    Turkey legs

This place is an amazing! I hit up their Oktoberfest event--check out that Turkey leg! For about $50, you get a four hours of, all-you-can-eat-and-drink, great bang for your buck. Totally worth it. The outdoor seating? Perfect. The food? Mouthwatering--I sampled the bratwurst, beer pretzel and the turkey leg. Sorry couldn't take many pictures as I inhaled my food. And guess what? You can bring your furry friend. Absolutely loved it

Picture this: a group of gals go to a heart walk and you want to grab some brunch this is the spot. From the ambiance to the food I loved this place immediately. We did go when they first opened and didn't have a reservation but they were still fast making sure we were seated and had menus. I tried the pumpkin spice espresso martini and paired it with the Italian eggs Benny. *chefs kiss* I did sample the pecan pie espresso martini and like it better because it was sweeter so I'd recommend the pumpkin spice if you're absolutely obsessed with pumpkin. The eggs Benedict was delicious and everyone at the table loved the potatoes that came with the meal. Sign me up for anything prosciutto related. We finished off with the apple donut dessert and I was not disappointed however, it didn't need the apple pie component. The warm apple cider donut with the ice cream was plenty but I'll be back to try out their dinner menu.

Yesterday's visit was not my first. I've ordered from here several times to go and the food has been great and have eaten here in the past for lunch dinner and brunch and every meal has always been great with amazingly friendly service Four of us stopped in yesterday for brunch before they were even ready for service, the bartender could not have been more accommodating or friendly. A round of drinks to start, the pecan pie martini was absolutely fabulous. We all ordered breakfast options. I had the avocado toast, which was phenomenal and the breakfast potatoes were amazing. Everyone loved their meal. Their chicken soup is really good too

I wish Yelp allowed direct responses to reviews. As a longtime regular at Avenue Bistro, I feel compelled to address Rick B's inaccurate and unfair comments. I was there that day and saw him verbally attack patrons and berate the kind, hardworking bartender. His review is a misrepresentation of what actually happened--an exaggeration meant to justify his own behavior. No one deserves to lose their job over false claims. We love Avenue Bistro--thank you for your continued hospitality. And don't miss the pesto flatbread--it's the best on the menu!

My husband was out of town. To do something different, I decided to get a happy hour drink at Avenue Bistro. Was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The bartenders appeared to know a number of the patrons. The restaurant tables were also doing a decent business, including dining for some families with kids. I decided to try their house version of Buffalo wings with a maple syrup sauce. Good. My Tito's martini was good, though I thought just $2 bucks off for Happy Hour wasn't such a deal. Next time I'll go with a $5 glass of wine. This local watering hole with tavern food was nicer than I anticipated. Just shows me to try new places and see for myself!

Great atmosphere (specifically the outside)! If you want to feel like you're on vacation definitely try out this spot! Their tiki hut area is quite pleasant and the drinks are delicious.

Fun girls day out with my daughter. Darling place, close to where we live. Spontaneous lunch outing, which rarely happens due to work schedules etc. Always look forward to time with my daughter so I choose wisely where I'm going to spend my time and money to make it worth my while. This is the second time I've been to this place the first time was in 2018 for brunch and then time got away from us and then Covid so I feel honored that I was able to finally get back in and check it out. It is a full bar not a BYOB, however the cocktails were great. The service was great we had a lovely waitress who was super attentive and very friendly. Should a great T-shirt on I want to think it's a 'peace', fun vintage moment. The nachos were simply good and just OK. In all fairness I should try a meal and give it another go. The interior is lovely I'll be at a little dark. They do have outdoor seating but it was especially hot the day we went so we did sit inside. Lots of open windows and a very airy vibe which is good. I recommend at least trying it if you're in the area and want some good casual fare.

