I tried Great Wall because they offer the classic, yet hard to find, "half fried chicken", which I got with pork fried rice. Two orders actually... We also tried some lo mein and chicken with broccoli. The lo mein was smokey and tasty. Chicken and broccoli also good. However, the whole reason I went there was for that chicken - and it was dreadful! Both orders were dry as $#@&. It was like old, frozen double fried chicken that got fried again before being served. We received the order in a timely matter but omg the food was awful: Shrimp rolls were very greasy Sesame noodles were warm not cold and they had a gloopy sauce and no scallion or cucumber garnish Mooshu vegetables: the hoisin sauce was too thick and it smelled like feet Seriously ... worst Chinese food ever! Food's nondescript American Chinese, but then, they're cooking to American taste. Service was quick, polite and they accepted credit cards. I would recommend Ocean Empire off exit 14 PIP in Pomona. read more

They always get my order right and always include fortune cookies and sliced orange as a little treat. They will make all dinner to order and are pretty fast on the delivery as well. The food here is great, always a quality meal. That is of course if you pick it up. I've been ordering here for close to 10 years, heck they even know our order when we call. But I can not deal anymore with delivery times of 60+ minutes EVERY TIME. Today, a Tuesday I placed an order 75 minutes ago and still no food. Great Wall ..... NOT SO GREAT ANYMORE. I have been going to Great Wall for years. The food was in my opinion the best in the area. But then the owners changed. The food was ok. More of a hit than a miss. Except for last night. I ordered the usual beef and broccoli, chicken with snow peas, pork lo mein shrimp with garlic sauce and egg rolls. The beef and broccoli was thrown out immediately. I opened the container and the odor that came off of it, I knew something was bad. The filling of the egg rolls Also did not taste right. My daughter had the same experience with her egg roll. The lo mein was bland. The shrimp and garlic sauce was ok, but I am seriously wondering if that was the culprit that kept me up most of the night with stomach pain. It's time I find a new place to get take out from. I live right near Golden Mushroom and having had enough of their sub par everything I went in search of a new Chinese restaurant for the staples. I'm so glad I found this place tucked away off RT 303. The food is so delicious and light. That heavy feeling you get from eating greasy Chinese food is a problem of the past!
