This place makes an excellent chicken cheesesteak sandwich. I usually order it plain, so I haven't tried it with vegetables yet. I also tried their cheeseburger and French fries, which were decent. I requested the burger cooked medium well with no pink, but it still came out slightly pink in the center. So far, the chicken cheesesteak is my favorite item on the menu, and I highly recommend trying it. They also offer a wide variety of options. The staff is really friendly. Always a welcoming visit coming here. Today I ordered the turkey and roast beef club. This was really good. A great portion for the price. The sandwich itself was excellent. Loved the cookie slaw on the sandwich. A pickle would have been really good with this. The 12 piece mild wings was just ok. The sauce was good but the chicken was bland. Could have used more seasoning. But i enjoyed the crisp of the skin. They have so many choices to offer from the menu. I found this place on Yelp as I was looking for bfast options since basic food necessities are completely sold out at grocery stores in my area (covid-19). What a gem this place is! Cedar grove is always hit or miss, today it was more of a miss. I can't get a good eggplant & roasted red pepper sandwich at school, so I always get one when I come home, and usually cedar grove is my go to for their "incredible eggplant" sandwich. This spot is my silver lining during the pandemic. The food is outstanding like their Reuben, hot, mouth watering corned beef, with Swiss and sauerkraut grilled between two slices of buttered Rye. I am eating it right now and keeping the tears of contentment back. The staff is friendly and inviting. Their salads are crisp and fresh and their Cesar dressing is to die for it is that good. This place definitely deserves more than stars than it has because I've ordered various things from here on many different occasions and have never been disappointed. I've primarily ordered breakfast sandwiches for delivery to my office on Saturday mornings when I work. They've always delivered very fast (sometimes less than 30 mins if our order size was small). Other co-workers have gotten other food from here that I've tried and have enjoyed. Their wings have a good taste to them! I especially love that they toast their bagel when you order a breakfast sandwich. They also give a generous amount of pork roll. Their breakfast sandwiches are also not super greasy like other places that I've been to. I used to go to another bagel place in the area until I came across this place. I wish I had done so sooner! My 1 star rating is based solely on the experience I had today with the service. So I order all of the catering for my company events and we normally use another caterer (for years now) and my HR Mgr said she saw commercials for Cedar Grove Catering on TV and we should give them a try to change things up a bit. So I called over a week ago to place the order for a group of 17 people from another company coming in to our facility today. The lady was very friendly and appreciative of us coming to them for business. I told her the hot breakfast needed to be here by 7:15am. She said no problem. Fast Forward to today, the day of the event. 7:15am, no delivery. 7:20am, no delivery. 7:25, 7:30, 7:35...still no delivery. So, I called and it took FOUR TIMES of me calling for someone to finally pick up. A guy picks up and I explain where I'm calling from and the deliver guy is already 20 minutes late. Him: "well he's out making other deliveries" Me: "And this is exactly why we called this order in over a week ago so there would be no problems with getting this delivery here on time. Where is he?" Him: "He's out making other deliveries I don't know what you want me to tell you" Me: "Well, I have 17 people here waiting to be fed because food should have been here 20 minutes ago and the meeting starts in 20 minutes" Him: "Well I can give you the delivery guys number if you want to call and ask where he is" Me: "um, no...YOU will be calling the delivery guy and telling him to get here asap" ...I could not believe the "service" I just received from this place. Terrible. Needless to say the delivery guy was here within 5 minutes and was very nice and was hauling his butt once he got here to set everything up asap (I honestly don't think it was his fault)....but the way this was all pre-set up and handled...unacceptable. The fact that the guy on the phone thought it was MY responsibility to call up the driver and ask where he was...completely unprofessional. We've never had this issue once with the other caterer we use so we will continue to use our original caterer going forward. I cannot rate the food because I am not sitting in that meeting, so I'm not sure how good it is, but it does smell good from where I'm sitting. First impressions are the most crucial and this one was unfortunately not good. If we can't count on them to be on time with a delivery and give exceptional service to remedy a situation, no point in using. read more

Super surprised I never wrote a review! My family has been following this restaurant since it was in Somerset probably 20 years ago! We loovveee the Captain Crunch chicken tenders with the honey mustard sauce. My family calls the honey mustard sauce liquid gold! So delicious! We have had catered food from there and everything has been great! I just had their chef salad yesterday and it was great! Love their ranch as well. I think their salad dressing are homemade. This is probably my favorite restaurant in the whole state of New Jersey as I've been to all of the best in the state of New Jersey not to mention I worked for many but I never worked here because truth be told I would probably get fired my first week because I would eat all the delicious food they serve lol. This place makes it purely on the quality of the food. For the type a restaurant it is it is pretty good at. And the staff also seems to be very nice. Have never had an issue and have always been greeted pleasantly when I order. The two downsides our first price, you're going to pay for the food in comparison to some restaurant you're going to pay more. Everything is just more expensive. Plan on spending at least 10% more than you normally do. The other downside is the wait, seems like the food always takes at least an hour to get ready. We would absolutely go there more often if it was not for the pricing. The food in this selection is great but it really just cost too much. read more

Horrible customer service. I work at Global Auto Mall on rt 22 and have been ordering from here forever now. Plus we are only 8mins away and they have always delivered to us. I would give more stars if the service wasn't sub-par. The food is delicious, but 95% of the time my husband and I order, our order is wrong. We order simple sandwiches on the weekend for lunch. My husband is picky and loves cheese sandwiches. Every time he orders, he gets ham and cheese instead. I order honey roasted turkey breast and get plain. We ordered an entree a couple of weeks ago. Sliced london broil. We asked for no salad and asked to sub in a side of broccoli. When my husband got home, the entree consisted of no mashed, a side salad and a cold side of broccoli. Every. Time.
