Fun, energetic spot with a true local feel. The tap list is extensive, and it's a great place if you enjoy variety and trying flights. Lively atmosphere without feeling overwhelming, and bartenders know their stuff. If you're indecisive, go for a flight, it's the best way to sample their range.
Very clean, large space with so much going on (bands. Puppy yoga etc). I absolutely loved the dozen different hard seltzer flavors (and not super carbonated). They sometimes have food trucks but I would BYO food or have something delivered. Some employees are friendly than others. I also loathe the people who bring gaggles of little kids, I want a relaxed atmosphere not to try to talk/yell over your kids screaming and running around. Maybe if they designated an area just for adults and a family area, that way everyone can enjoy in an element that is enjoyable for them.
Came here last weekend for my wife to enjoy a beer. I haven't been here in quite a bit, but it's still a very spacious place with really nice tables and good energy. I normally don't drink, but I had a taste of one of my wife's beer, Elder Magic, and I really enjoyed it.
My friend and I went to Jersey Girl for Emo Karaoke Night last weekend. It was a blast! They had a beautiful outside garden where the event took place. There was an outside bar you could order from, but we had ordered from the inside one. The staff at Jersey Girl were very kind and helpful, including letting us leaf through a booklet of menus when we realized there was no food there. I tasted two very unique beers and enjoyed them both. My first beer was a Maple one, and you could definitely taste the maple flavor. My second beer was a Mango Habanero Beer. That spicy aftertaste was just what I was looking for! Although I didn't spend a lot of time inside, I will say the Tasting Room was well-decorated and very Jersey. I would love to go back sometime.
This is my second time here and the beer did not disappoint. I used a Groupon that I was gifted for Christmas so I was able to get a flight and crowler (and I also bought a cute sticker). Elder Magic, which is a light elderberry and lemon Hefeweizen, was my favorite in the flight but they were all delicious. My friends loved the place as well and it looks like a chill spot to hang in the summer - we will definitely be back!
Get your drink on baby! I stopped in here the day before my 20+ mile hike event nearby. It was the pre-victory drink celebration and also to help me get a good nights sleep for my long day. I haven't been to a whole lot of breweries but the places I have been to have almost all been small in size. This place is no exception as it's small and parking is terrible especially if it's crowded. BREWS -- Great selection of brews that I got a sampler of and learned quickly that I absolutely hate IPAs as I nearly spit the stuff out onto a patron near me. It was that disgusting! Haha! The other 3-4 samplers I got were pretty darn yummy with my favorite being the Oktoberfest blend. OVERALL - Fairly small space with decent amount of seating but they don't have any food other than some very basic snacks like small bags of chip and that's about it. Parking is dreadful since there are only about a dozen spots outside the front door. When I visited it was so busy with some kind of special fundraiser in the brewing section/room that I had to park at a business two lots down the road hoping I didn't get towed away. Other than the crappy parking situation for me during my visit it's not a bad spot at all. They do have an outdoor area but it was raining during my visit so nobody sat outside.
Beautiful day for a motorcycle ride to this beautiful brewery which always has seasonal specials ( summer sun spicy mango gose & firework show habanero lime gose). Also the staff is fast and friendly. Stop by and have a couple of their new additions or stick with a favorite such as Elder magic Hefeweizen with elderberry and lemon (totally refreshing on a sunny day!)
First time I am here, and I always say I would come. I've gotten mixed reviews from friends, but I always settle the score with my own opinion! I am amazed at how quaint, comfortable and intimate the bar area is. There is a cooler of to go cans for purchase if you enjoy whatever 20+ beers are on tap. The selection is amazing and fits anyone's palate. Snacks are here, but feel free to bring your own food. Clean, cozy and the staff are southerly friendly. Cheers my friends ! Come enjoy.
I dunno. I've been to better places. Let me say - the number of options is pretty awesome. Lots of different drinks and styles. Virtually anything you want. But I didn't have anything that made me go "OMG WOW." I was mostly like "Yeah OK that's good." The flight board is shaped like New Jersey. That's cool. The location was awful. It's like in a business park. And the drinking room isn't very cozy. Seems a bit plain and like all the furniture came from Walmart. I'll visit again. Of course I will. I like beer. But there are better options, I think.
A well-run brewery with a friendly staff and great beer! -The Occasion: A hankering for a delicious IPA -The Atmosphere: The cozy pre-covid tap-room had a relaxing vibe with good tunes & smiling faces. There were couches, chairs, tables and spaces to stand (when less than 6' was acceptable) ... oh, and dogs! Jersey Girl Brewing adapted wonderfully to all the curve-balls Covid threw at 2020. This summer season they rented a large tent for the front lawn and spread tables throughout the yard. They created a QC code to order when you're at a table and updated their website so ordering online was as simple as possible. They provided great beers, a food truck, live music... and were able to continue some of their regularly scheduled events! The staff was excellent at enforcing social distancing and the use of masks when you're not seated. Now that the weather is cooling down, they moved tables into the larger brewery and closed the smaller tap-room. Being in the brewery provides ample space between each table. They created a new vibe with good tunes & smiling faces (only visible once everyone is seated, of course). -The Menu: Beer, beer and more beer! (oh... and hard seltzer!) If you're planning to visit for your first time here are my (unprofessional) suggestions... IPA: SunKissed Citra - hoppy, citrusy & delicious *my favorite* IPA: Bjorn in New Jersey - hazy, hoppy, a good IPA Pilsner: MO PILS - light, flavorful & refreshing Belgian: King Gambrinus - smooth, fruity & dry (10%, so be careful!) We love coming to Jersey Girl as we are locals. The brewery is very welcoming and inviting. Plenty of seating inside the main bar area as well as high top tables in the production area. We love sitting outside in the yard. They have picnic tables and umbrellas. We love to sit outside on nice evenings and watching the sunset while enjoying our brews. They have music and corn hole on the weekends. Food truck events are known to happen. The place is upbeat and lively. Chuck did a great job with the place. Our favorite brew is the elder magic. Simply delicious!
A fun crew with a great lineup of beers, definitely top-of-mind in my craft beer options! Right off of Route 46, a little away from the downtown area, Jersey Girl Brewery is located in what looks like an industrial area, with a good amount of office buildings. Right on the corner of one of the larger ones, you'll find them, clearly labeled from the street and situated on the front corner so it's easy to park & walk right in. Inside, they've got several tables and a bar area for orders, which is nice & clean. Gotta say I don't think I've been to a brewery as clean as Jersey Girl! Went for a special event they had going on with 105.5 WDHA, in which Coheed & Cambria were performing an acoustic set in the back area. The acoustics were amazing back there, perfect for small shows, which they host regularly. They have a second, larger bar area back there with another set of bathrooms for guests, and a few high tables to gather around. The staff was very friendly, got to chat with a few of the guys there, as well as the owner, Chuck, who's putting out a great product and truly understands how to run a clean and well-together brewery! Can't wait to return and pick up a few growlers for the road!

