    Pistachio Espresso Martini

Came back to try some of their green drinks for St Patrick's Day! I had the Emerald Isle which was a gin-based green drink. It wasn't really photo worthy but tasty. Had to have a pistachio espresso martini - it was so smooth!

OMG I've found my new favorite place in the entire world and it's Jersey Spirits Distilling. I've been talking up a Jersey Spirits since a wifey and I stopped in here on a whim a few months ago. The first time we stopped in we were the only two in the place so the bartender did an entire tasting spread for us and their products were excellent. New Jersey rules don't allow them to sell food, but you can definitely bring your own. We loved their clear alcohols (gin, vodka and rum) and their 'hooches' (flavored vodka), but I think their bourbon needed some additional aging. The drinks they make here are very good and they are always experimenting with now combinations. Drinks are a little pricey, but we've been back 4-5 times and haven't been disappointed in the drinks, the bartenders or the friendly company in the place. Give Jersey Spirits a try!

Great place for some locally made spirits. This is a small local business. They are not pushy when you enter the tasting room. I ordered a pumpkin martini that I saw on instagram and than a Fluffer Nutter off their menu. All the spirits are made there. The ambiance is quaint and not noisy. They staff is very friendly and I plan on going back. The distiller was there and trying new ideas and letting those at the bar taste it. I highly recommend this place.

We were looking for a new place to stop in for a drink, and this was the jackpot! Not only were the drinks, fantastic, but the bartenders were super knowledgeable, and very fun. They gave great recommendations, and have an incredibly vast understanding of their spirits. They even asked to give us a tour and show us where they made the alcohol and explained the process to us. We would go back in a heartbeat.

What a cool hidden gem! And I mean hidden... Located in the back of a thread of buildings, tucked in the corner is Jersey Spirits Distilling. Small and cozy, it's a spot that offers truly tasty distilled liquors: vodka, bourbon, gin, etc. I acquired a taste for hooch while I sat and perused the menu - free samples upon entering and in the cutest teeniest shot cups. Friendly service/staff, we were recommended personal and customer favorites before ordering. QR-code menu allows you to order more drinks without having to wave down staff. Quick and tasty! Between my husband and I we ordered the PB&J hooch, apple hooch, pumpkin hooch, white maple whiskey, holiday nip, and I believe a lavender/floral gin or perhaps vodka. My favorite hands down is the PB&J! I can't tell you how this really really tasted like you were eating a PB&J sandwich - I opted for a painkiller as my first cocktail, but the memory of the PB&J hooch trumped all else which made me order one on the rocks. Absolutely delicious! Literally dessert in a cup. My second favorite is definitely the maple whiskey - possibly had a sweet tooth this day, but memorable spirits in my book. My husband went for the vanilla shake, just as good! We will definitely treat ourselves to another trip. P.s. All Jersey Spirits are gluten free!

Our first time and we had a Groupon admission for a flight tasting. It's casual seating and as soon as we sat we were welcomed by our server, with menus. We placed our orders. Shortly after lunch truck parked outside gave us a menu to order by texting it in. Cool right!! While our flights were serve a tour was about to begin. Server suggested we leave our belongings and head over to John (owner and founder). The tour was very interesting and John conducted it with such passion. We were very intrigued. Establishment is welcoming and their walls are decorated with their accomplishments and history. Great distillery, owner John was amazing !!! I would come back to enjoy their other flavors !!

This place is just amazing; if you think between the bullshit brewery next door and this place, GO TO DISTILLERY! Mark and Ashley are incredible people who explained the process of distillation. Mark showed us barrels, and even though we could not have a tour of the distillery, we could overlook the barrels from the entrance, and he was very precise in the description. The place has six flavored vodkas, a couple of gins, and a bunch of whiskeys. I tried a couple of beverages, and every one of them was excellent. My absolute favorites were coffee vodka, horseradish vodka, and maple whiskey. After trying horseradish vodka, I asked to prepare horseradish-vodka-based bloody mary with a shot of tobacco! It was just amazing! I am impressed; it was one of the best I ever tried. My husband got a maple syrup old-fashioned, which is fantastic! Even I tried it, which hardly ever happens; it had never been mine drink!

Came in after visiting Magnify Brewery (right next door) and were pleasantly surprised. The distillery and tasting room were bright and clean. The drink menu was diverse enough for any taste bud. The husband had a White Maple Whiskey neat and I had the White Whiskey also neat both $8. We wanted to truly enjoy the spirit before mixing it up. While tasting our attentive server made sure we didn't run out of Goldfish crackers, so much so we had to ask her to stop bringing more over because I have an addiction and literally couldn't stop eating them. We noted the owner making rounds and talking to other customers, we didn't get a chance to say hi, maybe on our next trip.

