They have various coffee drinks and teas/bubble teas, sure, but also special pastries like a croffle (croissant + waffle) and the occasional random specials that the owner brings out at her creative whim, such as cheesy garlic muffin scones. Be sure to try the bibinka which is a baked Filipino rice cake that's kind of like a muffin, and definitely get it with the salted egg if that's available. On the savory side, there are rice bowls with various proteins (adobo chicken, beef bulgogi, shrimp tempura, salmon teriyaki) and onigirazu which is a sushi sandwich. Too bad they're only open Fri-Sun, as I'd love to eat study sip & work on weekdays, and not all menu items are available all the time. The foods are made fresh in small batches and whatever is there is there (and gone when they're gone), but you can call or reach out to them on social media for requests or to place a larger order in advance if you want specific quantities and flavors. A cute little drink and snack place and welcome addition to this area that's mostly mainstream places. Since it's trendy, it's not cheap. There's a limited menu that includes bubble tea (powdered flavors unless you get the milk tea), coffee, savory items like a sushi bake and rice bowl, plus sweet items like mochi donuts ($3) in various flavors (ube, taro, sesame, etc) and Philippino muffins (the latter of which is only available on weekends or through special order). The sweet items do seem to run out as the day progresses. The bubble tea was good quality with soft bubbles and not too sweet per my order. The ube donut was tasty though rather small. I'd love to return to try some of their other things. The place is rather small, with one long wooden table. You can either order in person, at their kiosk or through the snack pass app. It didn't seem like ordering at the kiosk really saved any time. It's also easy to miss if you're just driving by. East Study & Sip is an absolute hidden gem! It is a small cozy cafe perfect for a friend meetup or perhaps even a casual first date ;) We got the Matcha and Ube doughnuts which were what I'd describe as the perfect adult-person sweet haha. It definitely satisfies your sweet tooth but isn't overwhelmingly sugary. It's just right :) I will definitely be getting more the next time I'm in town! It was also my first time trying bibingka, which is a type of filipino rice cake muffin that is topped with cream cheese. It's also gluten-free. Heeey hoooo!! Another cute filipino-owned cafe! Yay! My radar is always up for anything ube and this cafe serves ube mochi donuts! Ube bibingka! Ube milk tea! Ube-baby! Obviously ube isnt my favorite no? Lol anyway on a serious note, they really do make delicious mochi donuts! The texture here is different from the mochinuts or mochimochi in that here at Eat, Study & Sip, their donuts are cakey in consistency. Imagine cake flour and tapioca flour mixed together, i love it! Flavors are good. The dough is not too sweet and is balanced nicely with the glaze that added to its flavor. We got the thai, taro, matcha and ube donuts and everything was delicious! We also got the plain and ube bibingkas! Be warned, its a bit oily probably from the coconut (?) which this rice cake is also made of. Im used to the Cebu-style bibingka without the salted egg on top but this one here was also a treat to eat! Hubster got caramel latte which was good and I got the ube milk tea. I wasnt a big fan of it though,sadly. It kinda lacked ube flavor and was a bit watered-down in my opinion. Maybe if i have added ice cream to it it wouldve been nice. Cute place with friendly and patient staff. We tried the ube bubble tea and the sesame bubble tea along with the ube and churro mochi donuts. The fam loved it all! We visited on a rainy weekday after lunch time so it was fairly quiet. It's actually not far from the palisades mall so I would recommend a visit if you're by the mall anyway. read more

This cafe seems catered to a specific trendy high school / college demographic but if your not in that group you will probably feel disappointed coming here. One of the first things that I noticed about the place is that it only opens around 11am and closes at 8pm. In comparison most coffee shops open early (7am or 8am) and close before rush hour (3pm or 5pm.) Staying late is nice but only opening at 11am I would think is a missed opportunity for people who have a 9-5 job. Besides that observation when I did check this place out I was wasn't too happy with the experience. This place is super tight. So tight I don't really understand the seating options they have here. It looked like you had 2 big tables and a long bench. If anyone takes up a table with their laptop (which was this day unfortunately) all that is left for everyone else is the bench. It's definitely not inviting at all and if you work remotely you can't reliably use this place as a work station. When I was here it also took forever for my food to be ready. I ordered this odd sushi sandwich thing and some bubble tea because I decided to try their menu before just leaving. I don't think I was the only one waiting a long time either because a young couple sitting on the bench seemed annoyed after asking if their food was ready yet. It seems the one server here was being overwhelmed by orders. After I finally did get my food and drink... it was ok. The bubble tea was bubble tea and the sandwich would probably be better if it was just normal sushi. Honestly I would not recommend this place. If you want a reliable place to drink coffee or work there are better options. You have Roast'd Coffee nearby which is a true proper coffee shop and which recently opened. If you don't care about being hip there is also panera bread (though they are super expensive so keep that in mind.) Overall the quirks this place has are to its detriment rather then its strength. read more

