My experience there was really good and I personally think there pancakes are amazing and you should go try it for yourself!

It was so amazing I barely have anything to say other than GO! Amazing service, quick, courteous and attentive service. SERVICE: was very speedy. They brought out the food within 10 minutes. Everything was accurate fresh and looked as good as it taste. Frequently checked on ice and make sure everything was tasting good and that we didn't eat anything else towards the end of our meal. The manager came over and made jokes with us and checked on us to insure we had a positive experience. Vibe: good restaurant for families, birthdays, elders, parties, kids, handicap accessible. Music is a good volume, not overbearing to where you can't have a conversation. read more

We had such a great experience at The Original Pancake House! We went on a busy Sunday morning with four people and were pleasantly surprised by how quickly we were seated--only about a 15-minute wait. The food was delicious, but what really made our experience was our server, Chris. He was absolutely amazing--super lively, friendly, and fun, and provided excellent service throughout our meal. You could tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and his energy really added to the experience. Great food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommend asking for Chris if you visit! read more

Early Sunday breakfast. Daughter called to take me to breakfast. Never refuse her when she offers to treat. This place is always crowded. And you have to expect that when you come here. Everything on the menu is so good. Can not explain it any other way. The staff that I have had have always been attentive and friendly. Only strike against them is they do not allow you to call and get take out. You literally have to sit down at a table or the bar. Order and they bring everything on plates and then they can bring you to go containers. Crazy but that's how it is. I will always recommend this place. read more

I would not consider myself a breakfast person however, this is a spot that I'll keep coming back to. Food is always delicious, coffee keeps flowing and all of their different syrups are to die for. The restaurant is decorated beautifully however I will say this place is pretty consistently packed when we go on Saturday or Sunday mornings. I will say the service here is often times pretty slow and I do believe that's due to the sheer amount of people that they're serving however, all the items on this menu make any sort of wait well worth it. read more

Never disappointed every time we come here! This spot has become one of our favorite breakfast places and it always hits the mark. I ordered the 4x2 -- four delicious pancakes paired with two perfectly cooked over-easy eggs. The pancakes were fluffy, buttery, and incredibly satisfying. I also added a side of home fries with peppers and onions that were cooked just right with great flavor in every bite. And the thick-cut bacon... OMG! Crispy, smoky, and absolutely delicious. We also tried the corned beef hash with eggs and mini pancakes, which was another winner. Everything came out hot, fresh, and generously portioned. A special shoutout to our server Monica, who made the experience even better. She was so friendly, attentive, and constantly stopping by to refill the Kona coffee -- one of my favorites ever since visiting Hawaii. Great service really makes a difference and Monica was fantastic. Highly recommended if you're looking for an amazing breakfast spot with great food, generous portions, and top-notch service. Stop in and ask for Monica! read more

I've been here a few times and the food is consistently delicious. The wait can be a bit long in the mornings especially on the weekends but it is worth it if you decide to stick around. My aunt wanted to go here for her birthday and our wait ended up being around an hour and 20min on a Saturday around 10am. You also can't sit until the entire party is there. Our server was attentive despite the busy morning and everyone enjoyed their dishes. Parking can also be tricky but it looks like they're expanding their parking lot! read more

When I say I never had pancakes taste like this before I MEAN IT. I love iHOP but this has NOTHING on it. The pancakes tasted fresh and home made, the eggs were AMAZING like fresh eggs and everything was well made. The Orange Strawberry I could drink 17 of them SOOO GOOD! The service was great with getting the food in a decent time. The place feels like a country side home with groups big and small being catered too. It was such an amazing experience and I would go there again without a doubt. read more

I've been here many, many times over the yrs and haven't written a review yet (unintentionally)...this place can be an absolute madhouse if you come on the wkends, so expect a wait unless you're alone or maybe just have one other person w you and don't mind sitting at the bar. This place is always sparkling clean, the service is fast and always comes w a smile. I've been lucky enough to be sat w a server named Mariah a few times now and she's a cut above the rest. Always remembers you somehow (even though they're always packed) and is just a pleasure to talk to in general. I was dying for an over the top cheat meal and ordered the "Apple Pancake"...she asked me if I had tried yet, gave me the heads up that it was huge and not your normal pancake and even brought me a small stack in case I wasn't a fan. It's my go to cheat meal twice a month and I feel like it's worth the zillion calories that it has to be! Anyway~everyone here is fantastic to deal with and the wait is worth it! read more