This was the first time I've ever been to a distillery ever and I came here the other day with my boyfriend because we wanted to check out the jersey nectar after it was advertised online. We were given a sample and honestly it wasn't for me because it was much too strong for my taste on its own. So we decided to try the new cocktail they were making with it called honey crisp. And boy was I glad I didn't write it off. The drink basically tasted like fall in a glass with the apple and cinnamon notes. Next I had the painkiller, which I wasn't so much of a fan of because the orange juice was just too overpowering for me. And then last we both had the pumpkin ghost which was the best drink of the night. We swapped out the vodka with the crossroads whiskey and I wish I knew about this drink earlier into the night because the drink was SOOO GOOD. I think next time I go, I'll just stick to the pumpkin ghost. I'm sad this drink is only available for a limited time because if I could get this drink everywhere I would. The customer service here was great too, they were always checking up on us and were more than happy to cater to our requests. Definitely a good place to check out. FYI when you get here follow the signs for the distillery and if you're getting an Uber here you might have to help them with the directions. Our Uber drivers had a little trouble finding the place.

What a treat! Thank God for Groupon! I mean, I'd go here regardless of a groupon now but I may not have ever found it. The location is a little bizarre; you need to pull in where the google maps takes you but you have to pull behind a few buildings before you see signs for it. Any who- the place is really cozy. We happened to have one of the best bartenders. He was really chill and pretty funny. The groupon we went ther eon included a tasting for 4 and a tour. The spirits are unique and yum! Their rum and gin are not like those I've tasted before, pretty cool and enjoyable. They've won multiple awards as well. The tour was given to us by the wife who owns the place (with her husband). She very knowledgeable and super friendly. It's a really cool place to go for a change of pace or even just to sit and the bar for a convo. They do classes and events too! Go do a tasting, have a drink and take a tour. You will be glad you did!

What a cool distillery. Small, restaurant style bar in the front. With a lot of liquor behind the bar. So many different flavors to choose from. They have cocktails to choose from or you can create your own. Many of which were super tasty. Came here to use a Groupon for a shot flight and a tour for 2. What a great deal! Each flight consists of any 3 shots. The shot can be straight liquor or one of their cocktails made into 2oz. The tour was informative and gave me a lot of information on the making of vodka and Gin. They use 12 point distillation, which makes their liquors more flavorful. The coolestt part of this trip was the fact that they had a taco food truck stationed right out front. Had a lot to drink, feeling hungry, walk right outside and indulge yourself. And my wife LOVES her some tacos, maybe even more than she loves me lol.

(I can't remember but it was good)

Oh my, 2nd stop our Northern Jersey Distillery Tour for June 5, 2021. We were impressed with the spirits here as we were all day. JS specializes in making 'Hooch' that taste absolutely delicious. It isn't as strong as usual spirits but it is enough to feel a buzz. They make a PB&J (Peanut Butter & Jelly) cocktail that is delightful, a Apple Pie Hooch that is divine (had to buy a bottle to bring home). It taste like apple pie, so good. They make various cocktails to try with their housemade spirits that are so delicious! Definitely put this place on your list to visit.

We started with the cucumber, pistachio, and yogurt, with harissa and sesame seeds. Like a very creative and refreshing Mediterranean pickle. Delish. We also got the Mediterranean salad. It was much more interesting than your typical Greek salad. Excellent feta, good cucumbers and tomato, and nice little pita chip slivers. They also start you with very good bread with olive oil and some olives. For our entrées we got Chilean Seabass, Branzino fillet, and Mariscada, which is a big shellfish stew. While it's not indicated on the menu, all entrées come with saffron rice, sautéed vegetables... And their homemade potato chips. The person who got the Mariscada was so happy. It had every kind of fresh shellfish and really was enough for two people. I really enjoyed the Branzino fillet, which came with a lemon caper sauce. It was huge and very delicious, I had to give some pieces away. The Chilean Seabass is the most expensive, at $55. For me, I felt that I have had better Seabass and I preferred my $36 branzino. But the person who ordered it was thrilled and thought it was amazing, and gets it every time here. I loved the saffron rice, and the homemade potato chips. I didn't eat the sautéed vegetables (there was just too much food everywhere!). But the person who tried them thought they were extremely delicious. Overall, this is a great place for sharing, with tons of food. And the cucumber, harissa yogurt, pistachio and sesame seed appetizer showed that they are innovating and not just doing your parent's Don Pepe. Oliver was also a super server as was everyone else on the team. And we enjoyed the patio... though I must say that being over Route 46 traffic is not the most atmospheric, and I wish the patio was on the other side! But who can complain with all this yummy food? When we arrived (around 7pm) there was only one occupied table in the restaurant. The room was cold and drafty, as if they were trying to save money on the heating. We had to change tables twice trying to avoid the chill which was forcing my mother to keep her winter coat on. On our first visit, the breadbasket included some delicious garlic bread. That was gone this time. Previously, the staff immediately set out an ice bucket and glasses when they saw our bottle of white wine. This time we had to ask for both, twice. Throughout the meal, we watched our waiter standing in the doorway to the kitchen engrossed in whatever he was doing with his cell phone. Given that the restaurant was virtually empty, the fact that we couldn't get his attention when we started to have issues was frustrating. I chose the Calamari Chino again as an appetizer. I enjoyed it so much on our first visit that it was the one thing I knew I wanted again. Unfortunately, I ended up sending it back. Although it looked like the same dish at first glance, the crispy and tender calamari I loved the first time was now soggy and rubbery. My mother again went with the Grilled Norwegian Salmon, which she enjoyed. My father had the Paccheri & Shrimp alla Vodka, which is described on the menu as sautéed wild shrimp, over paccheri pasta with a creamy vodka sauce, oyster mushrooms, & green peas. He wasn't a fan of this. It seemed to be missing both the oyster mushrooms, & the green peas. He also described it as being "goopy" and thought it tasted artificially thickened in some way. I ordered the New Coconut Jumbo Shrimp, which is served with grilled asparagus, white rice, in an orange marmalade sauce. I had high hopes for this since coconut shrimp is a favorite of mine. The presentation was quite nice, but the shrimp was overcooked, and the coconut coating was nearly burnt. I believe it had been left in the deep fryer too long. Frankly, if I had not sent back the calamari I would have sent this back as well. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant still looks nice, but it seems like they're just going through the motions now. I don't see us returning.

