If you're in Morristown NJ, looking for something to do, stop in Glenbrook Brewery and try one of their beers. Great atmosphere, well lit and ample seating. They have a room upstairs for private parties. You will need to bring in your own food, plenty of establishments around to choose from. Service was good, but not sure on the parking, parked next door in the tire place after hours. CIAO FOR NOW.

I enjoy trying new breweries and their crafted concoctions, and I love the Morristown area, but I only learned about Glenbrook Brewery because I saw that one of my favorite local musicians was playing there each month. I finally made it to see him and to check the place out on a recent weekend. The brewery was in the heart of the city, only a short walk from the town square. There was no parking lot, but we were able to get a close street spot rather easily. There were 3 large tables outside the main entrance. The brewery beyond it looked rather small but was actually spacious with loads of picnic tables, high-tops, bar space, and a lofted party room. We got seats at the bar and ordered tasting flights, which included 4 brews of choice, each in 5-ounce glasses. I sampled the following: 1.) Tempe Wick Farmhouse Sour Mango Agave - slightly sour, tart, and fruity with notes of mango and apple 2.) Ford Mansion Basement Barrel Porter - offering chocolate and cherry notes, high ABV but not too heavy or filling 3.) St. Patrick's Irish Red Ale - smooth and easy to drink, a bit watery, rather light 4.) Soiree Rose Hard Seltzer - tasted like fermented red grapes and I did not enjoy it I also had a sip of the Green Mountain Boys Spruce Run Ale, which felt more like a winter brew than a spring one. It was soothing, rustic, and woodsy. Lastly, I sampled the Morristown Hazy IPA, which was a rather standard version of a hazy. Of these, the sour was by far my favorite, with the others being decently enjoyable as well. I was thrilled to see that I could order another 5-ounce glass of my beer of choice without having to get a full pint, so I got an additional small pour of the sour favorite. The bar staff was very friendly and enjoyable to speak with. The brewery did not have food beyond small packaged snacks, but did allow folks to bring their own treats. In fact, there were several parties happening, each displaying outside food. Because there were so many groups, there were also a good number of children and dogs around the brewery, though most were well-behaved. The bar also had board games to keep the young (and older) ones entertained. Once the music got started, we were disappointed in the acoustics of the space. We could barely hear the musician's tunes or lyrics over the crowd, and that had been our main reason for driving out to the venue. Our take was that if they were going to have live music, the volume should be turned up to account for the noise in the room. Overall, Glenbrook Brewery provided a nice experience, but a few details, like a way to minimize the noise, could have improved our visit.

Dreadful. That's all you need to know. The beer, the ambiance, the kids running wild and almost getting attacked by a dog and no employees coming to diffuse the situation. Just an overall bad experience. I left 2 out of the 4 flight options behind as they were just not good. The barrel aged beer was extremely disappointing.

A HUMONGOUS shout out to the lady who let us have a flight on one of their busiest days!!! Hugs, kisses, and blessings to her for the patience she had with us!! We came for Morristown's St Patrick's Day Parade and the place was busy but lucky for us, we came early enough and got a prime table. There was a lot of seating and I loved the long picnic benches artfully crafted with huge slabs of wood. The fixed seats were a little far from the table but I have a big belly so it worked. For my flight, I got the Morristown Hazy IPA, the Spill The Tea Iced Tea Lemonade, the St. Patrick's Irish Red Ale, and the Hard Winter Raspberry Wheat Beer. All were good except the Hazy but my favorite was the Lemonade. I coulda drank that all day!!!

Stopped in for a quick beer to try out while in the area. It was packed as we didn't realize it was trivia night. It was funny watching the teams compete and how easy some things were and how difficult some were. Definitely a great spot to meet up with friends. They only had one ipa on draft so we definitely want to come back and try more!

First off, what a great brewery overall. We walked in on Sunday to grab a beer for me and a sour for my girlfriend. The bartender was welcoming and friendly. The place itself was open and beautiful and everything a brewery should be. It also has a nice outside sitting area with plenty of picnic tables upon entering into the brewery. The beer was great, the service was excellent, and the establishment itself was superb. I'll see you the next time I am in town and thanks for the beer koozie my brother. Enjoy :D

My friend and I had a nice evening out at Glenbrook Brewery. We met up at the brewery on a Thursday night around 8pm. It was not crowded at all. I appreciate that Glenbrook is open later because many breweries were closing around 8/9, so Glenbrook is a nice option for a later weekday evening out to grab a beer or two. First off, every review that says it is hard to find, is correct. Even knowing this info, I still had a hard time finding it. It is tucked away next to T-Mobile down an alleyway. It has some outdoor picnic tables down the alley and a good number of high tops and more picnic tables inside. The inside is very spacious and very cool looking. The bartender was very friendly and gave us a little background on the different types of beer they offer. We both decided to do a flight before we decided on a pint. Alas, not all of the beers were my favorite and I did not like their seltzer at all. I did however really enjoy their MacCulloch Kolsch so I got a pint of that. I do want to return to taste the other beer options I didn't get to try. The atmosphere of the brewery is excellent and I will definitely return to have another pint of the Kolsch and maybe try a different beer or two. Thanks Glenbrook Brewery for a lovely evening!

