Omg I was just in the bakery. I got a regular size cake 7 in out of the case A shadow cake they had the nerve to charge me $47. Is that outrageous I felt like going back and returning it. Needed it for an anniversary. Hope I hear from the manager to get my money back. It's crazy. I called and did talk to the manager. She said their prices went up but for $25 I could get this cake at another bakery unbelievable.

The bakery goods are phenomenal! I always make it a point to get pastries and cookies from here. They have good coffee as well. And savory food options which are good for lunch or a quick bite. Bakery is definitely pricey and some of the sandwich options are on the higher end too. It's always bustling In here which is good and there are tons of dine in seating. The servers are always very friendly and answer questions nicely! The line to order layout is tricky though because even if you're not ordering bakery I think you're supposed to still follow the line for bakery. I'm not really sure sometimes I just stand at the register and wait.

I've gone past this place for years and had never gone in. The interior was larger than I expected and seemed very clean and comfy and cozy. I parked on street parking since the parking lot was full even on a weekday monday: I got the breakfast sandwich on a bagel and it was solid. Their cream puff was also yummy. However, the oreo supreme cookie had a stale texture and off taste/smell. The biscoff and chocolate mousse seemed good at first but the mousse was getting oddly stiff and was unappealing . Service was good.

Still maintaining their 3 stars. Picked a 9" tiramisu cake. THAT was excellent. But while I was at it, also got 4 mini cupcakes at $1.75 A PIECE!!! They were dry dry DRY!! I thought maybe it was because they came from the fridge so I let them come to room temp. Even worse. Thank God for the icing or I would've choked. Nevertheless, the tiramisu cake was delicious. The service is always crazy in here. So much staff because they're always socializing amongst themselves instead of being eager to help. That tip jar is just gonna stay empty.

Absolutely LOVE this bakery! So much to choose from and they serve lunch too! Bought a tiramisu cake for my sons birthday. The waitress asked if we wanted writing? Sure! Very unique way to do so!! Also bought the almond pretzel and a cigar roll.

Something sweet and Something savory before we hit the road. Yum! There's no shortage of places to eat while hanging out in Morristown, NJ. Sometimes though, you just wanna snack on something tasty to hold you over before you head out. Well, that's what today was, and we satisfied our cravings with a quick Lorraine and a blueberry crumb pie at Swiss Chalet Bakery & Cafe. To be honest, did eating here transport me to the hills of Switzerland... no, but it has an open ambiance, great outdoor seating, and a clean atmosphere; also, the tasty treats made for a yummy midafternoon meal. The mini quiche Lorraine was savory, buttery, flakey, and flavorful which surely put a smile on my face; while the blueberry crumb pie was sweet, crumby, and a perfect compliment for our precious dish. All around, I'm glad we stopped in and look forward to tasting more delicious treats in the future. Yum! I have gone here so many times and a loyal customer to this fine and beautiful establishment The bakery is TOP NOTCH. I've gotten a few cakes for special occasions and they even make them gluten free. Hands down the best gluten free cakes I've ever had All the baked goods have yet to amaze me. Being a paisano I love my tri colors. They do it better than any I've ever had and not even Italian. Same goes for the cannoli. All the speciality pastries I've ever had have never been short of perfect. Now. The food?? ALSO A KNOCKOUT. Every meal I've had there has been spectacular. If you're a sweet potato fry lever I don't think you'll have a better one than their's. The staff is so friendly and helpful. It feels like a home atmosphere. Def make your way here

@SwissChaletBakery - Salads, sandwiches, desserts. Had the best afternoon meeting in person with my friend and catching up after being insta friends for so many years. We ordered some dessert and coffee. It was good. The day was perfect to walk around downtown and admire all the beautiful architecture, churches and fun foodie shops.

First time customer, stopped in for some treats and tried to engage the young man at the counter. He couldn't even smile or pretend to be be happy. Oh well, I guess it was a tough Monday morning for him. Cakes looked nice, we purchased some items and of course a "black and white" cookie! Decent but turned off by the service.

They were of the potato variety. Since they were made to order, they came out piping hot. My thoughts on each are below. The temperature really made a difference as I tried a few bites after they cooled down and it was not the same. All of the donuts were appropriate in size and somehow appeared very light. I wonder if that was attributed to the potato variety. I just could not believe how much the hot temperature made a difference in all four. Original Cinnamon Sugar - This was very good with plenty of sugar present. Raspberry Jam - There was a ton of raspberry jam here and it was great. Nutella - There was an excessive amount of Nutella here and it worked out well with the hot donut texture. It was unreal. Cannoli - This was great too. I really liked the melted chocolate chips in the cannoli cream. Will I go back? Oh, easily.

