My pad Thai tasted like barbecue sauce...... Not how I was expecting my noodles to taste, so yeah I'm disappointed. I got tofu as the protein, and it was deceptive. The tofu was brown but it was soft, not crispy. I like a good crunch on my tofu. Also the take out container was small! Definitely less than what I would have been served if I dined in. I'm so glad I found this place! I was going to the one in Nyack downtown but it was closed between lunch and dinner hours. I found this place was still open so decided to walk in. The place isn't too big so it has a cozy feel to it. There's one lady who seems to do everything there. She was friendly and efficient. I ordered from the lunch special and got the drunken noodle and my sister got the chicken soup. We started off with curry chicken puffs which were great. Crispy, fluffy, with curry flavor that goes perfectly with the sweet dipping sauce. My sister liked her chicken soup with noodle. My drunken noodle was a flavor bomb and it definitely brought some heat!! Unfortunately the noodles were overcooked, so they had no chew. We also ordered the coconut cups and they were light and not too sweet. I needed these after the spicy noodles. I will definitely go back, but I'll try a rice dish next time. read more

Yelp says they're supposed to be open tonight. We drove all the way over here 15 to 20 minutes and they are closed.

The other day I called in my order. I usually get the drunken noodles with beef and chicken. I picked up my order, drove all the way home to realize they didn't add the chicken but I was charged for it. So I call them and I speak to some kid name Brandon. I explain the issue. He said that I could drive back which I was not doing because I don't live in the area and I stopped there on my way home. I told him that I was charged for the chicken. He apologized and asked me my name, then he said next time the chicken drunken noodles will be on the house, cool. I recorded a video so that I had proof of the meal and dedicated the conversation right after as evidence because I know how weird people can be. Anyway, I called a couple of days later he said he didn't know what I was talking about. He ( Brandon/Bryant) said he never said anything like that and he would have to call the owner. I explained to him that I had recorded a video and if the owner wanted me to send it to her, I was more than willing to do so. I asked him if he wasn't authorized to give on the house orders due to their mistakes why would he tell me that. He then says uhhhhh I don't remember. I've been going there for about 6 years and I will never go back. They are not honest and that really really annoyed me. Plus they took my money without giving me the correct order. Also, they changed the portion sizes I took like 5 bites from the new black bowls and my meal was done, and I was still hungry and I'm a small girl. It was a bummer since I am used to having customization, especially since I previously was a boba secret menu creator. Thankfully, I was in a Thai tea mood. My wife and I have been here many times. The space is tiny, but the service is excellent. Make a reservation. Plus they do a huge takeout business too, and somehow keep it all moving along. Prices are very reasonable. As for the food, it is easily the best Thai food we've ever had, and we are old enough to have been eating this cuisine for a long time. The Tom yum soup is out of this world. The portion is enough for 2-3 people, so you might wind up taking some home. We've had multiple dishes, and they are all fresh and delicious. Be aware. There are three levels of spice. I think it was nursery school, high school, and possibly burn through your stomach and belly button. I love spicy and asked for high school. That level is more than spicy enough - it was a bit more than I would have preferred - and I am okay with some Vindaloos (I know that's Indian, but it is a reference). The best pad Thai I have had in a long time. It's not overly greasy and the spice is right on the money. The drunken noodles are really good as well. My wife discovered Zabb earlier this year and we have eaten there multiple times. We have NEVER had better Thai food. Don't miss their Tom Yum soup. The flavors are incredible and the veggie version - which we usually get - is chock full of vegetables and tofu. It is truly top notch. We've had multiple entrees as well and every one of them has been out of this world. Please note though that if an entree says it is spicy and you ask for high school level, high school in Thailand must be equivalent to a masters degree here, because it is hot. I love spicy, and this was near my limit. Serving sizes are not huge, but they are certainly not small. You will take food home if you get soup or an appetizer. This well-lit boutique restaurant serves truly authentic Thai fair. When ordering the papaya salad, we asked what it meant by "add Nam Plara" for an extra $2? The owner told us it was fish sauce, which could be too "pungent" for some people, hence the option. Well of course no papaya salad is complete without this "pungent" flair! We also asked for "authentic" Thai spiciness for our dishes. The papaya salad set our lips on fire, and the heat simply stayed - no amount of ice water could persuade it to leave - which was a new experience for us. We asked the owner if she had some kind of yogurt drink to allay the burning sensation - no there wasn't any, and she took this as a sign that we didn't want such spiciness, so our main dishes came out very mild. Well next time we must clarify with her about that! I was frustrated that 1.5 hrs later (after being said it takes 45 minutes) is when they decided to call me and i made that clear. They say ok we'll substitute. I hang up, and they cancel the order. The owner hired my daughter to help serve and work in the kitchen. My daughter is organized, neat, hardworking and respectful. She worked 2 weekends. Five minutes before leaving for her 3rd weekend, the owner called and said 'I don't need you this weekend~ call me this week about next weekend's hours.' My daughter left 3 polite voicemails~ I heard her leave them~ and the owner never called back. My daughter was crushed. Apparently the owner is very nice to customers, but she needs to learn how to treat her staff well. Per your reply: I absolutely have the right restaurant. It appears you don't even remember having my daughter work for you for 4 days, canceling her next shifts, asking her to call you, then never returning her calls.