Great brewery nestled in the midst of a suburban main downtown shopping district. Awesome beers and great nods to Morristown's ties to Revolutionary Era America.

Good beer selections. Good service. Recommend if you are in the area. Drink a beer. Take a walk. I needed 85 characters. Omit last 5 sentences including this one.

My favorite was the Lewis Morris followed by the Tempe wick. Other 2 just ok.

Decent little place. I tried four of their beers in a flight and really liked 2 of them. I also tried one of their seltzers. I went right when they opened on a weekday, and it wasn't too crowded. They had board games for those that wanted to play. Some merch available for purchase. No food, but had menus available for local places to deliver from available.

Delicious beers and great brewery vibes with games to play! Menus line the counter when you walk in with places that deliver food. Service was quick and helpful!

If you're in the Morristown area this is a perfect brewery to stop in. It has indoor and outdoor seating, and overall just a comfortable atmosphere. I'm not usually a beer drinker but I really enjoyed my flight. Justin and Ashley were working behind the bar and helped me pick out my flight based on what I normally drink. I enjoyed that they also had a seltzer option on the menu. I loved that there were board and card games that we could play while we drank it made the experience even more fun. I also believe you can bring your own food if you want to get takeout from one of the nearby restaurants! This is a perfect place to go and catch up with friends! I will absolutely be coming back here

Nice local brewery. Very clean and great space. The picnic seating is too big for short people lol Nice ambiance, great for groups.

The girl who waited on us was very nice and honest as she gave my gf her brand new Chanel sunglasses she had left on the counter earlier when we were ordering. Thank you! This place has chill brewery vibes as you can see their production area and it's pretty spacey and I love how they are in an old post office building. My girlfriend and I stopped in on a Friday evening during a weekend trip to High Point State Park. They only had nine beers on tap but there was nice variety and excellent quality in the lineup. Several IPA's and hazy ales but also a grisette, a German pilsner, an English mild and a milk stout. They don't offer flights. Interestingly enough, as much as I enjoy flights at breweries, I've actually found that not offering them is usually a good sign as it is the mark of a brewery that is serious about beer and knows what they are doing. This was true for Autodidact as each beer was excellent. Five star beer but four star taproom. 6 o'clock on a Friday night but only about seven other people there so it was kind of dead. I didn't enjoy the dim, colored lighting or the cold concrete slab bar. We were sitting at the bar and I hated that the only menu available was behind us so we constantly had to turn around to look at what we wanted next. No beers available in the to go fridge but they were able to make us a few crowlers. We live too far away to come back any time soon, but I'm looking forward to tucking into the beers at home sometime soon.

What is outstanding to us is the care which all the staff and brewers show as they are there. Clearly the same love is widespread as the place was full on a Sunday afternoon. It is pleasing that many were there with their kids showing that this local business gives to the whole of the community. The enjoyment of brewing has moved past mere pub secrecy out to the whole of the community. A long calendar of events of all types from pub trivia to local music to sponsoring fellow food, eateries and holidays are all helpful to promote the family warranted nature of this business as it's clear with a large number of newborns and families as might be unusual and yet should be normalized. All staff are knowledgeable in the brewing and hospitality skills to succeed now and for the long run. Point of sale systems are able to keep open a tab and clearly distinguish ongoing bills. The marketing keeps rights with the sign ups of emails and keeping customer histories. Branding is consistent and relevant leading to a nice, smooth, comfortable customer experience. The two bathrooms are both individual and there are plenty of amenities like nooks and crannies the chat in and coat hooks and ledges and more private corners and food trucks rotate thru the good seasons and lots of lovely people always. Oakflower, just opened in 2022, was recommended time and time again, so we made this our first stop. I'm pleased to say it absolutely lived up to the hype. You can tell a brewery is serious about their beer when they don't offer flights or any kind of flavored seltzers. They are concentrating on making the best beer they can and it shows. 11 beers on tap with lots of hazy ales, a dangerously good 12.8% barrel aged stout, and a pale ale on nitro which I don't think I have ever seen before. We did a few tasters and a few full pours and everything we tried was fantastic. The taproom is spacious, airy, lots of plants and natural light which gave it a relaxed vibe. It was a Friday afternoon and was pleasantly full, with some of the bartenders passionately talking New York sports with some of the regulars. The friendly employees, the amazing beer, the well designed taproom, its location right across from an old train station in quaint downtown Millington... all of this together made for a perfect first visit.
