I go here a lot and the food is okay, like it's fast food so you can't expect much but their matcha is SO GOOD like it's actually my favorite of all the places I've been to. I'm very picky with matcha and they always make it perfect here like it's actually green unlike Dunkin where they just give you straight up milk. It's like a panini version of a Philly cheesesteak bc the meat has good seasoning and there is good meat to cheese ratio. The coffee wasn't as sweet as I like my cold brews but the coffee itself was good. Not bitter. The honey dip donut was way too sweet. I actually preferred the honey cruller, but it was also sweet. I've been to Tim Hortons (Timmies) a number of times while living in Toronto, so was happy to see one in NJ. The donuts were actually very similar to the stores in Canada. I tried my regulars, french crueler, and also Tim bits; and both were better than Dunkin quality. Downside was that the prices are substantially higher. Now they are not expensive for donuts, but the ones in Canada are a lot better value. I'd return if I was in the area. read more

Why did I never realize that Tim Hortons is also in NJ (and other states)! For a chain donut shop, it's pretty solid. Despite coming midday, the donuts were fresh and tasty. I particularly enjoyed the Strawberry Shortcake donuts (which were a seasonal/limited release). Large Tim Hortons! Lots of choices! We have been to this Tim Hortons a long time ago, decided to stop in again for some coffee and pastries. The inside was very clean and neat. The service was okay, the girl was not very friendly and didn't know how to smile. lol Tim Hortons dark roast coffee is so good. Tim Horton's is Dunkin' Donuts done right! They have much better selection of food and higher quality menu options. Whenever I find a location I always go there. I've lived 10 minutes away from this Tim Hortons since I was in 8th grade but only visited (or even knew they were so close, or knew what a Tim Hortons was) when I brought my Minnesotan boyfriend to visit the hometown for the first time. 5 years later and we make a stop on each trip in and out of town. Coffee is strong and hot and all I could ever want in a cup! If it's late the in the afternoon I usually get cream and sugar instead of black and they never go crazy with making it too light and too sweet. We also brought back a bag of beans on our last trip and my cup a joe this morning was so lovely! I'll still stick to the fresh grounds from my local little spot but this was a nice way to mix it up. Also, not to get too mushy but my boyfriend friggin flips out for Tim Hortons so watching him excited and nostalgic over coffee beans is kinda cute. We always go through the drive through and it is such a quick process, they are always so friendly and sweet. Also worth mentioning the last trip there was very recent and in these times of Covid it's always reassuring to see they are wearing face masks and gloves. I made another appearance to have some donuts. I had a strawberry frosted and a sour cream glazed donut. I had both of these in previous trips, but they were a little different this time. The strawberry did not taste as sweet and the sour cream glazed had more of a sour cream taste it seemed like. I also had a ten count of the timbits, variety edition. There was definitely more than 10 present which was an added bonus. There was a number of different flavors here including blueberry, birthday cake, glazed, honey glazed, jelly, and chocolate. My favorite was surprisingly the blueberry one while the birthday cake was tasty too. The jelly barely had any filling while the chocolate was a little dry. read more

This is more Tim Hortons in general and in no way a knock on this location or it's employees. I'm just not a fan. The donuts & Timbits (muchkins) are just too rich for my liking. Duck Donuts is similar in being an overly rich donut, but I'd rather have one of theirs over Tim Hortons. Not sure about the other breakfast options Tim Hortons has. The coffee is nothing special. I never had Tim Hortons before and I've heard good things so I had to try. The place inside has a variety of donuts, beverage options, as well as meals. I'm blown away by the selection and wanted to try everything on the menu. I finally decided to order the cookie and cream ice cap, the glazed donut, the oreo donut, and the chocolate cruller donut. The donuts were very delicious and soft. I also love the ice cap. It has a hint of coffee flavor and it's sweet. So glad to have a Tim Horton's in New Jersey! This is easy on/off the tricky 22/206/202/28/287 interchange in Raritan. Not a fun area to be in with all those highways/circles/jug handles, so it's nice to have a coffee/donut place to easily get to. Also possible to get to from local side streets. Good sized parking lot and restaurant. We stopped in for a box of donuts, all were fresh and delicious and a big hit! read more

