    Frutti Di Mare Special
    Maggie L.

Came here for the first time and had a great experience! We sat outside and the covered patio was perfect for a nice day with a bit of overcast. We had the Salumeria (cheese and meat board) special that was a huge portion! Definitely a good amount to share with a group of 4-6. My husband got the Bader Sting and it was a good amount of pizza with a lot of different flavors. I got the frutti di mare on the specials. I wish the seafood was a bit larger but otherwise it had lots of great flavors. Their espresso martinis were delicious!

had a feeling Wood Stack was going to be good based on the reviews--and the crowd waiting at the door confirmed it. We couldn't get a table as walk-ins, but the bar high-tops were totally fine. The staff was attentive, and for a busy Sunday we were able to place our order pretty quickly. We tried the eggplant pizza, citrus olives, and the beet salad. The pizza was super fresh and came straight out of the wood oven, but honestly the standout parts of the meal were the house-made marinated citrus olives and the warm bread they slice and serve as soon as you sit down. Those olives are a must-order. The rest of the meal was solid, though the beet salad was just okay--it could have used more volume and toppings to make it feel more balanced. Service was friendly, but they did linger a bit and stopped by our table more than I would've preferred, I'm talking the server, busser, and food runner? and some other random employees? Love how willing they are to make sure you're having a good dining experience but it was quite disruptive to the actual meal.

We, sadly, waited YEARS to finally try Wood Stack. It simply wasn't close enough to where we live to give it a shot, but since we were heading east on 46 towards Montclair for date night we decided to give them a try. We started with some bread for the table...not knowing that the Burrata appetizer we would order was also going to come with a pile of bread. The Burrata appetizer was a special that night and was tasty, but as we discovered, a bit pricey. We also ordered an Old Fashioned and an Aperol Spritz, also pretty pricey (catching a pattern here?). We both planned to take leftovers home so we ordered two small pies to try more than one. I ordered the Grandma pie with sausage and Wifey got their special which came with ham, fresh mozzarella, balsamic glaze and fresh basil (I think). The pies were tasty though the special was a bit undercooked. Overall it was an ok experience. Service was pretty slow the night we went, but the place was pretty full when we got there. Once the pizza arrived we didn't see our waitress again until we were done eating and siting there for almost 15 minutes waiting for the check. I'm glad we gave them a try, but I'll probably stick with our pizza places closer to home.

Found this place closeby to a Tesla charging station on the way home and we were very pleasantly surprised! I was looking for a wood fired pizza since we missed out at another place and came across this place which was only 6 min away. Although they were busy on a Sunday evening, we were seated quickly and they had high chairs and crayons for the kiddo. We ended up getting the pesto burrata pizza, margherita pizza, brussel sprouts and a half for portion of the pappardelle pasta. The pesto pizza was delicious! The margherita was also good and the brussel sprouts were good (and the next day too!). The pasta was was my least favorite although it was fine. They also had yummy homemade sourdough bread (the first one is complimentary, but any additional bread is $1 extra pp). The prices were a bit up there for the portions we got, but the food was good and the staff was really nice. The inside was nice with a wood themed decor that felt cozy. Brianna was really nice and helpful throughout the evening. We would definitely return!

Kale ceasar salad was disappointing. $15 for big pieces of kale. Lacks efforts. Didn't come with any bread. Could be better

I've been to this spot a few times. It's spacious with a great indoor and partial outdoor bar. The menu has lots of options with salads pizza pasta and sandwiches. They also offer a brunch menu. We shared a pitcher of red sangria, the rice balls, and each had a 1/2 order pasta. I really like this spot.

Never disappoints! Tonight we had the fall gnocchi and the I think the papa pig pizza, both were delish! We were seated in the back next to the open outdoor space and it was a nice surprise. The server was busy and attentive. Lovely time at Wood stack pizza!

Sat outside on a hot summer night on the patio which was spacious and comfortable. Good selection of cocktails and drafts of local craft breweries. The bread in this place is outstanding and we eat plenty of it when we come here. The burrata was fresh and came with their toasted and buttered bread - yummy. Then we shared a pizza and the summer gnocchi dish which were both well executed. Our server was friendly and attentive. Fun place to spend some time with friends and family for a solid meal and some beverages of your choice. Try it!

Woodstack Pizza was exactly the type of environment my husband & I were hoping for when it came to hosting our rehearsal dinner. We had scoped out a few different options and ultimately decided that it was the best fit for us. We were looking for something that was laid back, but still felt upscale - it was also conveniently located near where we had our hotel room block in Parsippany, NJ. Having the large private room along with family style dining allowed for us and our guests to feel comfortable getting up and moving about the room to interact with our company. In the time spent leading up to our wedding, my husband and I went to Woodstack several times for our weekly date nights to try different things from their menu. We have enjoyed all of the food that they have to offer the multiple times we have dined here. Our guests also really enjoyed the spread of food & spoke about how delicious their cocktails were. Some of the favorites from that night were the Stracciatella Caprese & the "Say Cheese" pizza. Carlo was very easy to work with, and allowed us to make some minor substitutions to the menu. Brian & I will definitely be back here for a date night in the (near) future!

