience and ease.
Umi Ramen in Nanuet was pretty good. I had the chicken karaage, which was crispy but a little dry. The ramen was decent, and the noodles had a nice bite, but I wish the broth had more flavor. Since ramen depends a lot on the broth, it makes a big difference. There is plenty of parking in front. Service was okay, but I wish they checked on us more for water. Overall, not bad. For the area you can go wrong. Price is decent too.
Visited Umi Ramen with a group of 5. It was a weekend so everywhere was busy, and we had a wait time. Upon getting seated the area was clean and the waitress was very attentive to our needs. We started with a couple appetizers and then moved onto the ramen. The food was good, and so was the service. They also had specialty lemonade and bubble tea. Would def go back and would recommend
Pleasantly surprised with ingredients and how well it was prepared. Tender perfect noodles. Pork was cooked perfectly. Broth was intense. Very reasonable definitely will be coming back
ordered take out from here through grub hub and was impressed! food was prepared quickly and arrived hot in the most adorable take out container. I really enjoyed the flavor of the broth and the egg was delicious. Definitely will order from here again.
I got the spicy miso ramen.......best I've ever had. Smokey flavored miso with the perfect kick. All the interns were great. It really was the best ramen I've ever had and I've had enough ramen from enough ramen places. The 4 stars rather than five comes from the other things my party got. One person got the fried tempura which was good......I don't know why anyone would get that for an entree but they did. The other one was the boneless fried chicken.....it had some funny name. This was disappointing because it had so much potential......great flavor. But like do many Asian places the fried outside to chicken inside ratio was no good. It was like popcorn chicken. Get the ramen!
Found a great ramen spot in Rockland!! If you guys never tried this place yet, then you're missing out! First off when we came in we were able to immediately sat down, server put in together 2 tables as we were 6 people. After that he gave us a moment to order food. We were starving after a flight. We ordered drinks, apps and of course Ramen. After few minutes our drinks arrived followed by our appetizers takoyaki,edamame and pork gyoza (forgot to take pics as we were again starving) Waited maybe 10 mins or less then our ramen arrived. When I tell you they put a lot in there they really did put a lot in there! Our server was very attentive and pays attention to our needs. The staffs was very welcoming as well. Ambiance was nice, the place is very welcoming and cozy! We finally found our new favorite spot!! Their milk teas and fruit juices taste so much better than other places too! My mom who is a very picky eater loved this place!
My daughter and I, both vegetarian, were pleasantly surprised with this little place. We were a bit disappointed at first, since their menu only offered one vegetarian Ramen, and most of their appetizers were also meat-centric. When I suggested ordering the only vegetarian starter - seaweed salad, my daughter was unconvinced - "it's usually just a tiny mouthful, and not worth the money." It wasn't a tiny mouthful after all: the seaweed salad came on a bed of chopped romaine lettuce, giving it quite a bulk, and tasted good! The romaine lettuce well cushioned the strong vinegary taste of the seaweed. We each ordered a bowl of their vegetarian Ramen (the one and only choice for us anyway), and became truly convinced that sometimes limited choice meant a higher quality :-). The broth was made with soy milk, miso and ground sesame seeds, just like how I would have cooked it at home, and tasted fresh and delicious. The noodles wore a healthy green color (spinach juice) and were smooth with a good bouncy bite. It was a substantial meal, with lots of goodies - Tofu, Menma (bamboo shoots), tree mushroom, and chunks of crunchy broccoli. After tasting the chilli sauce on the table, I decided that this place was run by Chinese, which was confirmed by our friendly waitress. I will definitely bring the Ramen loving carnivores of my family here to taste their non-vegetarian choices!

At first I was fearful they would have basic flavors and seasonings, but they clearly take the time to make everything on their menu. As I was dealing with that, the store called me to inform me my order was ready for pickup and I stated that I was having car issues and would try to make it before closing (this was at 9:15 and they closed at 10:00 p.m.). They were understanding and said to take my time. They immediately called me back and said they would just deliver the food for me!! They didn't have to do that, but they did. This speaks volumes to the level of courtesy and kindness the owner and the employees have for their guests. It was an extremely kind gesture that I wouldn't have ever expected from a business owner. I am deeply grateful for their help. The owner even asked me if I needed additional help for my car. Simply incredibly kind and courteous people. THANK YOU!! If you are on the fence about going, just go and let their food and kindness speak for itself.
Umi Ramen is enjoyable! I ordered the ton nyu ramen (vegan) and it was pretty good! The vegetable medley, noodles, and abundant amounts of tofu stole the show! The soy broth was slightly bland, but it was to my liking since ramens I've tried in the past have been too salty/artificially flavored. The price was reasonable for the portions too. I've yet to try the bubble teas or any other menu items, but I would like to return to give them a try! The staff were super quick and friendly. Additionally, I liked the decor, lighting, and busy atmosphere. Overall, Umi Ramen is a cute place. My noodle soup's flavor fell short, but it was still tasty and worth returning when you're in the mood for a big bowl of noodles on a rainy/cold day!

