Ethan and The Bean is a purveyor of tasty, freshly-made organic artisan-quality hot or iced beverages, baked goods, soups, salads, and sandwiches that provides a terrific independently-minded alternative in downtown Morristown to Starbucks' corporate siren. Ethan and The Bean operates as a 501(c)3 non-profit with a noble mission of providing meaningful employment opportunities for folks with autism or intellectual disabilities that give its employees hands-on training, mentoring, and skills development to build their self-confidence and give them a sense of purpose. The Morristown location, just across Speedwell Avenue from the Hyatt Grand Regency, is open and airy with plenty of seating, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and free WiFi for those who need to get some work done or seek a temporary distraction from those around them. On my most recent visit to ETB, I had a pistachio latte - made with coconut milk and pistachio syrup and served in a cup rimmed with pistachio cream - which was fantastic! The taste and quality of the beverages - including a variety of organic coffees and tea options ranging from mundane drip coffees to more complex, perfectly executed creations of -cinos and lattes that are available with dairy milk or non-dairy milk alternatives - and the ambiance do come at a price, which are slightly higher than your usual convenience store coffee but in line with the other coffee specialty shops on South Street - but it's worth it to me (as it should be to you) due to the quality of the product and its noble mission. PRO TIP #1: ETB doesn't have a private parking lot, but there is plenty of on-street parking off Speedwell Avenue and Cattano Avenue. Bring change or use the ParkMobile app for the meters ($1 per hour) Monday through Saturday from 8am til 6PM; all street meters are free Monday through Saturday after 6pm and all day on Sunday. If you can't find a spot on the street, the Morristown Parking Authority's Dalton Garage (@ 25 Cattano Avenue) are a short walk to ETB. read more

Excellent coffee in a calm, welcoming, spacious cafe environment / great work remote work. The mission of this shop is special, as they are dedicated to creating meaningful, gainful employment opportunities to folks with disabilities. So important and a great cause to support. They also feature merch - books, crafts - from local creators with disabilities. INFINITY stars! Upon entering, I just felt posh. I go to Morristown often but because this is not really on the main drag nor is it flashy or has a huge sign, I didn't know this place existed. I'm over the moon that I saw it on Yelp. It's spacious, clean, and minimally chic. I wanted to live here. If they had a sofa, I would. The pastry case was full of just baked items. Items baked on premises is so A+++!! We came for the St. Patrick's Day festivities so I went with one of their themed drinks, the Erin Go Bragh. A double shot matcha latte with gold sprinkles. So fun and so yummy! Oh, and their almond croissant that was still warm. HEAVEN! I love this place so much! And what I loved the most was the person who took my order and helped us with all my questions. They were soooo incredibly sweet and funny to boot! I love a charismatic personality and they had it!! Nice location and very friendly and inviting vibe but the coffee left a little bit to be desired and when that is your go-to jam, you need to do better in the coffee game. I went for a hot dark roast and the coffee was okay but nothing great. My wife ordered an iced caramel latte with oat milk but the were out of oat milk so she went with skim instead. She noted that the iced latte was okay but certainly nothing to write home about. Cool spot and if the coffee improves some then they may be on to something here. But for now, definitely some better options around. read more

Located in the new building across the street from the Hyatt, it's spacious with huge windows for lots of light and a variety of seating options for groups or flying solo. Looks like a relatively new coffee shop to me but I hadn't been to Morristown in a while. Could not remember but one of the parking garages I parked in was only $3 for 2 hrs. I went to Ethan and the Bean yesterday with a group. I loved that they had board games available for customers to use while playing.