Yummy mochi donut shop with a cute space in the back! Don't think "oh, these donuts are so small..." because they are filling. Take caution if you are coming here before a meal. We tried ube donut with coconut flakes, pandan donut, and black sesame. They were all fantastic. It was a little on the less sweet side, which I like. Unsweetened taro boba was a perfect to pair with the sweet treats. Mochi donuts were still fresh and chewy after an overnight refrigeration. Staff was super helpful. The place is surrounded by many Yelp 4+ star restaurants. Come get some mochi-donuts after your lunch outing with your friends. Earlier is better, because they sell out fast. Finally had a chance to stop by and try these mochi donuts. The store is a cozy little place for a meet up and/or quick snack to sit and chill for a bit. When I got up to the counter and looked at the donuts, I was taken aback. These are the donuts? They were smaller than I expected. But I was there & I wanted to try them since I've never had a mochi donut before, let alone an ube one. 6 donuts for $15.00. A bit steep a price. Once home, I didn't just jump in and gobble them up. I took a small bite size piece of each and enjoyed them with my cup of black coffee. The black sesame reminded me of a Filipino dessert called Suman (steamed glutinous sweet rice wrapped in banana leaf) . The matcha had an earth grassy taste, just lovely. Chewy in texture, I thought it was undercooked. But after taking a bite from the other three types I realized the chewiness was how they are supposed to be. The flavors were lovely not too sweet. Initially, I was coming to this place for their awesome mochi donuts (pandan is my favorite), bibingka and ube bubble tea. But on the last visit, we decided to try their food menu items and surprised how good it was. The rice bowls might be the hidden gems for this place. It can easily be interchanged to a "salad" bowl or a dinner meal combination with salad and entree. The bowls are so fresh and filling! The bulgogi bowl was so flavorful. The chicken adobo was tender. Cucumbers were crisp and fresh. The dressing was so yummy. They just all so went together. This is such a cute little spot! We stopped by for some bubble tea and tried the Thai, Taro and Brown Sugar flavors. We chose to go with the milk tea option on all three. The Thai and Taro were very good! The flavor and sweetness were, as my husband would say, "On point." My Brown Sugar milk tea wasn't sweet enough, sadly. I instantly regretted choosing that flavor since it can be hit or miss, at most places. We also decided to try the Pandan mochi donut and were pleasantly surprised! While the texture isn't our favorite, the flavor was amazing. It took me back to Thailand, which is where I tried Pandan for the first time. If you're curious about the texture relative to other mochi donuts, it's much softer and a bit mushier on the inside. We really enjoyed it, but while the flavor of this one blew the others out of the water, I prefer a slightly more firm and chewy texture. Another reviewer mentioned that the donuts here are baked, rather than fried. That makes perfect sense, given the big texture difference. We got a black sesame milk tea, matcha milk tea, matcha mochi doughnut and pandan mochi doughnut and they're all so good. The boba tastes fresh and chewy and the milk tea tastes natural and not overly sweet (like most bubble tea places). The mochi doughnuts are so chewy and well balanced, also a nice surprise when most mochi doughnuts just tastes like slightly more chewy doughnuts. These are indulgent and have great flavor. I saw this location pop up on Yelp. The mochi donuts sold me because I usually travel 30 some odd minutes into NJ to get my fix. It's a very small store, so small that I drove past it. It's very clean inside. Modern and quaint. There's only one bench to sit at really so if you intend on coming with a large group, I'd call ahead. I got one of each bibingka. They were both chewy in the right ways, like a legitimate Filipino bibingka should be. I liked both flavors, though I would just get the plain one next time. The Ube flavor was good but I suppose I expected it to taste more of ube. Still no complaints though. The mochi donuts were delightful. Soft snd chewy. The ube one was delightful, I ate the whole thing in one sitting. The matcha one was also good, a little less sweet overall which was nice with some tea. I also did get an Ube bubble tea (not pictured.) I got it as a slush form. I liked it, the Ube flavor wasn't as strong as I usually like. It could go to add some extra of the Ube mix next time, cause it can taste a little watered down otherwise. I didn't get to try the actual meals yet but I enjoyed my experience and would definitely come back to give the other food a try. I haven't been able to study here yet but every time I go in to pick up a donut or a drink, the environment is always nice and peaceful for students to be able to focus. Tried this place for the first time, wasn't even aware this place existed until today. Got the ube milk tea, taro and black sesame milk tea. Ordered a few mochi donuts as well. The milk tea was awesome love that it's not too sweet, it doesn't seem like they add any sugar which is great. Never was a big fan of milk tea because of all the added sugar even when you ask for less its still super sweet. Loved the mochi donuts, so good.