Verrilli is a charming, hole in the wall bakery with a cozy interior. Although seating is limited inside, they will have a lot of outdoor seating when summer rolls around. There is a small parking lot out front, but may need to street park when it gets busy. The owner is incredibly warm and welcoming. Getting to the highlight: the potato donuts!! They also have other small desserts like cannoli, cookies, biscotti, and pizza, burgers, fries - all freshly homemade. Anyway, ordered the cinnamon sugar and butter glaze donut, (fresh and best enjoyed hot) and it was so light, fluffy, and not overly sweet!Looking to try their other donuts on the menu! Note: Owner mentioned this is BYOB! And can mix and match donut toppings!

They ended up not enjoying it, so that's why there's some missing and none of us wanted to eat it anymore! Spoke to Suzi when picking up the cake and explained to her that the cake would not be eaten on the day of, but instead two days later. The cake was for September 1st and that happened to be Labor Day so I had to pick it up earlier! She said, "That's fine," and it can be stored in the fridge for up to a week and in the freezer for up to three months. So, not sure why there's a sense of judgement, cakes should be able to be stored for longer periods of time! And we wanted to order from a bakery specifically, since it was a special occasion. Not sure what your reference to a "squished" cake has to do with it food will accumulate residue in containers overtime! 9/12/25 From seeing professional pictures online of the beautiful cakes on Google Reviews of Suzi Cakes and good reviews on Yelp, I genuinely thought that the red velvet cake I ordered over the phone with Suzi would be amazing. Boy, was I wrong. I had to throw out the cake after 6 days because no one wanted to eat it anymore. We gave some part of the cake away to a relative, so we didn't consume much...not sure if they enjoyed it either. There were 'red' flags that I noticed when placing an order with Suzi. I chose to ignore them because I needed a nicely catered cake for my sister's birthday. Suzi sounded very direct over the phone and sometimes dismissive, so I felt that I needed to truly know and prepare for how I wanted my cake each time I called. I could not go in person to explain or show pictures due to the distance from her business in East Hanover. Suzi gave me the listed price of $90, and I personally thought it was overpriced for a 7-inch, single-tiered cake. I originally did not want to place with Suzi, but I could not find a place around me that would do a red velvet cake legitimately, besides Coco Luxe Cakes in Peapack and Gladstone. Coco Luxe discontinued their red velvet cakes, unfortunately, which is the cake I truly needed, hence why I ordered here. Next, trying to find the suite number and building for this place was a nightmare, another red flag. It's very tight behind some train tracks and very easy to miss. Thank goodness for advanced technology and Google Maps/Street View for helping me navigate. I called Suzi on the phone so she could service me at the front desk to get the cake. I picked up the cake and truly believed that I would make my sister's birthday special, and I planned everything perfectly. I stored the cake in the fridge for 2 days before eating and followed all of Suzi's storage directions. We tried the cake and it was awful. It had a fermented-like taste, and we could not eat it. I saw a similar review on Yelp of someone having Suzi make their cake for their wedding, and their wedding guests could not eat it; it was that bad. I was hoping that would not happen to me, but it did, surely. The icing was hard, dry, and chunky; the cake itself lacked flavor. I got a red velvet cake from ShopRite in July for $16.99, and it tasted way better; just the cake was a little dry. I called Suzi to give her some feedback so she knows. She informed me to come back so she could examine the taste, but at that point, we threw the cake out. $90 truly wasted. Can't really ask for a refund, I guess, because I never came back to her about it, because her location is almost an hour from my house...not sustainable for me. Despite the good reviews, I will never go to Suzi Cakes again. I will stick with another recommendation I got from a relative for Coco Luxe in Peapack if I want a professionally made cake from a bakery. My sister's birthday was ruined, and no one in my family liked the cake. The price for the cake was outrageous, and compared to other local bakeries in the area, the price does not justify the taste. The presentation of the cake is good, but the taste is abysmal. Save yourself, your palate, and your wallet by looking elsewhere!

Suzi Cakes could not have been nicer or more accommodating with just 2 weeks notice. The communication was so simple, professional, and pleasant. They delivered the cake exactly when they said (in the pouring rain) and even placed the topper and flowers on it before leaving! And then the cake itself...oh my yum! We did Vanilla with Oreo Mousse filling and it was DELICIOUS. The cake was so soft, fluffy, and flavorful. And the filling was awesome! I know I've found my new bakery for future events!!! Thank you Suzi Cakes!
