The bread was perfectly toasted with just the right crunch while still staying soft inside. The sauce pulled everything together, and I appreciated him mentioning he was still refining the recipe--it's already one I'd order again. I also tried the Biscoff cookie, which was incredibly soft and packed with Biscoff pieces in every bite. The Detail Most People Miss: Even the restroom reflected the care put into the café. The tasteful wallpaper and quality tissues were small details that made the experience feel intentional. Worth It? Absolutely. Staff are friendly and mostly Rutgers students, so the faces rotate a bit, but they're always on it. Mo, the owner, is around all the time and is a great guy -- the kind of place where the owner actually knows the regulars. If you're in or around New Brunswick and want a solid breakfast and a real latte, this is the spot. Bonus if you've got a dog with you. Omg I almost gagged, I just took the biggest sip of some random person's drink by accident. At that point I get up to go to the bathroom to rinse out my mouth. As soon as I get out I walk back to grab my pop-tart and it was gone, cleared away by the staff in a matter of minutes. Crazy that they left the table with dishes and cups when we got there but when we were leaving they were in a rush to clear away everything that they take my basically full pop-tart too. I was so defeated at that point I just left. To note, I did take one bite of the pop-tart and it was actually very good. My lemonade was fine, nice and tart. Overall service is kinda lacking but it was also a crazy day to visit with an event going on so I can't really comment on how they are normally. We were both a little shocked by the price. It's $0.50 a syrup, not sure if oat milk was another extra charge. For the price I'd expect both drinks to taste amazing.
