    Cheesesteak wrap

Met with a friend for lunch. First time there and it was a great experience. Food was terrific. Cheesesteak wrap was a special and love a good curly fry. Lemon drop martini was also great. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful in telling us about the menu. Will definitely go back.

Work lunch for 5 today. What a great spot. Cozy charming interior with tons of space btwn tables. Staff were super friendly and on top of things. Apps and entrees were spot on. We did a little fried calamari and nachos to start. Both were demolished. Two colleagues had grilled chicken Caesar salad one had a wrap and one had a sandwich. I had a fried chicken cutlet rollatini with spinach, sausage and Fontella cheese. Some entrées allow two side dishes and they have a very extensive array of sides. I got roasted Italian long hearts and onion rings. They also have grilled asparagus, cream, spinach, french fries half a dozen other things. Tavern 73 In! 7+3 makes it perfect 10

Came here on a Friday night. The place was busy but there was no wait to be seated. Started off with a red sangria ($12) which was solid. The coconut shrimp ($16) was crispy on the outside and you can def taste the texture of the coconut shaves, the sweet sauce that came with it was good as well. For my main, I got the tavern steak sandwich ($23) with onion rings. The steak sandwich was pretty big servicing and was solid. The onion rings were tasty as well and there is no up-charge for it. Overall, I had a good experience, everything from the service to the food was great. * Parking on premise

The lady at the front was so nice and friendly ! Kids enjoyed their kids meal. I love that they give such a generous portion for them and the ice cream included is perfect ! My husband and i got salads which we thoroughly enjoyed. My summer salad was filling ! Loved sitting outside in their patio! Large parking lot.

After finishing a hot date at NJPAC, Wifey wanted a burger closer to home. Since I had been to Tavern 73 a few weeks ago she suggested we try it for dinner. The place wasn't packed, but still pretty full on a Sunday. We got a high top which was perfectly fine. Our very friendly waitress came with waters and took our drink orders - I ordered the Smoking Revolver (Bulleit bourbon, Kahlua, and orange bitters) and Wifey had the White Sangria. For our meals Wifey ordered what she came for - the Tavern Burger (just a burger with American Cheese and fries). I ordered the Surf & Turf Wrap (steak, shrimp, pico, chimichurri mayo, lettuce, avocado, and curly fries). Service for the food was slow (NOT the waitresses fault), but the food was really tasty. The burger was a LITTLE underdone, but better than overdone and Wifey thought it was great. Both of us thought the fries were delicious (I had curly wife had regular). My wrap was great, but a little soggy. Nice portion of shrimp, a little less steak, lots of avocado...could have used a pinch of salt. Place is very nice, bar area is set up nicely, great selection of beer and alcohol. There are TVs all around the place giving it a sports bar without being anything close to a sports bar. We will definitely be back!

This was my 2nd time and although I liked it the 1st time, I loved it the 2nd time. From the manager seating the 9 of us instantly, to the delicious cocktails and food (huge salads!), plus the great service from Nina, who even had no problem splitting the check 8 ways!@#, this place is definitely added to my rotation of work restaurants.

Breakfast nachos. Note the cold, unmelted cheese and cold eggs

Holy gentrification batman. Let me get this out of the way, ambiance is nice and the staff are wonderful. Now that we've established that, Jesus Christ us everything here horrifically unseasoned, bland and cold Breakfast nachos you could make with a hotel breakfast spread, and even then it would be warmer. What we got were cold eggs, cold, unseasoned pork, and unmelted cheese. The taco meat was not only well done, but it too lacked even the smallest amount of salt to season it. Bottom-line? Food is cold, completely unseasoned, and leaves Tavern 73 as just another generic, gentrified bar in an upper middle class food wasteland.

Definitely My Kinda Place!! Tavern 73 has got it going on from it's outstanding drink and menu options to it's newly renovated interior space this is absolutely one of my newest favorite local hot spots.   They've been in business now for about eight months and seem to be running on all cylinders by this point with fast friendly and efficient service both at the Bar and sit-down Table Service, very positive interactions with this incredible Staff who are extremely welcoming with their hospitality. Come And Get Your Munch On!!

Underwhelmed. They don't take reservations. Waited an hour at 7pm on a very busy Saturday night. No big deal. Table was ready at 7:57. Server was friendly and attentive. Drink orders were taken. My cranberry mule was delicious. My dinner companion's margarita was way too strong. (Not a bad thing for some people!) Appetizers - chips and guacamole was very good. Side salads were tasty and fresh. Short rib spring rolls were good. The salad with Gorgonzola, walnuts and apples was the absolute HIGHLIGHT of the meal. I would go back and order it tomorrow, it was that good. The meals - I had fish tacos. They were everything you'd expect a fish taco to be. On par with Bahama Breeze. My husband had the Ruben. It was heavy. Our dining partners had the steak sandwich and the carne asada tacos with fries. Sandwiches were good, but the fries were soggy and loaded down with oil. My friend ate one and that was it. I also ordered a side of kale and sprouts with bacon, thinking it would be roasted like most steakhouses and restaurants do. Unfortunately the kale and sprouts came out boiled. It was gelatinous and unappetizing. $9 thrown in the garbage. The whole bill came to about $190 for 4 of us?? Which wasn't that bad, but we all left a little unsatisfied with the food. In

First time there Nice place the mussels were delicious. My daughters steak was over cooked so she wasn't happy and the espresso martinis were very disappointing and un drinkable but I would try again maybe it was just a bad day

We did a quick search, saw Jersey Spirits Distilling and decided to give it a try. I would have never known it existed since it's tucked in the back of an industrial complex. From the outside, it looks small, but it's pretty spacious inside. When we were seated, our server gave us a brief history of the distillery. I love that it's family-owned and all of the ingredients are locally sourced from NJ. There are so many different cocktail options, and some of them were so creative in their presentation. Since I was having a difficult time deciding, I went with the Espresso Martini flight. It came with a Traditional, Pistachio, and Jelly Ring martini. I also ordered a cookie butter martini. My favorite was definitely the creamy pistachio martini. I am so happy to have discovered Jersey Spirits Distilling and can't wait to visit again soon!

