This is easily my new favorite restaurant since moving from Montclair. The front of the restaurant functions as a cafe, so that's what you are greeted with as soon as you walk in the door. The cafe is so cute and European; I instantly felt like I was transported to a trendy cafe in Paris. They have lots of desserts on display and a good variety of coffee. To be seated, you walk through the cafe to the back. The restaurant is very small, but it is not cramped at all and is very cute. There is even a fireplace! This is the perfect spot for a cozy winter date. I ordered the Eggplant Toast and my Husband ordered the Kofte. Everything was served up quickly. I have been craving most eggplant toast since. It was so delicious, and so filling for just a toast! It came packed with arugula, micro-greens, and pickled onions. The kofte was similarly delicious and came with lots of rice and salad on the side. For desert, we both shared a piece of baklava, which did not disappoint. I will definitely be a regular at Baklava. read more

This place is a total gem! With all the dining options in Morristown, this place really stands out. It's a small space so we called ahead since we were a party of 7, they were able to seat us easily. We had many items from the breakfast and lunch menu. Everything was made with fresh ingredients. The taste and presentation was 10/10. The chef even came by to check on us multiple times and gave us some lentil balls to try (they were amazing of course)! One note: servings were larger than we expected read more

It was lan empty spot on a weekday afternoon for a quick sandwich lunch . Street parking closeby was a lucky find . It's a cozy cafe with lovely seasonal hand drawn wall art . We didn't sweep too much on the menu . Looked for couple of Veggie sandwiches. Our first pick was the Eggplant toast , cooked in olive oil tender eggplant that had subtle yet delightful flavors 2nd was the Falafel sandwich with the goodness of hummus and fresh crisp veggies wrapped in a soft toasted pita making it a wholesome meal . It was quick service , satisfying shared meal at an affordable price . If I am in the area, I would go back to try other menu items . read more

This little eatery stands out because of how warmly the owner welcomes you. It's as though you have stepped into her kitchen, and are awaiting something wonderful. The aesthetic is very appealing too! My friend loved the feta omelette so much that she attempted replicating it at home. The Turkish tea is a must order. In addition to Turkish tea, they have plenty of loose teas. If dining in the tea comes in a teapot. Charming! The Turkish coffee is excellent! One of the best cups I've had in a long time. I had menemen. I wish it had a bit more flavor, maybe more spice? I'm not familiar with the dish so I can't comment too much. The interior was a bit chilly so I would recommend bringing a sweater if you come in colder months. And the service was a bit confused. I suspect it was because there wasn't a clear delineation of who was waiting on what table. Nonetheless, this did not detract from what a wonderful time my friend and I had. We plan to return many times in the future! read more

Here's "Baklavaa" for my 500th Review! 7/28/23: Stopped in late Friday evening. Baklavaa is absolutely adorable! The cafe has wonderful Turkish delights. The adjoining shop has wonderful treats too! We sat in and ordered a Turkish coffee, Hot chocolate and mini baklava. The mini baklava is "off the charts" delicious! The café appears to be family owned. Everyone is friendly. Baklavaa has a great authentic vibe. So try it, you'll like it! Baklavaa is a wonderful addition to South St. in Morristown! Parking is mostly on the street. read more

Had a great lunch at this family run cafe! Stopped by Baklava with some friends for a quick and light lunch and we ended up sharing their manti, a light dough stuffed with lamb & onions served with yogurt, and an order of falafel and hummus. They were quite busy when we went on a Sunday afternoon but our food came out pretty quickly. Everything we ordered was tasty - the manti was doughy, and there were tiny bits of meat in each ball of dough. The temperature of the dish caught me by surprise - the yogurt made the dish cold, but the flavors were appetizing! My favorite was the falafel and hummus, particularly the hummus as it was very fresh and creamy. It paired perfectly with the pita and the vegetables on the side were refreshing. Would come back for a quick bite! read more

We stopped in late Wednesday evening right before closing, there were still ample desserts and options available for purchase however there was no staff by the register when we entered. We noticed staff cleaning in the rear of the restaurant and they definitely saw us walk in however we continued to wait for about 5-7 minutes and then left because no one was coming up to the register. I can't give an honest review other than the poor service we received upon entering this well known spot. Hoping the next time we are in the area the service is better. The fact I even said excuse me politely attempting to get staff to the register and I was ignored was frustrating. read more

Amazing and very large omelette. I had the Helen and Andy omelette..the onions were perfectly carmelized. The sweetness of the onion was a perfect compliment to the egg. First time I ever tried Turkish coffee. I love black coffee and espresso so this was perfect. This is a very nice quaint cafe. Very polite and friendly staff. Will definitely return. read more

Super excited to have a place like this in town! They have breakfast items, teas, coffees, and desserts. People are super friendly. Tried the Turkish tea which was served in glass cup. Need to be very careful with this because the class is piping hot and you need to wait before you can pick it up with your hands. Served black - the aroma was very pleasant. The taste was nice- not very powerful in flavor. The baklava was served in two small pieces with a lot of pistachios around it. It was enjoyable, but not my favorite baklava that I've ever had. It was a little hard and dense. I will come back to try the Turkish coffee and breakfast items. read more

Very good but outrageous prices. $6.40 for a regular iced tea and $16 for a lunch salad is unbelievable. I won't return.

Went for breakfast, got the omelets. Worst ever, barely any egg, just chuncky tomatoe stew. Coffee was so-so . Service was non existent. The guy who sat us said nothing. The girl at the counter barely said hello.. the place is cute, so we thought it would be better. read more

Went here based on reviews and it DOES NOT DISAPPOINT. I Have a 19 month old toddler and they were so good with him. He also devoured the feta omelette. Honestly anytime my son is able to eat well at a restaurant...it's a winner. Beyond that, it's a halal joint that has the holy Grail of middle east food: beef pepperoni. Stopped here for a coffee on the recommendation of my barber. I got a white chocolate mocha latte and a Turkish dish that looked so good and was. It was a pie slice with pasta and dough. Pic is attached. Can't remember the name but it was amazing. The latte was good took and freshly made. There is a diminution in this mall place and it is up a few steps. Reminds me of a train car. The service was good, although I did wait at the counter to be helped a little longer than expected. The staff is friendly but the woman couldn't make the drink, she had to get someone else to do it. The ambiance is quaint. I'll definitely be back for the Turkish dish and maybe just a regular coffee. They are owned by the fruit and nuts place next door called Apricot. read more

It's a charming and tiny little restaurant/cafe, I did an order to go. The baklava cheesecake was scrumptious! The cheesecake filling used for it was light and creamy and not too heavy, the baklava used to top it was also just the perfect amount of sweetness. Their coffee was good and also not too sweet, but the right amount of sweetness which I appreciated. The cream filled baklava was ok not a fave, but the cheese stuffed bread was good! Service was good and the woman who does the cooking was very kind and sweet! read more
