We came on a Saturday at 5 o'clock to celebrate our anniversary which was a good time. Not to busy yet. We were greeted by the friendly hostess and we had our choice where we wanted to sit. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. Now the best part was the pasta in the cheese wheel. The whole presentation is done table side and wow it is so delicious!! This is a must! My husband had the shrimp and fillet of salt over risotto. It was good, but it was a little bland. For dessert again table side they make strawberry & banana in butter and alcohol sauce then pour it over ice cream! So good! Our friends wanted to take us out to celebrate hubby's graduation and suggested Bella Rosa. We haven't been here since it was Milagros (a Mexican restaurant and before that TGiFridays) so we were excited to try something new. It was so beautifully decorated and very lively with music and happy people. The hostess checked our reservations and headed up to the booths by the bar. We asked to be seated in the lower section of the restaurant so we can talk and they easily accommodated the request. The service and attention during our meal were incredible. There were several people filling our glasses, clearing plates and providing excellent service without being intrusive. They brought bread to the table, took away wine glasses since we weren't having wine and brought a delightful appetizer platter of hard cheese, meat, olives and veggies. Yum! I normally don't order many appetizers but our friend insisted since he loves them and likes to share. We ordered the calamari, meatballs and roasted artichoke hearts. They brought octopus instead of calamari, but quickly corrected the error. I'm not gonna lie, the octopus looked really good, I would've been ok w/ keeping it. (I recently discovered how much I enjoy it) the calamari was good and the sauce fresh. The meatballs were tender, not overly seasoned. The artichokes didn't look grilled or the way described in the specials. We wondered if it was a different but it was lemony and yummy a we went with it. See pictures for how cool the 3 looked. Plenty of food and very filling. I ordered my signature Cosmo which hit the spot, chilled and the perfect amount of flavors without being too alcohol heavy. No one else drank but I toasted hubby anyway. I ordered the beet salad w/ nuts, goat cheese and added chicken. It was huge! I had it for dinner again last night. The chicken could have been more flavorful or seasoned better but the salad had a lot going on so it was fine. My friend got the beet salad ( no chicken) and burger which she devoured. Some skinny people can eat! My husband ordered a chicken dish but wasn't thrilled with it. The chicken had little flavor and it was overwhelmed with tomatoes and had raw onion. It didn't look great, but he isn't one to complain, especially if he wasn't paying. My friend got the gnocchi bolognese and added chicken. It was a lot of food and he seemed to really enjoy it! We sat for about 3 hours and were not rushed in any way which was super nice. We were so full but somehow split a piece of ricotta cheesecake and the men got cappuccino. All good. Overall, the appetizers were my husband's favorites ( we were celebrating him) the place was beautiful, the owner and servers went above and beyond, and we had a lovely evening. I will go back for sure. I liked that the menu offered both lighter fares, lower cost items, high end steaks and even one of those cheese wheels that look so cool but I can't eat that much pasta! This Italian restaurant has one of the most beautiful decorations, all florals and yet very classy and elegant looking. The appetizers were good and the main course of chicken gnocchi was so good that I ate it without taking a photo. The staff were very professional and had a great time. We LOVE this place! I am a big fan of their other restaurants, so this Italian and Mexican "freestyle" spot was sure to knock it out of the park. Their full service bar makes a huge variety of cocktails, we enjoyed the margarita flight! Also highly recommend the meatball appetizer and of course their legendary pasta wheel! My girl friends n I stopped by for lunch at bellarosa 2 days ago. Newbie in the location where TGIF was. Plenty of parking. Lovely restaurant tastefully decorated . Friendly welcoming staff. We decided on prefix menu for $26.95 I had the meatballs appetizer. 4 large meatballs in sauce n it tasted good. Only had 2 n took the other 2 home. There was chicken parm on menu but I asked if I could get the eggplant parmigiana instead n waiter obliged. Was very good n large portion so took half home. And the tiramisu too I took home it was delicious. One fiend had the Cesar salad w chicken cutlet n was a big portion n she said it tasted good. Another had the artichoke appetizer w cod . Tasted good n cod was really good n generous portion. The 5 TG one had the fettuccini w seafood. Big portion n generous w shrimp etc. Thank you for a great lunch. Still have LO for lunch today. Very disappointing experience at Bella Rosa. I ordered a burger that was so undercooked there was blood soaking into the roll. Needless to say, I sent it back. My son ordered the fish tacos, which were overwhelmed with dressing. They were so soggy and mushy that they were difficult to eat and swallow. For $24 plus gratuity, we expected much better quality. To make matters worse, even the water had an unpleasant taste. Overall, the food quality was poor, the prices were high for what was served, and the entire experience was disappointing. There are many better dining options in the area. Save your money and spend it elsewhere. read more