All the Original Pancake Houses have impressed me, but this one feels very modern and cool inside. There's a good-sized parking lot and the employees are very friendly. The menu has a lot of options, and the pictures help sell some of their items, as it tempted me to get the California omelet. The server warned me it was like 4-5 eggs and baked so it would take some time, so oh man, was it a sizeable bundle of eggs and toppings. It's egg-filled and topped with avocado, bacon, tomato, and sour cream. It is enough to hold you over past lunch and then some. And it comes with an adorable tiny stack of pancakes which were not needed but much appreciated. The Dutch Baby is also a pretty special dish. It's pancake-like, but thin and bowl-shaped, but the powered sugar, butter, and a squeeze of lemon is all the topping you need (syrup would be too much.) The medium roast coffee is pretty robust, and the booths are spacious. It's more upscale than a diner, but it's still good dishes at reasonable prices. read more

Had to shout out the service really quick. For both visits I had amazing waitresses. This past visit, our waitress gave us to go cups of the drinks we were drinking! I have never experienced that north of PA, and as someone who loves her beverages, this won a lot of points with me. The coconut pancakes are delicious and my mom's favorite. I am more of a savory lover and the ham and scram burrito really does it for me, I want to try other things on the menu but I enjoy this one so much! read more

If you want to try this spot, be prepared to wait for more than an hour especially on a weekend. But it's worth the wait. All their menu items and drinks are made freshly. I was impressed with their orange juice as they make fresh batches every morning and you can taste the pulp and freshness. All their jams, syrups and toppings are also made onsite. Our waitress, Marisa, was outstanding and walked us through our first experience at this location. Highly recommend visiting if you're in the mood for some authentic breakfast. I have to compliment whoever was on aux because the music was on point and made the space feel much more comfortable. read more

Beautiful inside, the service was great but the food could be better. Now don't get me wrong the pancakes and crepes fantastic but if you're looking for something savory maybe this isn't the place. This is a nice place to have breakfast/brunch. The service is ok. The staff is not attententive to their patrons. We have to find or flag them down and when they do comw back you feel that uneasy dismeanor of the staff. The food was good, but its very loud during business hours. read more

This was actually the best pancakes I ever had! We came here after my 2 nieces graduation. They have a lot of parking in their area. We were reserved for seating but eventually they moved us to another area due to a bigger party. As we get in(my other family were eating), we get seated and immediately are greeted for drinks and appetizers. I decided to go with the Fresh Fruit Short-stack. This was absolutely delicious. I did not use any syrup, the whipping was placed perfectly over the fresh fruit which melted every slice i cut. The pancake was perfectly made. I didn't even use the strawberry purée. The fluffiness of the pancake set the tone and was completely satisfying. I also ordered the strawberry orange juice . As the restaurant was busy the waitress was a bit overwhelmed causing dissatisfaction towards the group. I would like to go back again with smaller group or just me. The ambiance was inviting and i loved the set up inside. read more

Not a fan of their waiting system. Felt like I was in a doctor's office. Waited in an anteroom, got a text to check in, checked in, and then sent to a larger waiting room to continue waiting. My wife, very much enjoyed her simple salad. In one of those size doesn't matter moments, my enormous Weston omelette was tasteless until I added heaps of Tabasco sauce. Also, the first two people I asked for sauce, never came back. Fortunately, the third one brought it and it saved otherwise boring meal. read more

Stopped in for a quick breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Stopping in on a busy weekend morning I was a little worried that there might have been a long wait. As soon as we walked in we were given a table immediately. Asked the waitress what was popular and after a few minutes we decided what we wanted. 3 stars, mainly because I'm not a huge fan of the fact they use peanut oil in all of their batters. It definitely isn't a common thing for restaurants to be incorporating into their foods, and surprisingly this notice isn't in larger font on their menu and on signage in the restaurant. I've visited a handful of times so far, trying to give Original Pancake House a fair chance since the line is consistently out the door and people seem to love it. Both times I left disappointed & just don't know what the hype is about. It's definitely better than iHop/Dennys, but for the price I would much rather eat at home. The pancakes: meh, not the best I've had but also not terrible. Both times I've had them they were definitely dry though, so be sure to cover them in butter and syrup. Breakfast plates: your standard bacon and eggs. Portions seem to be small but price tags high in comparison to diner food, so keep that in mind prior to visiting and waiting in a 1 hour + long line to be seated. read more

I finally got to try this place on an early Friday afternoon. I had their Strawberry Banana and Cream waffle and it was so delicious. The waffle was made perfectly and I love the combo of strawberries and bananas on top. They put just enough cream and it was super light, not overly sweet. The server was nice and checked in to make sure we were enjoying the food. I liked the music that they were playing throughout the restaurant. I always prefer booth seating and we were able to get seated after waiting about 5 minutes. It was a full house so I see why the parking lot is always busy. I'm looking forward to going back and trying other food on the menu! read more