We started with the cucumber, pistachio, and yogurt, with harissa and sesame seeds. Like a very creative and refreshing Mediterranean pickle. Delish. We also got the Mediterranean salad. It was much more interesting than your typical Greek salad. Excellent feta, good cucumbers and tomato, and nice little pita chip slivers. They also start you with very good bread with olive oil and some olives. For our entrées we got Chilean Seabass, Branzino fillet, and Mariscada, which is a big shellfish stew. While it's not indicated on the menu, all entrées come with saffron rice, sautéed vegetables... And their homemade potato chips. The person who got the Mariscada was so happy. It had every kind of fresh shellfish and really was enough for two people. I really enjoyed the Branzino fillet, which came with a lemon caper sauce. It was huge and very delicious, I had to give some pieces away. The Chilean Seabass is the most expensive, at $55. For me, I felt that I have had better Seabass and I preferred my $36 branzino. But the person who ordered it was thrilled and thought it was amazing, and gets it every time here. I loved the saffron rice, and the homemade potato chips. I didn't eat the sautéed vegetables (there was just too much food everywhere!). But the person who tried them thought they were extremely delicious. Overall, this is a great place for sharing, with tons of food. And the cucumber, harissa yogurt, pistachio and sesame seed appetizer showed that they are innovating and not just doing your parent's Don Pepe. Oliver was also a super server as was everyone else on the team. And we enjoyed the patio... though I must say that being over Route 46 traffic is not the most atmospheric, and I wish the patio was on the other side! But who can complain with all this yummy food? When we arrived (around 7pm) there was only one occupied table in the restaurant. The room was cold and drafty, as if they were trying to save money on the heating. We had to change tables twice trying to avoid the chill which was forcing my mother to keep her winter coat on. On our first visit, the breadbasket included some delicious garlic bread. That was gone this time. Previously, the staff immediately set out an ice bucket and glasses when they saw our bottle of white wine. This time we had to ask for both, twice. Throughout the meal, we watched our waiter standing in the doorway to the kitchen engrossed in whatever he was doing with his cell phone. Given that the restaurant was virtually empty, the fact that we couldn't get his attention when we started to have issues was frustrating. I chose the Calamari Chino again as an appetizer. I enjoyed it so much on our first visit that it was the one thing I knew I wanted again. Unfortunately, I ended up sending it back. Although it looked like the same dish at first glance, the crispy and tender calamari I loved the first time was now soggy and rubbery. My mother again went with the Grilled Norwegian Salmon, which she enjoyed. My father had the Paccheri & Shrimp alla Vodka, which is described on the menu as sautéed wild shrimp, over paccheri pasta with a creamy vodka sauce, oyster mushrooms, & green peas. He wasn't a fan of this. It seemed to be missing both the oyster mushrooms, & the green peas. He also described it as being "goopy" and thought it tasted artificially thickened in some way. I ordered the New Coconut Jumbo Shrimp, which is served with grilled asparagus, white rice, in an orange marmalade sauce. I had high hopes for this since coconut shrimp is a favorite of mine. The presentation was quite nice, but the shrimp was overcooked, and the coconut coating was nearly burnt. I believe it had been left in the deep fryer too long. Frankly, if I had not sent back the calamari I would have sent this back as well. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant still looks nice, but it seems like they're just going through the motions now. I don't see us returning.

I booked our table in the Lounge area rather than the dining room and glad I did as it seems to be more festive! Food-wise we ate the Pollo Parm Pizza and the Hot Calamari. Both were good but nothing spectacular. We ordered festive drinks which were $18 each -- a little high but I get it. We skipped on dessert and got dessert drinks instead - I had the Tiramisu Martini which was delightful!

Chopped salad - a variety of mixed greens and veggies well chopped. Nicely prepared. Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos - 3 tacos with large chunks of fresh Mahi Mahi. Garnished with red cabbage slaw and guac. Served with a side of rice. Top notch fish tacos that I highly recommend. The exterior is adorned with beautiful plants and flowers. The interior is bright and contemporary with a farmhouse vibe. Plus plenty of perfectly positioned screens to watch your favorite game. The service was on point for the most part. Our server was great but I think he was working too many tables bye himself so we kinda missed the opportunity to order a second round of drinks. We are definitely adding Black Rabbit to our regular rotation. Give it a try.

[Blowing on my nails.] The menu is a mix of American comfort food and gastropub classics, but with flair, and has a bit of everything to satisfy different palates. Our eyes were probably bigger than our stomachs as we ordered 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 cocktails, and it was an enormous amount of food. The portions are definitely what you'd call hearty, and everything was very tasty. Thursdays are all day happy hour so we picked the fried calamari appetizer at the HH price (still a full and generous plate and didn't seem like a downsized version) which were tender and well-battered, as well as the hot honey wings which were meaty and substantial. The short rib parpadelle with housemade pasta and a perfectly medium-rare, well seasoned hanger steak with truffle fries completed our satisfying and belly-stuffing meal. The cocktails are serious as well - the presence of a drink with egg white is my personal litmus test for a bar that knows what it's doing, so the Thyme to Bloom special had my name on it. I'm salivating just looking at photos of dishes I didn't order, and am already plotting my return!
