Alohaaa! Such a refreshing brew! Fruit tart ale, ABV 7%. Tropical island ale, pineapple, mango and passion fruit with El Dorado hops.

Smaller brewery, always offering good beer and a warm welcome. Especially enjoyed the Alohaaa! Ale.

This place is awesome. The ambiance along with the great brews make it a must stop. I definitely would recommend trying the sundown and the burst of brightness. They are so refreshing

One of the numerous places I visited across my busy Saturday. Food: I personally didn't drink but my wife enjoyed her beers. Aesthetic: your basic microbrewery set up, doesn't really separate itself from others. Service: definitely the highlight, really nice and cool dudes.

Chilton Mill Brewing is the latest of over 100 breweries that I have visited in NJ alone. I am going to all of them. They are located in a nicer strip mall next to other stores. Pizza is right nearby for people who need food, too. When I told my friends that I was going, they said that I should be careful because they are located in an expensive area, near Mendham. It turns out that Chilton Mill was very friendly all around. Even other customers were, too. It is definitely a laid-back place for a guy to hang out and have a beer. They are actually not right in Mendham, but are in neighboring Long Valley. The beers were excellent, especially given the fact that they are relatively new. Usually it takes a little while for a new brewery to get its act together. Chilton Mill seems as if they have been open longer. The owner and head brewer explained to me that he had to be careful not just to blindly apply home-brewing recipes to his brewery, and that recipes have to be painstakingly tweaked. The German-style Schwarzbier was my favorite of the day, and I would recommend that one especially for the winter. They actually don't do growlers because they have a reputation to protect and don't want their beers ever tasting stale. Sometimes there is too much waste with growlers, too. However, they can prepare you a crowler, which is larger can, upon request and with pleasure. You can spot the attention to detail all around.

10/10, great beer, great service, awesome ambiance. Huge fan!! Love all of the live range woodwork too, great space.

Came across this brewery while looking for something to do on a Sunday afternoon. The place is relatively small and it's bring your own food. I'll give it a 5 star rating for the genuine taste of both beers I have tasted. Hoping to come back more and perhaps they have flights available next time.

Excellent beer & sours! You will not be disappointed. Well worth the hour drive from Jersey city. Run, don't walk!

Always love when I get the opportunity to come to Chilton Mill Brewery! It is the perfect spot and AMAZING beer! The atmosphere is great and owner is always down to talk if you sit at the bar. I promise you won't be disappointed with any beer you try- get a flight, have a pint, get a crowler or bring your own growler to fill! It is a local LV staple located right next to great options to get food afterward or during your your visit at Chilton Mill. If you love craft beer this is a must visit.

We came here a few weeks ago, so I honestly forget what kind of burger my boyfriend got, but I know he loaded it up with a bunch of stuff and got bacon on it, and he also really enjoyed it. The only reason why I'm not giving this place five stars is because our waitress only really checked in on us about one time, and it did take her a long time to come back around. We were kind of flagging her down. My boyfriend and I did mention that this place is definitely fantastic in the summer. Especially to sit outside and just enjoy some beers and appetizers. We really did like the inside though. And it's still a great place to check out in the colder months! We'd come back for sure when we get another burger craving!

What is outstanding to us is the care which all the staff and brewers show as they are there. Clearly the same love is widespread as the place was full on a Sunday afternoon. It is pleasing that many were there with their kids showing that this local business gives to the whole of the community. The enjoyment of brewing has moved past mere pub secrecy out to the whole of the community. A long calendar of events of all types from pub trivia to local music to sponsoring fellow food, eateries and holidays are all helpful to promote the family warranted nature of this business as it's clear with a large number of newborns and families as might be unusual and yet should be normalized. All staff are knowledgeable in the brewing and hospitality skills to succeed now and for the long run. Point of sale systems are able to keep open a tab and clearly distinguish ongoing bills. The marketing keeps rights with the sign ups of emails and keeping customer histories. Branding is consistent and relevant leading to a nice, smooth, comfortable customer experience. The two bathrooms are both individual and there are plenty of amenities like nooks and crannies the chat in and coat hooks and ledges and more private corners and food trucks rotate thru the good seasons and lots of lovely people always. Cheers!

Oakflower, just opened in 2022, was recommended time and time again, so we made this our first stop. I'm pleased to say it absolutely lived up to the hype. You can tell a brewery is serious about their beer when they don't offer flights or any kind of flavored seltzers. They are concentrating on making the best beer they can and it shows. 11 beers on tap with lots of hazy ales, a dangerously good 12.8% barrel aged stout, and a pale ale on nitro which I don't think I have ever seen before. We did a few tasters and a few full pours and everything we tried was fantastic. The taproom is spacious, airy, lots of plants and natural light which gave it a relaxed vibe. It was a Friday afternoon and was pleasantly full, with some of the bartenders passionately talking New York sports with some of the regulars. The friendly employees, the amazing beer, the well designed taproom, its location right across from an old train station in quaint downtown Millington... all of this together made for a perfect first visit. We live too far away to come back anytime soon, but we bought some beer to go to tide us over, and will definitely mention Oakflower to others when asked for brewery recommendations in North Jersey.
