My girlfriend and I visited Tasty Junction for an early dinner one Saturday. They weren't too busy…read moreso it was easy to find a table for 2. Once you sit down you scan a QR Code to order your food and drinks. I was pretty hungry that day so we ended up ordering a ton of food. The drinks were pretty good and they were served in Le Creuset mugs. Not the biggest deal, but I can appreciate some nice drinkware. The bowl of Kimchi Fried rice came out first. It was a generous portion and the rice was cooked well, but I feel like it could've used some more kimchi. The eggs on top were cooked perfectly and added good texture to the dish. The next dish to come out was the HK French toast. The bread was nice and fluffy which paired well with a nice generous drizzle of condensed milk. I enjoyed this a lot. We also ordered scallion pancake, pork barbecue, and bossam baos. These were ok, I would probably pass on a return visit. I felt like the meat in the baos was a little tough though they did have decent flavor. The last entree was the smoked salmon and avocado croissant; I really enjoyed this. It had a generous helping of smoked salmon and avocado as well. The saltiness of the salmon paired well with the creamy and fatty avocado. The croissant was also nice and flaky. It was also served with a house salad which had a nice drizzle of dressing on it too. For dessert we ordered a Black Sesame Souffle Pancake. This was SO good. A few months ago I visited a place in Princeton that specialized in these Japanese-style pancakes and Tasty Junction's version was so much more enjoyable. I loved that it was served with a healthy scoop of ice cream. The pancake was airy and had a bounce to it. Each bite was so good and made even better with the ice cream. I'd definitely come back just for the pancakes. All in all Tasty Junction is a great spot tucked away in Glen Rock

One thing I really liked is how customizable the menu is. You can choose different creams and ice cream flavors on top - they have a great variety, including strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, taro, ube, and more. The service was great. Everyone was very kind and welcoming, and they let us know that the Japanese soufflé pancakes take about 15 minutes to prepare, which I was completely fine with since they're made fresh. The ambiance is chill and quiet. The café is tucked away on the side of the street - I actually missed it the first time and had to circle back. We were lucky to find street parking right in front, though there aren't many spots available. As for the pancakes themselves, I thought they were just okay. They're made with four eggs, and you can definitely taste them. That said, my daughter absolutely loved them, so it may just come down to personal preference.

Fluffy Fluffy Go! (Located in Newport Centre Mall)…read more30 Mall Dr. West Third Floor Jersey City, NJ 07310 Yuzu Lemonade Miso Cream Udon Spicy Beef I previously posted about this Japanese café located in the upper level food court of the Newport Centre Mall. Assistant Manager Caio introduced me to a few of the most popular lunch menu items that Owner Joseph recently added to the menu. Yuzu Lemonade: This refreshing, tangy citrus beverage was blended with yuzu, which is a fruit combination of lemon, grapefruit, and mandarin orange. This is undoubtedly one of the tastiest beverages I ever tried, but I would have preferred a thicker straw so I could slurp up the tiny pieces of yuzu on the bottom. Miso Cream Udon: These thick Japanese noodles are smothered in miso cream sauce, which is blended primarily with black miso, white miso, dashi flakes and parmesan. The udon was topped with chili flakes. It was very rich and creamy with an umami flavor. Spicy Beef: The thinly sliced beef was smothered in a Korean gochujang sauce and topped with sesame seeds and chili flakes; it had a mild kick. Also included are coleslaw and a heaping pile of rice. Overall, I had another fantastic experience exploring these new additions to the lunch menu. #fluffyfluffygo #spicybeef #YuzuLemonade #misocreamudon #japanesecafevibes #newportcentre #diningconcourse #NewportMall #jerseycitynj #gochujangsauce #udonnoodles

We got the pork sando, signature pancake, basque cheesecake, and 2 drinks (Thai tea/mango soda). This was our first time trying a souffle pancake. The pork in the sando wasn't as big compared to the chicken katsu pics we see online and seemed to be a bit overcooked and on the drier side. Overall, the sando lacked flavor imo. I enjoyed the fries which were crispy. Pancake was good and had the jiggle. The drinks were too sweet for me and the Thai ice tea looked like there were tea grinds that leaked out but you can taste the tea. However, the basque cheesecake was soo good! Highly recommend! Shared it with my family and they also gave good remarks. It's pretty for Instagram but the prices are steep. Not sure many people will go to the mall for expensive pancakes given the other options available. I personally wouldn't come unless there was a good deal. The ambiance is the mall food court which I don't think is a good location for the brand. Service was fine but seemed like one of the workers was in training. Haven't been but their NY location is probably better.

And I got the blueberry ones which should've been incredible. I would like the owner or the chef to give me 20% of the profits for the following recipe: maybe using whatever pancake mix you use or go ahead and change the pancake mix and just get the aunt Jemima's pancake mix -mix it with basic milk. Start a club membership at Stewart's. Add eggs, a small squeeze of lemon and maybe a small amount of cinnamon just as a slight background hint. Mixing that together, you're batter should be very loose not pouring like milk but running off the spoon consistently within 2 to 3 seconds cooking and with butter is also a necessity so they can be moist and flavorful. To taste what basic good pancakes taste like you can try your competition at Cracker Barrel would be a slight help but yours should taste better with a few hours of practice. If you'd like complete detail details, I will send you a link to my YouTube video. I ordered blueberry pancakes. I couldn't even taste the blueberries. Your cake was very dry spongy and tasting and like a dry sponge. this statement is inspiring because your parking lot will be full and money will be falling all over the floor for your future sales. It's not the perfect recipe but it's a lot better than what you have and people will be inspired to come back actually for the pancakes and not some of your other recipes unless you want to change your name from a pancake factory. You have been there for decadesfor 50 years I don't know, but this was my first time trying you and I was 110% disappointed. I will give you credit. I ordered the vegetable garden omelette and it was decent but dry. It should have also been cooked in butter and cooked softer and not so dry. Make sure you take a video of yourself. I can picture you as a new ratatouille movie. I can't wait to taste your results. Please let me know when a new batch arrives and yes, I still want blueberries. PS please put more fruit or specialty items in your pancakes not two or 3