We've been here a few times now for birthdays and random nights out. They are always consistent. The bread they give you at the beginning is fresh, I love their mushroom pie but their pasta is also homemade and delicious. The budino is also the perfect dessert to end the meal. The restaurant feels cozy and nice.

Delicious food and pizza! The pizza comes out fast and the pasta is made fresh. I hope to return soon and try out other dishes. The head kitchen staff gave us a sample of the prosciutto and it tased divine!! It is quite busy and loud. I recommend making a reservation before coming.

We did a quick search, saw Jersey Spirits Distilling and decided to give it a try. I would have never known it existed since it's tucked in the back of an industrial complex. From the outside, it looks small, but it's pretty spacious inside. When we were seated, our server gave us a brief history of the distillery. I love that it's family-owned and all of the ingredients are locally sourced from NJ. There are so many different cocktail options, and some of them were so creative in their presentation. Since I was having a difficult time deciding, I went with the Espresso Martini flight. It came with a Traditional, Pistachio, and Jelly Ring martini. I also ordered a cookie butter martini. My favorite was definitely the creamy pistachio martini. I am so happy to have discovered Jersey Spirits Distilling and can't wait to visit again soon!

We started with the cucumber, pistachio, and yogurt, with harissa and sesame seeds. Like a very creative and refreshing Mediterranean pickle. Delish. We also got the Mediterranean salad. It was much more interesting than your typical Greek salad. Excellent feta, good cucumbers and tomato, and nice little pita chip slivers. They also start you with very good bread with olive oil and some olives. For our entrées we got Chilean Seabass, Branzino fillet, and Mariscada, which is a big shellfish stew. While it's not indicated on the menu, all entrées come with saffron rice, sautéed vegetables... And their homemade potato chips. The person who got the Mariscada was so happy. It had every kind of fresh shellfish and really was enough for two people. I really enjoyed the Branzino fillet, which came with a lemon caper sauce. It was huge and very delicious, I had to give some pieces away. The Chilean Seabass is the most expensive, at $55. For me, I felt that I have had better Seabass and I preferred my $36 branzino. But the person who ordered it was thrilled and thought it was amazing, and gets it every time here. I loved the saffron rice, and the homemade potato chips. I didn't eat the sautéed vegetables (there was just too much food everywhere!). But the person who tried them thought they were extremely delicious. Overall, this is a great place for sharing, with tons of food. And the cucumber, harissa yogurt, pistachio and sesame seed appetizer showed that they are innovating and not just doing your parent's Don Pepe. Oliver was also a super server as was everyone else on the team. And we enjoyed the patio... though I must say that being over Route 46 traffic is not the most atmospheric, and I wish the patio was on the other side! But who can complain with all this yummy food? Looking forward to coming back here next time I'm in New Jersey.

I really thought this won't be a big deal like other establishments that are even more high end. I later learned that the individual's name was Tom. Describing his behavior as merely rude would be an understatement; his conduct was obnoxious, unprofessional, and unnecessarily aggressive. First, being charged the full $80 price for a guest who did not attend was extremely shocking and disappointing. More concerning, however, was the manner in which Tom approached and addressed us. In all my years of dining out, I have never experienced such poor service or such an inappropriate attitude from restaurant staff. Although I was eventually provided with containers to pack some food to take home, the entire experience left me feeling deeply insulted and completely ruined what was meant to be a special Mother's Day dinner. When we arrived (around 7pm) there was only one occupied table in the restaurant. The room was cold and drafty, as if they were trying to save money on the heating. We had to change tables twice trying to avoid the chill which was forcing my mother to keep her winter coat on. On our first visit, the breadbasket included some delicious garlic bread. That was gone this time. Previously, the staff immediately set out an ice bucket and glasses when they saw our bottle of white wine. This time we had to ask for both, twice. Throughout the meal, we watched our waiter standing in the doorway to the kitchen engrossed in whatever he was doing with his cell phone. Given that the restaurant was virtually empty, the fact that we couldn't get his attention when we started to have issues was frustrating. I chose the Calamari Chino again as an appetizer. I enjoyed it so much on our first visit that it was the one thing I knew I wanted again. Unfortunately, I ended up sending it back. Although it looked like the same dish at first glance, the crispy and tender calamari I loved the first time was now soggy and rubbery. My mother again went with the Grilled Norwegian Salmon, which she enjoyed. My father had the Paccheri & Shrimp alla Vodka, which is described on the menu as sautéed wild shrimp, over paccheri pasta with a creamy vodka sauce, oyster mushrooms, & green peas. He wasn't a fan of this. It seemed to be missing both the oyster mushrooms, & the green peas. He also described it as being "goopy" and thought it tasted artificially thickened in some way. I ordered the New Coconut Jumbo Shrimp, which is served with grilled asparagus, white rice, in an orange marmalade sauce. I had high hopes for this since coconut shrimp is a favorite of mine. The presentation was quite nice, but the shrimp was overcooked, and the coconut coating was nearly burnt. I believe it had been left in the deep fryer too long. Frankly, if I had not sent back the calamari I would have sent this back as well. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant still looks nice, but it seems like they're just going through the motions now. I don't see us returning.