Had a reservation for what I thought was Mother's Day brunch. They serve brunch every Saturday and Sunday except apparently on Mother's Day. There was no indication on their website that today of all days would only be the dinner menu. Even in the lobby they have their brunch menu displayed. Ordered the special linguine pecorino, what a mess of a presentation and not prepared properly- the cheese was clumped because the waiter didn't know how to cook it properly. Went to Bella Rosa last Saturday night, and can't really express how wonderful everything was. The restaurant gave me Miami vibes, nicely decorated with plenty of tables and an awesome bar. We were seated at a nice large table by the friendly host. We ordered a few drinks, which were really good. Two of us ordered a specialty sangria, these were a really good choice. Dinner was fantastic, everyone loved their dishes and three of the four of us had plenty to take home. The dishes were quite large and well worth the menu prices. I had the seafood pasta and it was loaded with lobster and scallops with four jumbo shrimp. Each of us really enjoyed our choices, and can't wait to go back to try a new dish. Service is so wonderful, a really good server to guest ratio, which I always consider a hallmark of a well run restaurant. They are under the same ownership as Barka, and you can certainly tell that in all aspects. Leo, our host was super gracious and you can tell he enjoys what he's doing. All the servers were knowledgeable and kept checking glasses, etc. You never have to hunt anyone down, they really had everything running so beautifully. They all seem so dedicated to making sure you're happy, a really nice thing after a long week. My wife and I utilized one of our date nights to give BellaRosa a try. From the ambiance when you first walk in, you can tell this a romantic place with the beautiful mood lighting and it's very nicely decorated. We were seated right away in a booth. And the food was absolutely delicious. My favorite is that they spin themselves as an Italian restaurant, but there's a healthy mix between Italian, Mexican, and some other delicious elements sprinkled in there. Our waiter was attentive, but I got the feeling that they were short staffed as between courses, there was a bit of a wait to be able to get to the next thing. All the food we had was delicious between the boneless ribeye, the elote corn, and pasta bolognese, and finished off with the delightful flambé!! Party of four this past NY Eve. 1st time here, came here because this group also owns Barka close by to this location. They renovated the old Fridays building on Lackawanna ave. and rte. 46. Restaurant is very nice inside with nice big booths. On this night they did not have enough bar staff and apparently kitchen staff. Servers were abundant and very good! Apparently their POS system failed in the middle of dinner service and it created a problem, and a long delay, which is very understandable!! Food was excellent!! We had 2 fish specials (excellent) and 2 really great chicken dishes as well as 2 very good appetizers. This restaurant is apparently owned and run by a professional restaurant group that knows how to run a business and we happened to picked a night when their normal operations were disrupted. So me and my daughter went to the restaurant tonight and we started with a bottle of wine that they were out of. They suggested another and we accepted it. We ordered apps: clams oreganato & mozzarella & Carrozza. Clams not good and the Mozzarella was burnt and tasted like a Brie cheese other than mozzarella. We ordered Lamb shank and the Bronzino. So when the entrees came out. Mine was set in front of me while the manager came out with my daughter's fish and deboned the fish in front of us. The best part of the fish is the crispy skin and the head and skin was removed. So the deboning was not done properly and my daughter still had bones in fish. Sometimes it's better to leave whole and experience the flaky fish itself and let oneself do the work because that's why we order seafood. The subsidiary restaurant is the Barka and that hands down is the best restaurant I have ever eaten at. Bella Rosa's service was ok. The