Wow!! The fluffiest eggs I have ever had...at the OG pancake house!! I heard so many good things about this spot. On a Saturday morning there was already a lot of people and roughly a 20 min wait. Luckily the inside was spacious, and they were able to accommodate us even after we missed our beeper lol... Service was superb- so fast and friendly. There's a lot of comments about the long waits. We were here at 8:00 AM and there was no one here. Apparently New Jersey doesn't get up early for breakfast - which we should have gleaned when the place doesn't even open till 8. I got the 4x2 and the pancakes were indeed, as the counter people assured us, were "the best you've ever had". I believe they are correct. After selecting our breakfast options, which would be made easier with a flow chart on the menu, we enjoyed some fine coffee and an interrogation on our comings and goings. When they learned we were on our way to Fredericksburg and we engaged in Civil War topics, they must have heard the bell for the end of history class. They did keep checking on us. The eggs and sausage were fine. The bacon could have been cooked more and, thou we asked for onion and peppers, they were not added. I'm not sure how much it would have helped - they needed some zest. In the end, of the 4 breakfast places we had the pleasure of eating at over the Memorial Day weekend, this was the best. read more

Visited Original Pancake House this morning for breakfast! We arrived around 9:45 and we were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait. Similarly to other reviews, we were told to sit in different waiting areas until they finally seated us which was a little strange but service was fast. I ordered the Huevos Racheros and they gave me mini pancakes to try since it was my first time at the restaurant, which was a nice gesture! Iced Coffee was just ok. I was expecting it to be sweet as described on the menu but I had to add sugar to it. Huevos Racheros were good but I would've enjoyed having more refried beans on it. All in all I can see myself going back again and trying some of their other options as they do have a lot of offerings on their menu! read more

After driving for 4 hours, I had worked up an appetite so my family and I stopped by this breakfast spot. I am not sure if there was an event nearby which brought more people in, but it was PACKED! We put our name down and waited about 45 minutes - there were people inside and outside waiting as well. We were seated at a table by the windows, so getting some natural lighting was good. The menu has pictures which was nice to help visualize what you'd be getting. I wasn't in the mood for a traditional breakfast (bacon, eggs, potatoes, etc.) so I picked the huevos rancheros. I liked the toppings the crispy tortillas came with, but the pico de galle had far too many onions. After picking out most of them, there was close to nothing left. I wish it was topped with more beans rather than a thin spread. The egg was cooked well, and the salsa verde was really.good. Both the salsa verde and the pice de galle were a tad bit spicy. My plate came with the option to add a stack of pancakes for $1.25. I instead added challah French toast for about $4 more. The French toast was really tasty, but the stack of pancakes my brother ordered were extremely cute, light, and also yummy. I was also able to try the avocado toast. The toast was a but burnt, but there was a lot of guacamole, with a bold taste. The inside is big and gives the feel of luxury without paying the price of luxury. Our waitress was kind, brought us everything we needed, and checked in on us periodically. read more

FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC! Driving up the NJ turnpike we figured we would get off an exit and grab a bite to eat somewhere near the exit... well I'm glad we picked exit 10 and the Original Pancake House. Driving up, I was expecting to enter an old, Denny's/diner type place...but the inside is amazing. So nice, loved the music (yeah it was above average volume - see other reviews- but it was great!) We were jamming as we ordered, waited, and ate. It drowns out the sound of everyone else's conversation and it was great, don't lower the volume, ever. The place has a vibe to it, the service was fantastic..Rich, our server, was a Rockstar! Owner/manager (not sure) could not have been friendlier, great conversation and hospitality. The host sat us quickly, and there was a crowd that just kept coming and going. They turn over tables, seat people, and serve you quickly, food was hot, and amazing. I was blown away by the menu, I wanted to order everything, but I had to go with my all-time favorite...Huevos Rancheros! Now their version may not be traditional but it was super and super fresh. I wanted more. I also think next time I'll get extra salda Verde and an extra egg, but man was it delicious! Reminded me of an excellent Huevos Rancheros I had in California a few years ago, so so fresh. I also got a side of banana pancakes covered in chopped pecans with the banana sauce; WOW! I was ready for a nap. Wife got the Dutch baby apple. It was enormous, hot, and delicious... she barely put a dent in it... but I ate some later with vanilla ice cream (pro tip, lol). We did sample the regular pancake and my goodness! I'm not a big pancake guy (egg man) but I'd order a small side of them every time. I cannot wait to go back. It's on our way to my in-laws, so we will be blocking out some time for a breakfast stop next time we had north. If you're in the area, it's 100% worth the stop. Thank me later. read more