Tim Hortons: I have always loved their taste. Their French Vanilla cappuccino is to die for. I literally love it more than Starbucks in taste. It won't wake you up like Starbucks would, but their coffee taste is heavenly. I love their muffins and donuts, but I seriously wish they had tuna sandwiches because I can't have any other type of sandwiches there :( (I hate vege) The franchise: This outlet in NJ is way way wayyy better than the ones all over NY. They have a great seating place which is family friendly and clean. The service is very nice too and they have take-home coffees available here. Also, their coffee had the exact same taste as I had in the Michigan area, compared to the ones in NY (they sucked, they were just water and sugar) but here, the coffee was thick and creamy and the original taste. I come here most nights when I'm not busy with my parents to do some light studying until they close the inside. There is free WiFi so its easy to bring your laptop and work. One thing that did bother me as I can here though is that they use plastic cups for their cold drinks, and I always get cold drinks, so today I came with my own mason jar and asked them to give me my mango smoothie in that. They were more than accommodating and asked me if I wanted them to wash it even though I already had it washed before I came. They put my smoothie with the whipped cream in my mason jar, and the staff even complimented my mason jar! I wanted to try something new and ordered the Oreo Iced Capp and Oreo Dream Donut. Oreos were my favorite cookies ever since I was young. The Oreo Iced Capp is delicious; the Oreo flavor is very strong and you taste the cookie crumbs in every slurp. It isn't too icy and the whipped cream is smooth and creamy unlike the one from Dunkin Donuts. The Oreo Dream Donut is superb. The donut is completely decorated in the Oreo crumbs. Stopped in for a quick coffee and treat after leaving the mall and unfortunately I left disappointed. I was deciding on a drink and I saw the sign for a peppermint iced latte and it sounded and looked good so I ordered that, a hot coffee and an apple fritter and a Nutella donut for us to share. Took a seat and take out our treats not to find my apple fritter but an Oreo donut in its place then I tasted my drink that didn't look that impressive since it was missing the chocolate syrup drizzle in the picture but I couldn't taste any peppermint whatsoever... I asked for a second opinion on the drink and my fiancé agreed no peppermint... he suggested I bring the drink back but I wasn't in the mood to let them know they got half of my order wrong. Well I remember years ago you'd go into Canada and you'd see Tim Hortons. But I think today might be the first time I've had their doughnuts. The glazed were good in texture but much too heavy in terms of the sugar glaze. The apple fritter doughnuts were really good. Still too sweet but good . TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE, NOT A JOKE!! I tried place because they are sponsors of the NHL, I'm a big hockey fan. I'm going to keep this review/warning short because I could go on for a very long time about a the following incident. I went to Tim Hortons and purchased a medium coffee, and had one of the worst incidents of my life. About a half an hour later my heart suddenly began pounding fast, really fast. I was rushed to the hospital and was taken right in to the back. After getting triaged they found my resting pulse was 155 to 162 it was terrifying!! They gave me 2 mg of Ativan IV which is a powerful benzodiazepine tranquilizer especially when given intravenously, it did absolutely nothing to bring my pulse down, in other words it wasn't anxiety. What the Ativan did was make me accept my fate that I may not make it out of the hospital alive or that my life would severely change and I would no longer be going to the gym etc. because of a heart attack that inevitably would've happened from it being that fast to long They then gave me IV Lopressor which is a beta blocker used for several things including bringing a fast heart rate (tachycardia) down. They also gave me a pill of it to take which would last longer than the IV. My pulse came right down though I was terrified, and rightfully so, that it would spike back up. It was traumatic in the very literal sense of the word. I'm sure you can imagine. I didn't have anything to eat other than a blueberry muffin that day, it was the morning. I drink pretty strong coffee almost daily (Starbucks etc.). Before I even told them what I had they asked if I ingested some sort of a "cardio stimulant" legal or illegal... I told them about the coffee. Because this had NEVER happened to me before in 40 years of living it was painfully obvious that there was something up with that coffee. Overly fortified with caffeine in one way or another was a strong hypothesis. I will never go there again and I tell everyone about this experience of the topic comes up. Here is another VERY IMPORTANT DETAIL. I was speaking to an employee of mine (we'll call "JC") and in conversation he mentioned that he once had to call an ambulance because he felt very ill. JC's blood pressure was dangerously high, he was dizzy and his heart rate was very fast. When I told him that I had a similar experience after drinking TIM HORTONS COFFEE his eyes widened. He told me that that is what he drank as well about an hour before. It was not from the same location or very close in time, though not that far apart either. It was about a 4-6 mounts after my ordeal, we figured it out to see if it might have been the same batch; it was the same company and that's bad enough. My recommendation is to steer far clear of this place. If you had a similar experience please let me know, I'm very interested for several reasons so please do PM me. Disclaimer: The coffee I drank at Tim Hortons was never tested, I can't possibly imagine anything else that would've caused this reaction and neither can the medical professionals who did many tests on me. Other than the strong Tim Hortons coffee that I had an hour before I had no outside substances in my system. I have a pretty high tolerance to caffeine and drink coffee daily. This is my, as well as somebody else's, personal experience regarding a 1 hour or less period of time after drinking the same product. read more

This is a pretty good place. My first visit I had a wonderfully fresh glazed donuts that was lightly sugar coated. Since then, 6 visits later the donuts and bagels haven't hit that same note their either heavy on the sugar coating like Krispy Kreme or the freshness one expects at most Dunkin (trucked in daily). The coffee is good, but I've had better. The sitting area is nice a modern. The biggest issue is the price. Unless your buying just a promo, like a 2 for 4, you'll probably spend over $7.50 here where the same thing at the new, practically next door Quickcheck will save you at least a buck or two. If you want a drive though this may be your place. Or if you want a place to sit for 20 min this may be it. But grab and go, probably you should head to Quickcheck. read more