Only tiki bar near me is almost an hour away. So when I saw a post of one 15 minutes away, I was on it!! Entered on Bloomfield Ave. The front bar has open windows great for people watching. I would have stop there but I needed to experience the tiki vibe. I sat at a high top near the bar. Tiki cocktail list on the table has fun names. No tiki food specials but their lots of items on the menu. Get the mussels, the broth is good and you get large pieces of bread to soak it up. Skip the hot chicken sandwich. It needed seasoning and lack heat. It's truly the popular spot in Verona. Make a reservation. Cornhole game The staff is attentive Pet friendly Lots of parking in the rear

They have a cute patio outside in the back and they have great lunch specials as well as happy hour specials. Nice local place to stop by after work.

I went during St. Patrick's Day and it was a good fun celebration. Drinks were good. It was challenging getting a free bartender that day but that's understandable. I'll be coming back to try their food too next time.

This is one of my fav spots! I love the vibe here. The staff is professional and the bartender makes awesome cocktails. It's a chill place to grab a drink and relax. I've tried the classic cheeseburger and the shrimp po boy. Both were delicious. I recommend this place for a group outing with friends.

    Grilled cheese with no cheese.

The service is great and the beer was cold but don't order the grilled cheese dipper as it is missing cheese. It was a big disappointment. We love this place but the food has gone down hill the last few times we have been here. I hope that changes soon.

Dear Management Team, I am writing to formally report a severe case of food poisoning resulting from a takeout order I purchased from Parkside Social on April 17, 2026. Following the consumption of this meal, I became violently ill and required a two-day hospitalization. As a direct result of this incident, I have incurred significant medical bills and out-of-pocket costs, which are detailed in the attached documentation. While I understand your organization may not yet have accepted formal responsibility, the timeline and medical diagnosis directly link my illness to the food consumed from your establishment. I request a full reimbursement for the attached out-of-pocket medical expenses totaling $596.93. Please review the attached receipts and documentation. I look forward to your prompt response to resolve this matter amicably.

The Verona American Grill comes across as a recently-renovated, cute cafe with a new menu, yet still having some diner-ish style dishes. I ordered a cheeseburger and it came with fries and coleslaw. The presentation was really nice, near perfect if the fries were warmer. The cheeseburger was excellent and cole slaw was fresh. The next time I came back, they had already been swapped out for regular fries. Still, I became a regular and found my go-to favorites: the Cuban, the short rib tacos, and the short rib grilled cheese. When I came in today, all of those items were gone from the menu. I ended up just having a coffee and leaving. Removing staples like slow-cooked pork or beef feels like an odd choice. I understand times are hard for restaurants and costs are high, but those dishes are what made this place unique and worth seeking out. Shrimp tacos or regular burgers I can get at any diner. Please seriously consider bringing back the old menu items that set you apart.

It's already a bit inconvenient to come up with a dish on the spot, but to go the extra mile by caring that it would be satisfying as a main dish was really very kind. And it turned out fantastic. This restaurant has so much going for it in the quality of its ingredients and dish compositions. I would encourage the chef to consider how the can apply their creativity to a dedicated vegan dish as well. Lawd have mercy on my ears! The food was decent quality and largely portioned, but it was largely the same old Italian-American red sauce staples made by Spanish-speaking staff that you'd find at many "Italian" restaurants in NJ. - LK Caesar Salad: Eh. Limp lettuce, storebought dressing. No anchovies so not authentic, but I didn't expect any - Squid Ink Bucatini: Came with an okay amount of scallops and shrimp, and a skimpy portion of jumbo lump crab. Large, though, so I could have the rest for lunch the next day - Malfaldine Pasta: Points for the nice tomato cream sauce, but there wasn't much more to this besides the fun malfadine shape - Hen Of The Wood Mushrooms side: More like hen + shiitake. Lots of garlic flavor, but it was kind of drowning in oil. Service was okay, but like some reviewers have noted, it tended to skew young and green. Which was fine until things got LOUD and crowded--then we were waiting forever just to get extra water. I'd never been to Montclair before this dinner--but I have say I truly hope there's better Italian in this up and coming town.

The beef was sliced perfectly, the salted crackled pork eaten with the beef and aioli were a lovely mouthful of textures and rounded flavor. The next course was a beet salad. The golden beets were just tender while still firm. For my main, I selected the Parisian gnocchi with truffle sauce. If I could have eaten all of the sauce with a straw I would have.
