They do have bottled soda but the selection is somewhat limited. They accept credit cards over the phone and yes they do add a % for using a card. Staff is very friendly. Place inside is nothing to write home about (it's a takeout place) but it is very clean which is more important than how it's decorated.

I recently stopped by Dumpling House in New City and left with mixed feelings. There is a lot to like here, but a few things kept it from being a place I would go out of my way to revisit. The service was excellent throughout. Staff were friendly, attentive, and the restaurant itself was clean, comfortable, and modern. The hot matcha tea was also a nice touch and paired well with the meal. As for the food, the standout dishes were the spicy green beans, which were excellent and probably the best thing we ordered, along with the pork belly bao buns. The soup dumplings were also quite good, arriving hot and intact with a flavorful broth inside. The soy garlic wings were another pleasant surprise, crispy and well seasoned. On the other hand, the beef noodle soup was disappointing. The broth lacked the depth and richness I was hoping for, and it was the weakest dish of the meal. My biggest issue is the value. As someone accustomed to eating Chinese food in Queens, the prices felt high relative to the quality and portion sizes. The food was good, but not exceptional enough to justify the premium pricing. If you're in Rockland County and looking for dumplings, it is a solid option. If you're comparing it to the Chinese food available in Flushing or other parts of Queens, it is harder to recommend at these prices. read more

The bean curd dishes were okay but nothing special. After we added some chili sauce (ours, not theirs), it was okay, but still nothing much. As I write this, I'm thinking maybe we won't order from them again. When I started this review, I'd forgotten about the carrots. Yech.

The total came to $46, and the wait was about 15 minutes. When my food was ready, I was asked what sauces I wanted. I said, "Give me all of them," and they delivered. The bag was so hot I could feel the warmth on the ride home. Once served, it was a feast! The star of the show was the rice fried and white. My mother enjoyed the white rice and her sesame chicken, while Jo savored her boneless spare ribs and rice--perfectly cooked and not overly sauced. I asked for extra spice in my General Tso's chicken, and they nailed it. The chicken was well-done, and the extra chili sauce I requested was clearly visible in the dish. I was sold. The egg roll was delicious on its own, and even better as the last bite with a dab of duck sauce. We all commented on how good the rice was--the veggies tasted fresh, and nothing lacked flavor. The tostones were lightly salted, which is rare, and this alone elevated the meal to another level. It was takeout so good that I can't wait for the leftovers--and yes, there were definitely leftovers. This is a 5/5 star takeout experience you need to try.