I tried the eel bowl (grill eel don) this time and it was a nice alternative from bowls of ramen. Decent amount of eel, nothing chewy and tasted great. That said, it doesn't look like the picture on the menu... The rest of my family all got miso ramen bowls and enjoyed them. Consistent preparations here keep customers happy. Bubble teas were also loved by the kids. Service was speedy and attentive. Plenty of seating throughout on a weekday evening. Casual and tasty. read more

Umi has more than just great ramen. The food here is simply delicious and done right. I don't know how but they end up having perfect avocados each time I go. The service is great and quick. The atmosphere is simple but relaxing. They play relaxing music as well. It's a cute place. The lemonades are also bomb af! read more
Food is good. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen, it was pretty tasty, glad that there's a Ramen restaurant in town. Also had Rock shrimp and Tempura for appetizers. They were crispy as expected. I had a hot green tea to drink, it came in a to go cup which is great. Service was okay and ambiance made me feel like I was somewhere else and was different with all the wood. read more

3/5 Spicy Miso Ramen The spicy miso I got was good but nothing special. It hit the spot as far as satisfying my hunger. A solid dish to get. This place is good for a nice warm noodle soup. Broth is full of flavor. Bubble tea is ok. Not the best and way too sweet but it might be because I ordered the brown sugar and I'm use to being able to adjust the sugar level in other bubble tea shops. Ramen was full of flavor. The ambience is nice, relaxed and casual. read more

as soon as i walked in staff was helpful and directed me. Super friendly and attentive coming back every so often for refills or requests. the ambiance was nothing to note as it wasnt eye catch nor offensive. I picked the rock shrimp and tempura as an app (safe bet and was delicious as expected). as a main i did the tonkastsu pork ramen (same it was delicious and as expected). We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The food came pretty quickly. For apps, we ordered chicken buns- which was ok and the rock shrimp was good. The Shoyu pork Ramen was delicious. Broth was nice and savory and I didn't think it needed any more toppings. What was provided was ample and filling. The soup was refreshing on this somewhat cool day. They also have a ramen noodle bowl option for kids, which included noodles with broth only. My kid loved it! All in all, we are pleased to have a delicious ramen noodle spot around the area. We just tried for the first time and really liked it. Hard to find good ramen around here. The staff was pleasant. Our food was ready on time. The place has ample seating and nice decor. The flavors in the ramen we ordered were delicious. We had one seafood ramen and two tonkatsu ramen. We ordered chili oil on the side to spice it up. The seafood ramen came fully loaded with seafood and veggies. The tonkatsu had lots of good stuff in it too, maybe would add a tad more pork. Additional items are available to add on for a few more bucks. 3 ramen bowls cost us $46 with a 1st time order coupon and tip. All in all we enjoyed it and will be going back. read more

Well, I came to this place 2 times in a hope that my first experience was just me got unlucky but NO, it's the service and attitude of the shop I came first time about 2 weeks ago. No one greeted, there was a guy making boba in the counter and a guy server. I sat down for a good 3 mins but no one came and asked nothing. I ended up had to come to the bar and order my food. But, there were a group of 4 that came after and they got food first. I be like this is racism. I ordered 2 portions not 1 so OK, in case someone think my order is smaller. I got frustrated but then I think ok they're newly open and I will give another shoot. I came in today, again there are a guy making boba in the bar and the same server just standing there playing on his phone. I was talking with my friend and constantly looking at them trying to get there attention but hell no, they looked at me as if I am just sitting there for fun. For about 5 mins, I asked them can I order some food, and then the server came and tell me "you have to let me know if you want to order food!!?" Really boy! What in the world I came to a restaurant and I ask for gas, or bananas?or what? When you see a customer you have to come and ask them what they need, that's what they call customers service. Then I told them "I been sitting here and want to order" There are another group of 4-5 white people came in and then the sever came out and serve them so nicely...so that's unequal to me. I paid the same money. I left them tips always even tho they treat me like I don't deserve there business. On top of that, they made my food so cold and salty. They do not want my business. That's fine. Then there are many restaurants around here will have it. As an Asian myself trying to support Asian business, I don't think this shop treat their customers with gratitude and respect.
