It's OK if you are hungry and looking for a buffet place in the area. But I would not choose this as a place to make a memorable trip. Hiya, I always come here with my family. A family of five can literally eat here and eat till they are full, which is great. The bill is a bit... excessive for a little over $100 but I see why cause inflation, etc. The servers USED TO do a not so good job -- but NOW do a great job refilling drinks and making sure there are hot /cold plates of food to be served on the serve yourself buffet platters as soon as there is low food. The ambiance is probably chilling to some cause there isn't music playing in the background but I consider it chill--I like that there isn't music playing in the restaurant so you can hear your family members talk to you. The ambiance you want in a restaurant is yours to create. ALSO, I love their fish tanks, it's always nice to look at that when I come in or leave. I'm practically in love with their chicken skewers and sushi bar. I adore the hell out of their strawberry cake they make. For $13 lunch buffet, I would say this is a great value. You get what you are paying for. The ambiance is very basic, no frills. The food is comfortable to your typical Chinese take out: lo mein, chicken with broccoli, fried dumplings and egg rolls, but they also have a few sushi roll options as well as fruit and vanilla soft serve ice cream. Don't expect anything more than what you're paying for and you won't be disappointed! This is definitely NOT a date spot, but just a quick, cheap meal. They even had oysters on the half shell! The usual Chinese buffet selections; Shrimp, chicken, bbq ribs, crab legs and more. Plenty of fresh fruits as well as tasty desserts! As I traveled home, I enjoyed dining on one of the chickens-on-a-stick. When I reached my place and opened the container, a large roach jumped out! She has Dr's appointments up here that I am her Chauffeur for, and I'm gonna just lay it out here--- I don't think the Dr's are helping though, she's still a 10ft batsh** crazy Bronx Redhead! PIC usually goes up first to get her stuff and then picks the stuff out that can kill her, like shrimp, scallops, mushrooms and gosh knows what else- but she hasn't died yet, so we are good! HEYYYY (big thumbs up)!! I go for the soups, the veggies and the BBQ pork, the egg rolls and dim sum items, I basically try everything, to see if there is anything new I haven't had before with my usual favorites-- but then I get nice plate of the mussels and the clams and proceed to eat those babies to my hearts content. However, it never fails, and somewhere in between this, PIC has me go to the sushi bar area with her and point out what she can and can't eat. See what a good friend I am??? For YOU my Yelp friends who has seen PIC and I at Elite events that are +1, you know how we are, it's hard to miss us, we love life and it's quite comical at times. We usually spend a few hours here to eat and enjoy our food without rushing, just chilin' and getting caught up an life and also to let the traffic die down before we head back to home in NJ. Let me start with we had good food and everything tasted fresh. The welcoming when we entered was alright not very thrilled to see us come when we came in. While I was eating with my girlfriend her cup was empty and they filled it and mine was about to be empty and didn't even bother to fill it. Then while I went to pay I was going to leave and the waiter said "no tip?" and I was shocked that I was being asked when the service was not good. I have been going to this Buffet all my life! Literally never gets old, have eaten some of my best meals here! I can never complain about the sushi, it is super fresh and you can taste every individual ingredient in there, it isn't like mush like other sushi buffet places. it is extremely family friendly and is never too crowded. it is very spacious and comfortable. the sushi keeps me on my toes because every time i go, there are new delicious options! i recommend the sushi bar, the spicy chicken wings, chicken and broccoli, and the donuts. absolutely incredible place. hands down my favorite buffet. read more

For an Asian buffet in Rockland County, I would say this is definitely one of the better options out there, considering how there aren't many options to begin with. My parents and I have been coming here for years now and found that it survived well compared to other buffets that opened within its vicinity. I can tell while eating here that there are quite a few regulars here so it shows good traction. The service has always been nice and the variety and quality of food they offer is great! As for the food, they offer a variety of Japanese and Chinese food, both offering hot and cold bars. This includes egg drop soup, fried dumplings, egg rolls, fried rice, general tso chicken, bbq pork spare ribs, shrimp and broccoli, an extensive sushi bar, asparagus, sautéed string beans, canned and fresh fruit, dessert cakes and soft serve ice cream...just to name a few. All is pretty fresh and they refill the food constantly. If you are looking for something quick and easy and are in the area, I would give Hard Wok a try. Needless to say, this is one of my main options when eating out with parents who only prefer to eat Asian food. read more

Soo as a general rule of thumb, I like Chinese buffets. And at times love them (Capital Buffet, Albany NY) But unfortunately not this time... None of the food tasted as good as it looked, and it didn't look that great. The dishes looked dry, overcooked and pale in color/presentation. Wasn't really impressed with the Hard Wok. The food was just ok, the buffet was not replenished that quickly and the dinner options really weren't that good. I found that while the kids were able to get multiple plates, I was basically only able to eat tiny samples of each item. Adult buffet is $16 per person which I think is kind of steep for the average buffet selection. You also have the option of carry out for the buffet which costs around $7 per pound. That might be more worth it rather than sitting there and paying way more. There's a large parking lot outside and plenty of seating inside. They'll definitely be able to seat a large party. I would say it is really not Worth coming here, you will be disappointed with the few dishes that they have. I'm giving this place three stars because it is very convenient, I haven't felt sick after eating here, everything is pretty fresh, the place seems pretty clean and the service is good. This is in an area close to where I work, and I haven't found any place around the area that I actually look forward to going to, so I have been here a few times because it's convenient, I can get in and out quickly, and it's not horrible. The bill for dinner and a soda is $17 which isn't so bad, but the quality if the food is very poor compared to ANY other Chinese buffet that I have been to. The International Buffet in Bergenfield, NJ is ten times better than this place and it's a dollar less expensive. The lame crab legs that they put out are so thin and over cooked, it's not even worth the time and effort to crack them for the tiny amount of tasteless crabmeat that you might find inside. They have peel and eat shrimp cocktail, small flavorless prawns that if you slather enough cocktail sauce on them, they are edible. They also have peel and eat fried shrimp, no coating, just cooked in oil with the shells on. These tiny pathetic shrimp are so dry that it is nearly impossible to get the shells off to eat them. The chicken dishes and beef dishes are way too salty or sweet with chewy pieces of meat or chicken in them, the lo mien is mushy, and most of the other items are just bland. I go there to eat the fresh fruit, some shrimp cocktail and a small array of things I might find edible.... Not great, just edible. I can honestly say, that the few times I have been there, I never drove away afterward and not thought ... " why the hell did I just go there?" read more