My husband had the orange roughy with shrimp fried rice and is still talking about how good it was the next day. Service was on point-they did not rush us. We were downstairs which I think is more casual than upstairs but still very nice. Portions were appropriate. Prices were kind of high but they are high everywhere and right for the quality.

The service is friendly... most of the time! Alex, the owner, is always welcoming and truly cares about her customers. If you're looking for the best place to watch a big sporting event, Sidelines is it. The atmosphere for the USA World Cup win was incredible--a packed house, a DJ, and an electric crowd you just won't find at most bars. Get there Monday for USA vs. Belgium!

They also have a ton of Christmas decorations up right now, which made the atmosphere feel extra festive and nice. The service was excellent; the staff was amazing, incredibly nice, and very helpful throughout my visit. I came in on a Sunday and it was perfect because they had all the TVs showing the football games. For food, I tried the fries (which were voted #1) and they did not disappoint! They came loaded with jalapeños, onions, cheese, and their special Sideline sauce. It was very tasty--honestly the best "Sunday guilt meal" I've had in a while. Between the food, the football, and the games (they have pool, darts, and a music machine), it's just a great place to hang out. Highly recommend!

It definitely felt as if he didn't want to be bothered being there. The food was delicious. Each dish came out hot and the portion sizes were good. As soon as I saw that reservations were live, I immediately made mine! I had a Thursday dinner reservation that I eventually needed to cancel and remake for a lunch reservation. Didn't love that I had to go for lunch but oh well. Our reservation was for Noon which meant that they were just opening up for the day and boy were they busy! There were a ton of people coming in for lunch. Getting situated and to our table took a few because of the overwhelming amount of reservations. I booked our table in the Lounge area rather than the dining room and glad I did as it seems to be more festive! Food-wise we ate the Pollo Parm Pizza and the Hot Calamari. Both were good but nothing spectacular. We ordered festive drinks which were $18 each -- a little high but I get it. We skipped on dessert and got dessert drinks instead - I had the Tiramisu Martini which was delightful!

Just spent 3 hours at NJ Artisan Distillery and our group left with smiles on our faces, new…read moreacquaintances and a spicy taste in our mouths thanks to a special batch of liquor naturally named Hot Chocolate Sex (thanks uncle Jim!). The night started with a tasting of their super clean and smooth white rum followed by a smokey , more full bodied dark rum. Next we had a choice of a couple different liquors where I went with a "Suisse le bleu" absinthe drink. Made half and half with seltzer and a dab of ice, the liquor miraculously turned light blue. Strong smell of licorice off the top but the taste was surprisingly light and subtle for being 140 proof (less after being mixed obviously). The ladies had a coffee liquor which was the white rum mixed with soaked in Brazilian coffee beans. The entire time conversations were flowing between Brant(master distiller), Jim (NJ homebrew club advisor and drink architect), Doug (NJ homebrew flu. President and Brant's right hand man) and our group. Next we went on the distillery tour where Brant gave us his background and a bit of history. You can tell right off the bat that his passion comes from the heart and everything done at the distillery was carefully thought out from start to finish. After the tour, we were treated to more drinks and even a rum strawberry Gelato dessert... "hard ice". All I can say is wow! So tasty and just the right amount of kick. They need to put stuff on shelves in supermarkets! Also had one of their mojitos.... Very yummy. The crew then started talking about the different stuff they have distilled or architectured, which included peepski (melted peep for sugar base) and hot chocolate sex (rum, frap, Bosco, mead and hot peppers). Jim was nice enough to bring out his personal bottle of the hot chocolate sex which we got to try... Definitely interesting! They also brought out some local nj hot sauce to try with the chips. All in all a fantastic night!