table next to us shared an entree and the service staff never put 2 dinner plates in front of them until they asked for plates. The fish was cooked properly and tasted good. The Lamb Shank was also cooked to perfection and the risotto was cooked just right. We ordered Tarimasu for dessert and that was good as well. Unfortunately I don't think we will go back. The prices were too high and when check arrived a service fee for Credit Cards was on the check. I asked them to take it off since I was paying cash. The owner was walking around the bar area shaking hands and mingling with the customers that he had the perception that they will keep his restaurant busy and unfortunately you can't judge a book by its cover and he never came over to us not once. Maybe because we just came from our business and looked like we are homeless. Lol Manager was good and he did take care of us. I appreciate that he cared . I did like Milagros that was there 9 months ago. The ambiance was a low class vibe with fine dining prices on menu. Bella Rosa I wish you the best but I would never come back. Service was very good. The seafood wasn't good. It seems as though the chef wants the seafood to taste like common seafood. No lemon wedges or anything to mitigate the old fishy taste. I had the scallops one time and the Branzino in another. Both had overwhelming " fishy " taste. I couldn't finish the Branzino. It was too strong. Mixed review for a delivery experience. We had eaten there before. We were staying at a hotel maybe 1/2 mile away, but wanted to order delivery. Ordered Fish Tacos and a Caesar Salad with Salmon. The salad came with Beef, which was useless someone who does not eat meat. The Tacos were unusual, deep fried fish . in a small taco shell with just a little mango sauce. Manager walked by our table no less than 5x never stopped to ask why/how my meal was considering it was still a full plate all 5x. The waiter didn't ask either. Mixed feelings towards this place. Went with a party of six and had a terrible start to the evening. Took 20 minutes after being sat to finally be approached by a waiter and have our drink orders taken. Then another 20 minutes to finally get the drinks. It was a Monday night with probably 10 tables max, so it wasn't some hectic weekend night. The food however was great, a little pricey, but good nonetheless. We went during the 40% off Monday pasta nights which I thought was a great deal. I'd recommend going on a Monday night and only if you have a minimum hour and half of time. Otherwise I can't tell if slightly over priced food is worth the bad serving experience. read more

We were in town for the holidays and got a chance to visit this restaurant. The food was excellent, some of the best I've ever had!! The restaurant is beautiful , once inside even more so!!! The service was lacking from our waitress? The team was roaming and filling some of the holes! We loved our meal overall and understand that this place is relatively new so let's hope they work out the kinks? I even had another diner comment before being seated comment that it didn't run like a well oiled machine! We had a visit to the table by who I think was the owner so I have great confidence we will be back on our next visit! Don't miss the table service for fresh made pasta!!! The good- the food was delicious. We all four enjoyed our dishes. The entrees are large and the beet salad was excellent. We went for dinner on Thursday at 6:00 and it was very slow. Only a couple of tables had guests. The booths were very supportive and sat at a proper height. Lighting and noise level were good. The bad: Ordered two draft beers (Goose IPA and A Stella) draft. Both were sour and had to be returned. Draft system needs to be serviced and lines cleaned. We ordered 2 Manhattans instead which were good but extremely expensive. One person at our table desperately wanting a beer that was not sour, ordered a bottle of beer. It was delivered by the server to our table without a glass. Small miss but important detail. We were a group of mature women. Had to ask for a cold glass, which was brought to table dripping wet. Our server was not attentive even with a very slow evening. Very difficult to understand what he was saying. We had to flag him down several times. Conversely, our dinner was interrupted several times by what I would refer to as the bus boys asking if we needed more water or could they take our dishes. Also, One of our friends asked if she could have brown rice with her entree verses the risotto bc of nutrition issues and the same server shrugged his shoulders and said we do not have rice. Not making any effort to ask the Chef. Unimpressed service. So net net food was good, service mediocre, cocktails were as expensive as NYC, and draft system needs attention. Our bill for the four of us with 20% tip was $290. We will return for Happy Hour at the bar to give it a try but not returning for dinner.
