Super friendly cashier and great flavor selection. If you eat these donuts warm they are 100% five-star worthy. They were so freaking good. We didn't finish ours in the first sitting and when we went back in for another few bites about 2 hours later, they didn't hit the same. Definitely should be eaten fresh. Family in the area has been saying I need to try this when I visit and we finally made it over there. The shop is in a strip mall along route 22 on the eastbound side. When you walk in it is bright and cheerful. I like the concept of designing your own donut. You start with a freshly made plain donut, then choose what type of coating you would like from types like glazed, vanilla icing, cinnamon sugar and much more. Then pick a topping like Oreo cookie crumbles, sprinkles, chopped bacon among other options and top it off with a drizzle. But if that's too much for you, they have favorite predesigned donuts. And you can just choose what flavor combo sounds delicious to you. You don't have to get too many. They are very flavorful and very filling. Perfectly sweet maple glaze with crispy bacon on top. The cake donut base was also perfectly airy and moist to me - apple pie: classic apple pie filling in the center. Sweet and cinnamony - pumpkin streusel: love the added crunch from the streusel. I love pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffin so this donut fit right in with my other fave pumpkin treats - blueberry pancake: I love a pumpkin pancake so I was curious to try it in donut form. I loved it. The blueberry flavor was just right! - s'mores: I really wanted to love this donut because I love eating s'mores but the chocolate and marshmallow icing on the donut was a bit too sweet for me - cookies and cream: love the crunchy cookie bits! Updating my review bc i'm shocked at the horrible service I received this week on my second visit back here. Came on a Tuesday around 1pm. They have a sign up saying they're training new staff which is usually fine but I wasn't expecting anything this bad. I ordered a 1/2 dozen donuts and even before I listed my 4th donut the cashier was like "anything else?" Uh how about I finish telling you my order thanks. Then when she was making my donuts she was on the phone, making a personal call..on SPEAKER PHONE..during work hours. Very unprofessional. i didn't think about it then but now i'm wondering if she made my donuts and touched her phone with the same gloves?! Gross. The worst part...she handed me my box all sticky! When I asked for a new box she literally threw it over the counter and walked away to finish her conversation. Didn't even transfer my donuts for me or bother to help. I stood there in disbelief, resisted the urge to say something and just walked off. She was so busy on her personal call, she didn't finish the drizzle on one of my donuts and I swear one was a little undercooked...but I usually love the donuts (only reason why I'm not giving it one star). The wait was worth it, next to a glass of cold milk the Chocolate Explosion looked almost too good to eat (almost). Yes, these things are pretty much to die for and this is from a person that generally passes on all sweet things. In the spectrum of donuts, they seem to fit in a pleasant zone for texture too. Nowhere near the density of, say, something store bought or even Dunkin, but at the same time, nowhere as light as Krispy Kreme which goes too far the other way. Perhaps their dazzling display of variety is more visual than in taste, but you can get in some unique flavors as well. My overall recommendation is, don't go here. Finally got the chance to try this place last weekend and i was not disappointed. I'm not the biggest donut fan nor have the sweetest tooth but I loved my donuts. Everything is customizable, so you can get the donuts plain or decked out with the works. I bough 1/2 a dozen ( 1 is never enough ) and the cashier was so helpful with helping me choose what toppings to add to my donut. I ended up choosing the 6 most popular donuts and I loved them all. Con, it makes for a messier experience with little ones, but it was definitely worth the clean up required. We got 4 great donuts and an iced coffee. The staff made a small mistake with our order, but it was remedied easily and they were very apologetic. The only downside to this is that the donut is very hard to eat without making a total mess. Fast forward to the event, everyone loved them and those who knew about Duck Donuts were overjoyed to find them there! I tried one (or two) (it was three) and am surprised I was able to just stop there. They really are that good. For about 55 donuts I think I paid close to $80, not bad at all. The only problem that was barely a problem was that when I arrived to pick up the donuts, they weren't ready yet. I think they may have forgotten about my order. I was told that I can either wait 15 minutes or they could have them delivered for me with no delivery fee. I chose the latter and it worked out totally fine!
