Chocoholic Chiffon Cake

The parties are always so good and fresh. I ordered my sister a birthday cake online and it was the easiest seamless thing ever. They made lick up super simple. They even provided a cake cutter, candles and matches. The place is large with plenty of cases with pastries and bread. The workers are nice and helpful. The pace is super cleans and crumb free considering it's a bakery. The decor is soft on the eyes.

I want to give a shout out to this business! I was talking to the cashier today and he mentioned people find the parking to be a problem. Parking is so EASY and FREE! GPS/navigation takes you right to the SOFI Parking Garage where you"ll see designated spots marked PARIS BAQUETTE Go to the elevator and go to floor 1, street level and turn right. They have cute tables and chairs outside. The staff is so nice and helpful! Pastries are amazing, nothing better around the area! Open the app and start getting rewards!

Coffee Croissant Donut

Super cute & clean inside, so many pastries to choose from that all look amazing. The coffee croissant donut might be the best donut I've ever had. The iced pistachio latte was pretty good too, but the flavor tasted more like an artificial almond taste than pistachio. Overall good experience!

Strawberry Soft Cream Cake Slice

Love this addition to Morristown!!! We came here after dinner for a treat. Love that this place is open late for post-dinner dessert. The signature strawberry cake slice is really good - not too sweet! Strawberries were fresh. Our coffees could have been made a bit hotter - for someone's espresso they used cold milk instead of warm. The milk should be warmed up and steamed. I had a cappuccino and it was pretty good. Overall, very happy with this spot. The parking is a little annoying and you need to go into the garage (or if you get dinner in town you can just walk over).

Wonderful. Very fresh and full of flavors. The food was being restocked as fast as people filling their boxes.

The coffee croissant donut was good, but I'm not a huge custard/cream fan.

You can really taste the quality and care that goes into the food. I first fell in love with Tatte when visiting their locations in Boston, so I was beyond happy to see them open in Jersey and I'm happy to say it completely lives up to the hype. The space is bright, stylish, and inviting, making it a great spot for anything from a quick coffee and pastry to a more relaxed breakfast or lunch. The menu offers so many tempting options that it's hard to choose, and everything I've tried has been spot on. Whether you're already a Tatte fan or visiting for the first time, the Morristown location is absolutely worth a stop. It's quickly become a go-to for high-quality food, great coffee, great service and a consistently enjoyable experience.

It was sweeter than I wanted but ok. My bill came to $30 so it's a bit pricey. It is very busy during lunch period especially with Deloitte and Sanofi offices there. Parking: the garage to the right is not a public garage. It's for employees. There is a garage opening off of Spring street with maybe 20 public spots. If you can't park there, the other best option is behind Dunkin. I'm not rushing to go back ...

The staff was friendly and patient when we decided on what to order. Five items were tried, and each will be described below. Black & White Cookie ($4.50) - This was a traditional sweet that was done right. There was a nice balance of the chocolate and vanilla flavoring while the cookie was not too soft or hard. Chocolate & Vanilla Pretzel ($5.50) - This was very interesting. It was not overly sweet and was large. It was just a different type of pretzel. It was a tad dry, but not bad. Pumpkin Donut ($3) - This had a nice texture, but the actual donut did not have enough sugar I thought. The pumpkin frosting was just right though. Cinabun ($5) - This was very solid. It looked like it was going to be filling, but it was lighter than imagined. The cream cheese frosting was too much for me, but it had a nice texture. Swiss Chalet Wrap ($13.99) - This came with fried eggplant, arugula, tomato bruschetta, and a balsamic dressing. This was my favorite item tried, no doubt. The wrap was filled and nicely made with a good balance of the ingredients. The eggplant was fried ideally too. It was a well put together wrap. The coleslaw that was provided was plain, but there was much provided anyway. Will I go back? I would.

They ended up not enjoying it, so that's why there's some missing and none of us wanted to eat it anymore! Spoke to Suzi when picking up the cake and explained to her that the cake would not be eaten on the day of, but instead two days later. The cake was for September 1st and that happened to be Labor Day so I had to pick it up earlier! She said, "That's fine," and it can be stored in the fridge for up to a week and in the freezer for up to three months. So, not sure why there's a sense of judgement, cakes should be able to be stored for longer periods of time! And we wanted to order from a bakery specifically, since it was a special occasion. Not sure what your reference to a "squished" cake has to do with it food will accumulate residue in containers overtime! 9/12/25 From seeing professional pictures online of the beautiful cakes on Google Reviews of Suzi Cakes and good reviews on Yelp, I genuinely thought that the red velvet cake I ordered over the phone with Suzi would be amazing. Boy, was I wrong. I had to throw out the cake after 6 days because no one wanted to eat it anymore. We gave some part of the cake away to a relative, so we didn't consume much...not sure if they enjoyed it either. There were 'red' flags that I noticed when placing an order with Suzi. I chose to ignore them because I needed a nicely catered cake for my sister's birthday. Suzi sounded very direct over the phone and sometimes dismissive, so I felt that I needed to truly know and prepare for how I wanted my cake each time I called. I could not go in person to explain or show pictures due to the distance from her business in East Hanover. Suzi gave me the listed price of $90, and I personally thought it was overpriced for a 7-inch, single-tiered cake. I originally did not want to place with Suzi, but I could not find a place around me that would do a red velvet cake legitimately, besides Coco Luxe Cakes in Peapack and Gladstone. Coco Luxe discontinued their red velvet cakes, unfortunately, which is the cake I truly needed, hence why I ordered here. Next, trying to find the suite number and building for this place was a nightmare, another red flag. It's very tight behind some train tracks and very easy to miss. Thank goodness for advanced technology and Google Maps/Street View for helping me navigate. I called Suzi on the phone so she could service me at the front desk to get the cake. I picked up the cake and truly believed that I would make my sister's birthday special, and I planned everything perfectly. I stored the cake in the fridge for 2 days before eating and followed all of Suzi's storage directions. We tried the cake and it was awful. It had a fermented-like taste, and we could not eat it. I saw a similar review on Yelp of someone having Suzi make their cake for their wedding, and their wedding guests could not eat it; it was that bad. I was hoping that would not happen to me, but it did, surely. The icing was hard, dry, and chunky; the cake itself lacked flavor. I got a red velvet cake from ShopRite in July for $16.99, and it tasted way better; just the cake was a little dry. I called Suzi to give her some feedback so she knows. She informed me to come back so she could examine the taste, but at that point, we threw the cake out. $90 truly wasted. Can't really ask for a refund, I guess, because I never came back to her about it, because her location is almost an hour from my house...not sustainable for me. Despite the good reviews, I will never go to Suzi Cakes again. I will stick with another recommendation I got from a relative for Coco Luxe in Peapack if I want a professionally made cake from a bakery. My sister's birthday was ruined, and no one in my family liked the cake. The price for the cake was outrageous, and compared to other local bakeries in the area, the price does not justify the taste. The presentation of the cake is good, but the taste is abysmal. Save yourself, your palate, and your wallet by looking elsewhere!

Suzi Cakes could not have been nicer or more accommodating with just 2 weeks notice. The communication was so simple, professional, and pleasant. They delivered the cake exactly when they said (in the pouring rain) and even placed the topper and flowers on it before leaving! And then the cake itself...oh my yum! We did Vanilla with Oreo Mousse filling and it was DELICIOUS. The cake was so soft, fluffy, and flavorful. And the filling was awesome! I know I've found my new bakery for future events!!! Thank you Suzi Cakes!