Jersey Girl Brewing is a decent 30-barrel brewery in Mt. Olive, NJ. Their logo in the taproom indicates they were established in 2014, though all information online points to 2016 as their official opening. They distribute heavily around North Jersey where they are located, but few cans make it to South Jersey where I'm from. My girlfriend and I visited the brewery on a Saturday night in September for the first time. I counted 15 beers on tap, a shandy, a hard seltzer (with about 600 flavors available to mix in) a variety of NA beers and an NA seltzer. We each tried two beers and enjoyed what we had, though nothing really wowed us. They had live music outside with a $10 cover charge which is a first for me. I've never been to a brewery that charged for live music. So we sat inside instead. Pleasant atmosphere inside. We were the youngest people there by far; everyone else was in their 50's or 60's. Not sure if that is due to the type of music or if that is a typical Saturday night here. Overall not bad. I don't live close and probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but it was a nice enough Saturday night out while we were in the area. read more
Great place for a fresh and cold beer!!!! Went there many times during summer and now winter and still welcoming!!! The ambience had Christmas decor so cute... the server/bartender was also really friendly and knowledgeable about the beers with great recommendations. read more

HACKETTSTOWN: Brie + beer = Best time! We always joke that Brie is the unofficial mascot of NJ, and if that's not true, she is definitely a Jersey-girl, so she fit right in at Jersey Girl Brewing Company! Delicious craft beers and a lot to choose from (our favorite is the King Gambrinus Belgian tripel, and the ElderLemonWeizen was a fun sweet flavor)! Dogs are allowed in the large tasting room. There is bar seating as well as high top tables and a comfy couch area. Brie took a nap on the couch! You can bring your own food, play games, and there's plenty of grass outside for bathroom breaks. Doggy Noses & Yoga Poses just had a doggie yoga event there too, to help raise awareness of rescues and encourage adoption. read more

There are over 100 breweries in NJ and I've been to half of them. @JerseyGirlBeer has always been my favorite. It's not the closest brewery to us but we always end up there. They always have at least 10 beers to choose from so everyone can find something delicious. We've been there for our birthdays, my son's bachelor party, trivia, music, cornhole and pre- dinner pints. If I've been there 30 times, Chuck, one of the owners, has been there 27 which shows what a hands on business #JerseyGirlBrewing is. The tasting room has a cool, comfortable vibe. I would highly recommend JG for your next brew stop. read more
Julie and I were done early with our Sunday hike and decided to put all those calories back in, with a little brewery crawl. Jersey Girl was our second one. It's a nice bar. We were hoping for an outside sitting area but the brewery is in a warehouse area. The bar is cozy, chilled and has nice couches and high tables. There were a few people but wasn't packed. They were playing easy rock, which I feel was right for the crowd. We ordered a flight. The glasses come on a nice wooden board in the shape of NJ state. We got the King Gambrinus, the Bockbier, the Rake Breaker and the Calyptose (Milkshake IPA). Julie liked her Gambrinus the best. My favorite was the Rake Breaker. It's like a traditional IPA with a tangy, fruity aftertaste. read more

