I have been ordering from here for years. No complaints food is good. Friendly owner and listens when you ask for a slight change in the dish read more

They're consistent and will never fail to disappoint. They have no business being in the food business. They should be out of business by now as they're food is an insult to the beauty and deliciousness of the many dynasties of Chinese food culture. read more

this is my second time ordering from here. the first time was eh, the second time was actually horrible. my food was so undercooked, and after reading these other reviews, i'm clearly not the first. everything lacked flavor and it was way too pricey for the lack of quality. the kitchen will make u want to run the other way, i wish I would've done that. very disappointing read more

China King - a bowl of rice and a spoon on a table - Chinese Near Me - New City, New York

Growing up in NYC (East Harlem and the Bronx), this food is on par with that quality. I always find it difficult to find decent Chinese outside of the City, but China King gets the job done. Now let's be clear, if you want gourmet/super authentic Chinese then you'll generally have to go to Chinatown or something. In terms of that next tier of good (and somewhat greasy) neighborhood Chinese fare-- this is it! read more

Ordered the most basic dish possible. The food was not fully cooked. We had to microwave it and while that finished cooking the food it tasted terrible - even the sauce couldn't mask the taste.. This is the second time we went there. First time the food was OK. We decided to give it a second chance and there will never be a third chance we order food from this restaurant. read more

A little Chinese food and some red or white wine make a great finish to a long day. I know the town of clarkstown has lots of Chinese food restaurants and I like most of them each in their own way. China king is one of those places where you can't go wrong. They are quick, friendly and the food is always hot. read more

We ordered at 5:30 they needed 1/2 hour. We went to pick up our order It wasn't ready. No problem we waited another 20 minutes ok. But we went in to get out completed order and then they say they have no more tofu. They offered us nothing except an excuse that they are busy. I get that. But we were literally there they could have told us 20 minutes earlier. We could pick something else. No discount no coupon no apology. read more

I would leave absolutely ZERO stars but that's clearly not an option. I've literally been ordering from here for over 15 years. I've been a loyal customer and this is the SECOND time they've messed up my orders and did nothing about it. First time, the guy misheard what I said and sent us the wrong food. I called to let them know and the guy was rude and basically said I was in the wrong. I spoke to the owner afterwards and he promised me a free combo meal to replace the wrong order for the next time. I never received the free combo meal. This time, the woman took my order, said it back to me, and said it would be about an hour because they were busy. I said that would be fine. I placed the order at 8:40 and it came at 10:05. That is not the part where it gets bad. Part of my order was not delivered. I called and the same woman asked me what I was charged. I tell her, and she said she never charged me for it. Why would you take down the order, repeat it back to me and then completely forget to charge me for it? The menu they sent showed that she circled the meals. If she realized that I was undercharged, she should have called me and let me know. I would have been perfectly fine paying for the correct amount FOR THE CORRECT ORDER. Instead of fixing the issue right away, she puts the phone down and I can hear her collecting money from whoever was there. This place has completely lost a loyal customer that they had for over 15 years. read more

I pulled up in front of the restaurant, the owner was dragging out the trash bins. He came inside to help me, and although he was wearing a mask, he did not wash his hands. Inside the small space, it was very dingy and looked ill cared for. I ordered a quart of plain lobster sauce to go with the shrimp I was stir frying at home. I had high hopes as I was a new customer and never place a large order the first time I try a new place. Oh, dear. The lobster "sauce" was more like soup than sauce- thin, watery and tasteless with frozen peas and carrots thrown in. It really was the worst lobster sauce I have ever had. I will not be back. (As I waited in my car, the owner brought out more trash and then came out to my car with my order in his filthy hands.) read more

Best place ever if you disagree your anti-cultural, self absorbed, probably live with 10 cats, or a lonely feminist/virgin

Amazing food. Highly recommended Chinese restaurant! I love the sesame chicken!. If your looking for Chinese food, I think this is the place to go! read more

There Customer Service is Discusting. My Daughter Ordered food yesterday to pick up but unfortunately had accident and was unable to pick up her order. I recived a phone call on my daughter phone this evening, by a rude sarcastic Gentlemen telling That my chicken is getting cold. The man kept calling and calling this evening. I called back and asked who I was speaking to they claimed to be the owner of China king. I asked why he rudely called my daughter phone in such a manner and explained she had an accident on her way to the restaurant yesterday. He was very disrespectful screaming at me on the phone telling me "well they should of called!!! YOU MADE ME WASTE MONEY!!!." YES that the exactly THE FIRST THING YOU WANNA DO IS CALL THE CHINESE TAKEOUT RIGHT AFTER YOU HAVE an ACCIDENT. Especially for Chicken wings and French fries. I told the man on the phone I was gonna report him and tell my freinds and family not to order in there restaurant again . He cursed at me told me can I can kiss his a@# and I'm a pieace of sh@#. I will never order from them ever again. A human life is much more important then An $6.25 order of chicken wings and French fries. read more

I have been taking out there for many years and will never to there again. The customer service part is the worst. Woman answering phone is nasty and makes terrible remarks. I was charged extra on my bill and also food in the order was not always correct. This happened many times before i just stopped going there. Never again! read more

The food is eh. You can find better. It's junky, needs a cleaning and organization. Just doesn't look like a place to feel comfortable ordering from. Plus I can't get past the man that sits at the table all day looking at receipts or taking orders. I've heard him on phone and he can be rude. Obviously, Asians around here don't own their own restaurants and the food shows. Guess being in NYC for work spoils you. read more

Check your orderBEFORE you leave because chances are something is not right. Annoying! Food okay. Update: done with this place. Repeated order 4 times on phone before she got it right. Picked it up, she repeated order back correctly, checked it in parking lot and it's wrong. Never again. read more

Great food, great delivery service. I always order at least once a week from here. Sesame chicken is very recommended ^_^

This is our go-to Chinese takeout place. The convenience of online ordering is nice. The sesame chicken is stringy, but the egg rolls are delicious. read more

I've been going to china king for 15 years! They give hearty portions, and always listen to what you want. The food is excellent and not too salty like other Chinese places, I'll never go anywhere else for takeout! read more

This is my favorite take-out Chinese restaurant in New City. Service is fast, and the food is tasty and reasonably priced.

UPDATE:do not eat here. would have been glad to take the previous review down after some minor delivery and communication issues. My wife attempted to order this evening over the phone and they called back and as my wife answered and they canceled the order as well as cursed and screamed at her out in front of my mother and 4 year old son. They called 2 times even after i tried to level with the guy to get to the bottom of the issue. Its just generic Chinese food..would take this down if they ever apologize for screaming vulgarities on the phone at a woman. keep your food. Refuse service all you want, a bad delivery driver is one thing but refusing service is absurd.the guy was out of line, all i was doing was giving the business another shot. These reviews are our freedom of speech and hold restaurants and businesses accountable for their actions. The reviews speak for themselves... this business is obviously struggling and the quality of ingredients has dramatically decreased and obviously management is ok yelling profanities at peoples moms. I wish them the best of luck and hope they wake up and realize this is not how to run a business but most importantly this is not how you treat people. read more
