This is a staple for me when I'm in the area. No matter what I get, I add the fried egg. It's like Hawaiian chocolate sauce, it makes everything better! This trip I went for the Loco Moco, which comes with the egg already, made it a surf-n-turf by adding the grilled shrimp. Grabbed a Hibiscus Bubble Tea to wash it down. Tried this place for the first time today. It's literally next door to my office! Tried the Aloha Platter with grilled chicken, jasmine rice and a side of steamed broccoli. Everything was super healthy and the portion was huge! An added bonus was that the chicken and beef are halal! Was not expecting that! Will deffo come back to try some of their signature dishes. I wanted to love this place...I had so much high hopes. My son loves spam, my husband loves pineapple rice and I just love trying new places. Sadly the food was extremely bland. My husband got the loco moco, the egg was supposed to be runny but it was cooked fully. And He had only 1 small pineapple in his pineapple rice. My son had the spam and eggs. His egg was runny at least but the spam looked very undercooked. Would of enjoyed it more if it was crispy. I had the side of pineapple rice which tasted like white rice with soy sauce and 2 small pieces of onion and pineapple. I've never had pineapple rice before so i can't fully judge butttt i assume it would taste more like.. pineapple? Maybe if they cooked the rice in some pineapple juice? Or sauté in the juice? Would of been better. Also had the fried zucchini which wasn't flavored at all and just dipped and fried in PLAIN pano which come on... some salt and pepper would of been nice. Ube-flavored bubble tea. Need I say more?! I don't know of any other restaurant or bubble tea shop in a 30-mile radius (without going into NYC) that serves ube-flavored bubble tea, so finding iGrill by chance after dinner was absolute serendipity. Plus if you travel here from NJ like my boyfriend and I did, you don't have to pay a toll! Could have been better My food wasn't that good. I went with white meat chicken, Hawaiian BBQ Sauce, and sides of corn and pineapple fried rice. The best part of my food was the kernel corn. The rice was ok, but any involvement of pineapple in its creation escaped me. The chicken was dry, even though there was the Hawaiian BBQ sauce added to the top of the chicken. Tackling the dry chicken with plastic silverware didn't score any points with me either. I suppose white meat can be dry when grilled, so maybe I just made a poor selection. We had a 5 year old with us, and we had trouble trying to figure out what she wanted to eat. When we saw Udon noodles on their menu, we knew that was what she would like. She had those same noodles the night before at a sushi place and loved them. She hated the noodles tonight. I don't know if a food review by a 5 year old counts, but it did make our visit harder. Time to leave, I had not gotten my bubble tea yet. They forgot, apologized, and refunded what I had paid for the tea. My wife never got her tap water. We bussed our table, assuming that was on us, and found the trash spot to be overflowing. On the plus side, I liked the dining area, not so crowded with a couple of rows of white tables. Parking is also conveniently close. In general, I didn't like my food that much, didn't get my drink, and we still had a 5 year old to feed. Apparently this place serves Hawaiian food. To me, it was more like food court chicken and rice. The menu is pretty variable. Choose your meat, then choose your seasoning, and finally your side. The food was pretty average. When I think of Hawaiian food, I think of SPAM and poke, neither of which I saw on the menu. The girl working the counter was nice though. Discovered this gem through word of mouth and verifying its deliciousness on yelp. Man this place is AMAZING! The prices, the flavors, the variety, the food, the staff... down to their super nice takeout containers (which I am guilty of washing and using again for meal prep hehe don't be wasteful now plastic is indestructible) Anyways - I've been here multiple times and the consistency and yum factor is off the hook. Wanted to try something new rather than go to the same restaurants I usually go to. Found this place on Yelp and the reviews seemed good so I took my family with me to try it out. When we first walked in we were greeted by the young man behind the register. He was very nice and answered any questions we had. The place was spacious and clean, with a lot of seating. I got the Loco Moco with macaroni salad, pineapple fried rice, and corn. My brother got the iburger with bacon and the works, my mother a grilled chicken wrap, and a friend got the white chicken grill with a house salad, white rice, and corn. The Loco Moco was okay. The hamburger patty was a little burnt, which kinda ruined the flavor. The macaroni salad was weird. I had read that it lacked the taste of mayonnaise, which it did, but it was also bland. It just wasn't my cup of tea. The pineapple fried rice was delicious, especially with the fried egg and the corn was pretty good too. The wrap with the house sauce was great. My mother, who never finishes her meal, ate it right up. She also got fries which she wasn't too impressed with. I tried them, and while they were flavorful, they were pretty soggy. My brother enjoyed his burger as well. My friend who got the chicken was happy, but said the Hawaiian BBQ sauce was nothing special. He did enjoy the house salad which had pineapples in it. What I absolutely did not like though was the lack of an itemized receipt. The guy at the register was inputting everything but there was nothing to see what prices he put and extra charges was added for items such as bacon. When we got the receipt it was just a credit card copy, nothing with the break down of prices. I had to do a breakdown with the menu myself, which was annoying. Also, it took awhile for the food to be cooked even though we were the only 4 there. Overall, the food was good and the staff was really nice. But, the food just wasn't amazing. Fast and very friendly service and the grill is out in the open and you can see your food being prepared in front of you. This little Teriyaki grill located next to the Nanuet Mall is a surprising winner. They're still currently open only for takeout, not dine-in, but they make everything fresh. They offer noodle soups and sandwiches, but most people get the protein and two sides. The white meat chicken pieces were nicely seared and the house sauce was sweet without being thick or overpowering. As for the sides, they have a decent variety. They obviously know how to cook rice - the jasmine rice was good, although I wouldn't recommend the pineapple fried rice - didn't find a single piece of pineapple in it, but lots of random bits of onion. If you don't want a sit-down meal or basic fast food, this is a great option in Nanuet. read more

Right when you walk in, clean open atmosphere. It's something out of Fort lee/Edgewater NJ that made its way into Rockland county. First and foremost their white rice is actually true to the white rice you would make at home for those that buy rice by the massive pound. I know it's just 'white rice' to some people but my fellow Asians, I believe for the first time I feel like at home lol (My family buys jasmine rice FYI) The Loco moco- Grilled ground beef patty that falls apart beautifully with gravy to top it off. It is super lite in gravy, just the right consistency/texture. Fried egg-what can I say, who doesn't love a fried egg with their meal? Macaroni salad-I'm not a fan of the macaroni salad in general BUT this actually is quite nice. It's not your typical drenched Mayo macaroni salad. Again, very lite and not even close to a massive hint of Mayo. If you like the heavy artificial Mayo thing, then this isn't for you. Bottom line is, it's superb. It could easily be four star with a few more vegetables and if only they offered vegan protein options like tofu or tempeh. They make bubble tea with almond milk for an extra 50 cents. Yeah.