This brewery is much larger than we first realized. The front tasting room is well decorated and staffed by at least two pourers. There are a few high stop tables and 3 couches with a coffee table in the center. After ordering our flights, we made our way to the back tasting room and sat at one of the picnic tables. We ordered food from one of the local delivery restaurants and enjoyed our beers. My friend and I both enjoyed the blood orange ale, my husband liked the porter, and my friend's husband liked the pale ale #2. The brewing area is huge. These folks definitely plan to grow and are positioned to grow quickly. The tour, which is given regularly, was better than most other brewery tours. The brewery is making a serious effort to be as green as possible and those measures are noted in the tour. Once again and to nobody's surprise, the husband liked the porter #2, but also liked the American Wheat. Overall, the beers were good but not outstanding. Very friendly staff though! read more

A group of friends and I went here on a Saturday afternoon and it was great. The sampler was a perfect set up if you are looking to try a few different types of beer and ciders that they make onsite. We were also able to take a tour of the brewery. We will be back! read more
Although the name "Jersey Girl" may evoke feelings of lightheartedness, the brewery is actually a very involved and serious operation. They have quite a large brewing system in the back for an independently owned company, and they are in the process of distributing throughout New Jersey, all the way to the southern tip of the state. The crowd that comes here is the more sophisticated crowd. When I walked in, I immediately thought it was very classy. There are lots of well established families with their adult kids who come here together to relax. One of the owners, Chuck, makes it a point that everyone is greeted when they come in. He knows almost everybody on a first name basis, and if you're a new customer, he will make you feel welcome. I also respect how Jersey Girl Brewing views the tour requirement of the NJ Beverage Commission law not as a burden, but as a marketing tool to show off their place. They have regularly scheduled tours, where they let people into the back and show them around. The beers are very bold, and the flavors really jump out at you. The sophisticated beer aficionados will be happy here. I also like how they have a fridge with canned beer ready to go, so that customers know it's available. Now I will get to still enjoy Jersey Girl beer even when I am back at home all the way in Toms River. read more

I'm new to this side of town, I'm from Cali where breweries are huge. I didn't expect much but wow this place is awesome! We found it through Groupon and I can't wait to be back! Groupon or not I recommend getting a flight. The staff was amazing, the ambiance was very warm and cozy. Perfect place for a date or even to just hang out. I love that I live so close by. I'll definitely be back! read more

This is a fun spot! I purchased the groupon for a beer tour, flights, empty growler, and tours for two people which was $19.99. We weren't really interested in the tour and it wasn't offered when we came in. I thought the beers were pretty good, and I actually ended up mixing some of them. I mixed mo pils with the lemon hef and I thought it had the perfect amount of tartness. The lemon hef on it's own was too tart for my taste. Also, like most breweries, there's no food here but they allow you to order or bring in outside snacks. My fiancee was kind of disappointed they didn't have a stout (or really anything similar) so I wish they would add that to the menu, but other than that we thought the beers were pretty good! This brewery is worth checking out, especially if you purchase the groupon. read more

What a nice brewery, came here because of the 10 dollar groupon which included a flight, empty growler and a tour. They had 9 beers on tap, so my friend and I both got 4 of the 9, and the bartender gave us the brown to try no extra charge. I was very impressed by the high quality of beer, I enjoyed all of them. My standouts were the Rake IPA and the King Gambrinus. The owner Mike was very nice and knowledgeable, and I was very impressed by their brewing set up. I will be back for more, excited to see what they brew next! read more

30 barrel brewery using no filtration, tours personally lead by the two partners Mike and Chuck, $6 pints and $8 flights, also fresh beer in cans! Growlers filled too, $15-24 for a half gallon depending on the beer. Someday the bourbon-barrel-aged stout will be ready! I found the beers strong and very malty, maybe I choose poorly with my flight. Their golden unfiltered lager was very good, the coffee-chocolate-stout was over the top. Pricey cans @ $13 for four 16oz. Ok the slick new room in a generic office park isn't much of an atmosphere for a Jersey Girl but don't let that bother you. The usual tasting room rules, bring your own food. Worth the trip to Hackettstown. For beer geeks: Mike told us all about mobile canning lines, cans, labels, cardboard and more. The equipment is very expensive so it's cost effective to share, a cool niche business serving little breweries. read more
