The chicken wings had a good crisp, the side salad I asked for was fresh, the cheese steak roll was pillowy soft and was nicely cheesy, and most importantly, the gentleman behind the bar who took our order was a fantastically nice guy The cons. The garlic parm sauce on the wings were a bit lacking and the amount of meat on the cheese steak was only half enough to really fill that long roll. And the most irksome thing was the 2,23 % "technology fee". No offense but WTH is that?????? If it was to use the credit card, it wasn't explained at all. Look, if you like a funky bar with good food and you are in the area, I would say check it out once in your life and form your opinion. But, for me, I just don't know how often

We were discussing burgers yesterday and Habit came up. I'd never eaten at one. He wanted one. Perfect. Pulls in at 8:45, takes a few minutes to figure out the ordering kiosk. I will therefore note this is an issue to anticipate. The order itself didn't seem to take too long. As for what came home with my friend: * Intrigued by the dragonfruit limeade. Would be something to keep in mind if I find myself at Habit again. * I enjoyed my burger. The patty was the weakest part, very plain and underwhelming. But the portabello mushroom and associated toppings? Mwah. That all made the sandwich. But the best burger places know how to make the meat score points. * My friend got the tempura green beans. Apparently those were just OK, maybe not tempuraed enough. I noticed when looking at the sides, every dipping sauce costs money besides ketchup packets (m'eh) and none of them really looked that interesting to me. So the upsides? Good value, tasty mushrooms. The downsides? Limited selections, uninspiring burger meat. I'll call it a strong 3 stars and if I do end up here (or another Habit) I will reconsider.

No "chef's interpretation." Just bun, beef, cheese. And somehow it absolutely delivered. The patty was smashed just right with crispy edges and a juicy center, and the cheese was properly melted like it actually respected the assignment. The bun held together the entire time, which already puts this place ahead of most burgers I have eaten in the last decade. No soggy collapse. No mid bite regret. Now let's talk fries. These fries are the kind that do not need explaining. Golden, crispy, slightly irregular as intended, and clearly fried by someone who knows exactly when to pull them. Add the dipping sauce and suddenly you are negotiating with yourself about whether to save some fries for later. You will not. This is comfort food done confidently. Not trying to be viral. Not chasing trends. Just quietly excellent food that makes you pause mid bite and think, "Yeah, this is it." If you are looking for * a burger that tastes like a burger * fries that disappear faster than planned * and a meal that leaves you full, happy, and slightly smug about your choice this place is it. I came hungry. I left impressed. I will absolutely be back, and next time I am ordering extra fries because I have learned my lesson. Highly recommend.

I remember it being an all-white plain fast food place, similar to the vibe of Five Guys. Well, this one's different, and maybe that's why it's one of the few Fudds still around. Much classier inside, wood paneled and amber lit. There's a back room for large parties or extra seating, or a cozy up-front section with comfy benches. Warning: the benches are low. Second warning: Fudds is still a place where you enter, walk up and order, and wait for your food. No table service. Some things don't change. Like the value. I ordered an ultimate bacon grilled cheese burger. Subbed elk and the price barely went up for that dark, meaty flavour. Ordered rare, they advised that they can't go below medium rare. Understood, and I went to wait. And wait. I could tell they make things fresh to order, and with a large 6-person order that came out just before mine, I'm sure that was the bulk of the wait. Burger arrived, I threw my veggies on for nutrition, some onion petal sauce for the fries (yup, just what you'd want to dip your onion rings into), and for good measure added cheese sauce to the four cheeses on the burger. Why not. Verdict: What a glorious burger Fudds makes. Even though they missed my request for a bun instead of the default Texas Toast - again, maybe thrown off by the large order before me - still delicious from beginning to end. The meat was indeed nice and dark pink inside, something most burgers fail to achieve. Deep rich elk taste throughout validated my upgrade. The fries are also top-notch - thick cut, seasoned well, and most importantly, unlimited! I went back for thirds, tried some different sauces each time, discovered the Cholula on the third attempt and realized I should have been slathering my food in that the whole time. But, with that, this was an incredibly long-overdue return, and I promise it won't be twenty-*mumble* something years before the next. I am so glad that not only has Fudds survived, but they've saved a location most convenient to me.

We got two Double Shack Burgers, cheese fries, and onion rings, all delivered for a total of a bit over $60 (expensive!). Everything arrived cold and the burgers came disheveled. I understand that it can be hard to keep food warm for delivery, but the burgers/food could've been wrapped in foil, or something to help it travel and stay warm, at least. Our order of onion rings was quite expensive and we only got 7, very small rings. This was not enough for me and my husband to share as we had planned. The fries arrived soggy, but the cheese sauce was tasty at least. The burgers similarly seemed to have corners cut. The lettuce and tomato barely covered half the burger, and the burger was falling apart when it arrived. Since it was already falling apart, we decided to disassemble it and re-heat it, as it was cold. There was also no option to add pickles, which I would have appreciated. Overall we were able to revive everything in the airfryer, but I was still surprised by how Shake Shack seemed to skimp on the entire meal. Really disappointing!

Now it shall…read more Since this is a chain, I'll start with the food, and I will note that the food overall would be a solid 4 stars at minimum. With an asterisk. Because I got a fat sandwich, not a burger. But what a great menu variety to choose frome! It's the tastiest fat sandwich I ever had. It actually looked skinny when it showed up on the tray, but it turned out to be much deeper bread to compensate. Very high quality ingredients and seasoning compared to the infamous food trucks. My friend and I agreed that the fries are excellent, nice and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. However, I regret to inform you that Cheese Fries are really Cheez Fries, without actual cheese on them. (I bet I could order that... for an additional fee. The 50 cent upcharge looked too good to be true.) So now, the unfortunate reasons the 4 stars has dropped to a 3. First, I agree with what many others have said here - this is the wrong environment for Denville. You're walking into an industrial setting. The raised roof reveals some rough edges to the top of the bathroom and above the kitchen, both of which feature various objects stored on those tops. Really poor design unless you're a test kitchen. And design alone wouldn't be enough to deduct a star, except the service was a bit of an issue. There were only two staff present, and they were both cooks, which means one of them had to stop cooking every time a customer had a request. Service was still fairly quick and friendly, but I really can't think of another time I have experienced something like this. One star will be given back with either of the above reductions fixed. If all is fixed... I will come back, order an actual burger with actual (upcharged) cheese on my fries, and reconsider.
